She carefully thought about it. Her and Jake’s acting was so poor, yet Ulric had never suspected a thing. How could such an intelligent person not have noticed? It didn’t make any sense.
So the only explanation was that he knew all along but pretended not to know.
Ulric raised his gaze, Rosalind’s figure reflected in his pupils. After a long pause, he cleared his throat and spoke, “If you don’t want me to know, then I won’t know.”
He had always been like this!
Because Ulric knew very well that if he made any big moves, it would make Rosalind flee like a startled bird.
Even Cedric had asked before, wanting to know if the children were truly Ulric’s. Wasn’t it easy? Just do a paternity test! In the eyes of others, it seemed that with Ulric’s power, there was nothing he couldn’t accomplish. So why did he still need to pretend to be oblivious and handle things with caution?
But they didn’t understand! Ulric hoped that whether Rosalind stayed by his side or chose to leave him, it would be her own choice from the depths of her heart. Her happiness and well-being were the most important.
Rosalind felt as if she had been punched hard in the heart by his words.
The dignified president of W Group was willing to lower himself to such a humble extent for her. She really didn’t know how to respond.
After all, their relationship was not blessed by others.
“Um… Shall I help you wipe yourself? It must be uncomfortable lying down all the time without being able to take a shower.” Rosalind could only change the topic.
Ulric was used to her behavior like this and nodded. “Okay.”

Ulric let Rosalind take his phone and dial Johnny’s number.
Soon, someone answered on the other end. “Ulric! You can make phone calls now?”
“Yeah… I’m fine. Where are you?”
“I’m having dinner with an ungrateful woman! After we finish eating, I’ll come see you.”
Ulric and Rosalind exchanged a glance. “Is it Tilda?”
“Who else but her? This woman has been cursing at me all the way here, and I still have to serve her. What had I done to deserve this?!”
Listening to Johnny’s endless complaints on the other end, Rosalind finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Despite his complaints, he still helped take care of Tilda!
After hanging up the phone, Rosalind put down her phone and picked up the towel to gently wipe Ulric’s body, afraid of hurting him.
Although the doctor said it wasn’t necessary to go through all this trouble, Rosalind knew that he had severe cleanliness issues. Even if it had only been one day without showering, he would have a grumpy face and be irritable!
