Chapter 415: I Will Go to the Hospital for the Second Time

Mr. Chow gave Sirena a chance. If she was willing to be honest, he would give her an opportunity. But if she continued to hide things, it would be clear she had something to do with the car accident.
“Mr. Chow, don’t you trust me?” she asked.
“Should I trust you?” Mr. Chow met her gaze directly, showing no mercy. “Sirena, have you lied so much that you’ve forgotten what you said before? When my son first entered the hospital, you knelt and admitted that you argued with him over Ulric, which led to his angry departure from the company. Now you say it was because of work?”
Having been in the business world for decades, Mr. Chow was not easily fooled. He wouldn’t believe everything she said just because she said it.
Mr. Chow didn’t pursue the matter immediately to let things cool down before catching her off guard with questions later. If her answers matched her previous statements exactly, he might believe her once. If not, she would be the prime suspect.
Mr. Chow had no ties with the Reynolds family and wouldn’t let anyone who tried to harm his son get away with it.
“… We initially argued about work, but then it was about Ulric,” Sirena said, realizing her mistake due to the stress and fear she had been under recently.
When Johnny first entered the hospital, she had tried too hard to clear herself of suspicion, which only made her look guiltier.
“You don’t need to change your story. I believe the truth will come out eventually. If it’s not you, there’s no need to worry,” Mr. Chow said as he stepped back and extended his hand. “You’ve seen how busy we are lately; we can’t entertain you. Go about your business. When my son wakes up, I’ll have him contact you.”
With this clear dismissal, Sirena had no choice but to leave.
She put down her things reluctantly. “Mr. Chow, I’ll come by again when I have time.”
“No need. You won’t see him until he wakes up.”
“Mr. Chow-”
“Take care,” Mr. Chow interrupted, pushing her things back to her. “Take these with you; I don’t want anything while I’m at the hospital alone.”
Humiliated by such a cold rejection, Sirena had no choice but to leave.
Back in her car, she quickly contacted the person she had hired for the car accident.
“You promised there would be no survivors! Now there’s a chance he’ll wake up!”
“I didn’t expect this either!” The person on the other end sounded helpless. “Should I go to the hospital and finish the job?”
“I don’t care how you do it; I paid you to solve this completely! Figure it out,” she demanded before hanging up.
Her mind was restless and uneasy, filled with a sense of foreboding.
“Johnny, you can’t blame me! I warned you not to interfere; it’s your fault for not listening.”
He knew she wanted to marry Ulric but still did things that worked against her! Johnny was foolish!
Even Rosalind’s death hadn’t been enough to warn Johnny off interfering; what more could she say? He was just stupid!
