Rosalind found it difficult to accept this condition. She pursed her lips, deep in thought.
Caesar sighed and looked at her. “Think about it, Rosalind. What will happen to the two children if they stay with you? They will have to fend for themselves, and you won’t be able to provide much support for their careers! Don’t count on Ulric helping the children in the future. Neither his mother nor I will agree to it.”
“I never intended for Ulric to do anything for the children,” she said. She had been trying to hide her children’s existence from the very beginning.
But things got out of control.
“Rosalind, don’t ruin the future of these two children for your own selfish desires! If they are with the Walters family, they will be a noble heir and lady. They will have a bright future! I promise you that even if Ulric remarries in the future and has more children, I will still set aside a portion of wealth and company shares for your two children. We can sign an agreement.”
Caesar couldn’t afford to lose these children from the Walters family.
Audrey despised Rosalind from the bottom of her heart, stemming from her favoritism towards Sirena. She believed that it was Rosalind’s interference that brought about their current situation. However, Caesar’s thoughts were different from Audrey’s.
He simply believed that Rosalind was not worthy of the Walters family.
Furthermore, his wife had made mistakes in the past. If Rosalind married into the Walters family… What if one day she discovered the truth about her mother’s death?
The Walters family would become a laughingstock in their circle!
The extent of the chaos was unpredictable.
Caesar wanted a peaceful life and didn’t want any earth-shattering events to occur again.
“I can forever deny that the children are from the Walters family. You don’t have to worry about others finding out.”
“Even if others don’t know, can you stop Ulric from looking for his children? Rosalind, I don’t want to make things difficult for you. My wife said you approached Ulric for money, but I didn’t believe it. But if you insist on keeping these two children with you…”
“Can I make a phone call?”
Rosalind suddenly looked up, as if she had made up her mind.
“Of course.”
Caesar didn’t know what she was going to do, but they were in Sweden. He doubted she could do anything significant.
Rosalind turned around and dialed the number B7 had given her before.
It took a while for him to answer.
The voice sounded groggy, indicating that he had just woken up and was quite irritable.
“What do you want?”
“I’m sorry to bother you. I just wanted to ask… when will that thing be restored?”
B7 paused for a moment on the other end and yawned. “Are you in a hurry? If so, pay extra, and I can prioritize your request.”
Rosalind pursed her lips. Where would she find extra money?
B7 sensed her meaning and laughed. “If you don’t have money, don’t rush me! It’ll take at least a month. Call me again after a month! Bye!”
Without waiting for Rosalind to say anything else, he hung up and went back to sleep.
Rosalind clenched her phone and then turned to look at Caesar.
“I can give the children to the Walters family, but I want to stay by Ulric’s side for a month, whether he wakes up or not.”
Caesar raised an eyebrow. “If he wakes up, he will definitely keep you.”
“No, he won’t.”
Once the hard drive was restored, everything would change…
