Ulric glanced at him, “So you took advantage of Tilda?”
Upon hearing this, Johnny couldn’t help but jump up and protest!
“What the hell! She was the one who disturbed me first! I just… just wanted to teach her a lesson! Her figure and face are not my type anyway.”
“She’s Rosalind’s friend. Don’t touch her.”
Ulric knew what kind of person Johnny was when it came to relationships. He always followed his desires without considering others’ feelings. So, he had to be cautious that Johnny wouldn’t hurt Tilda and put Rosalind in a difficult position.
“Touch her?!” Johnny’s expression was as if he had heard something outrageous. He vividly exclaimed, “Let me ask you, which one of the women I’ve been with before is not more beautiful than her?”
“Even if every woman in the world were to die, I would never be interested in Tilda!”
Ulric had never been interested in Johnny’s love affairs. Although every word Johnny said seemed to belittle Tilda, he couldn’t help but notice that his friend never strayed far from mentioning her. Something felt off.
“Do you like her?”
Ulric and Johnny didn’t need to beat around the bush.
“It’s impossible! Absolutely impossible!”
“Then stay away from her, change your hotel, and I’ll have someone rearrange everything for you.” Ulric paused and continued, “According to Rosalind, Tilda will be returning home soon.”
After going back, their paths would cross even less!
Tilda would continue living her life, and Johnny would continue his carefree lifestyle.
“No wonder she suddenly wanted to go out and see things. Turns out she’s leaving.” Johnny touched his nose. “Um… I have something to take care of. I need to go back.”
“What’s the matter?”
He seemed so urgent.
“It’s company business! I’ve been unconscious for so long. There are many things I need to handle!”
Ulric didn’t expose him and simply nodded. “Go ahead.”
“If you’re free tonight, I’ll come visit you again. Bye!”
Johnny waved his hand and disappeared in a flash.
Ulric covered his wound and slowly made his way back to where he was sitting before.
In fact, there were sofas in the hospital room. They were all more comfortable than sitting on a chair. But only by sitting on a chair could he be closest to Rosalind.
This time, no one disturbed them. He took out his phone and started dealing with the troublesome matters Cedric couldn’t handle on his own. Occasionally, he glanced at Rosalind.
What Ulric didn’t know was that he had been smiling the whole time.
Even the corners of his mouth were starting to stiffen, yet he refused to let go.
The information and documents Cedric sent him on his phone weren’t actually much, despite appearing like several pages. It was far less than what he had imagined.
Ulric could imagine how busy Cedric must have been during this time.
“Mr. Walters, are you there?”
Cedric quickly messaged when he saw his CEO online.
“Mm.”
“Miss Ruell asked me tearfully before, wanting to know about your situation. But I really don’t know much either. Besides, your father doesn’t allow me to…”
Ulric looked at the words on the screen and then shifted his gaze back to Rosalind’s face. There was an unfading affection in his eyes.
After a long while, he replied, “Rosalind is right next to me.”
Then he added a few more words, “She’s sleeping.”
“Miss Ruell actually went abroad to find you?!”
“Mm, this time she took the initiative to come to me.”
