“Impossible! You’re lying to a kid!”
Ulric shrugged, took out his phone, and softly recited, “1:03 AM, 10:27 AM, hmm… you logged into the server just a minute ago.”
“…,” Jake’s eyes widened in disbelief. “I clearly reset and cleared everything!”
Seeing his son’s conflicted and frustrated face, Ulric couldn’t help but walk back and pinch his cheek.
“Who taught you these skills?”
“My master! He’s amazing!”
Watching his son boast about someone else with such enthusiasm, Ulric raised an eyebrow jealously and said, “Once I finish my work, I’ll teach you myself.”
He grabbed his car keys and headed out to the supermarket. To ensure his son ate healthily, he bought extra ingredients.
As he was leaving, he noticed a toy stand at the entrance. He had walked past it but then turned back.
“Hello, could you help me carry these to my car?”
“Of course, sir!”
After buying everything, Ulric realized it was almost time for his meeting. Knowing he wouldn’t have time to cook, he paused for a second before calling Cedric.
“Postpone the meeting by three hours.”
“Mr. Walters, that means you won’t have any rest tonight!”
“My son wants to try my cooking.”
With that one sentence, Cedric understood everything immediately. “I’ll notify everyone right away.”
“By the way, is the Eastsun Corporation matter settled?”
“It’s settled, Mr. Walters! That Lion tried to use his power to fire Miss Ruell, but I intercepted it and stripped him of his authority.”
Cedric continued to chatter on about Rosalind and Miss Ruell. Ulric frowned as he listened.
“Did I ask about Rosalind? I asked about Eastsun Corporation!”
“Oh, right! I understand, Mr. Walters. Everything is taken care of! Both Miss Ruell and Eastsun Corporation are handled!”

Hanging up the phone, Ulric’s previously expressionless face suddenly broke into a smile.
He used to overthink and worry too much. Now, simply bringing someone he wanted to see closer should be natural, right?
Even if he couldn’t stand by her side as a husband, being her boss would suffice.
Lion knew she was married yet still pursued her because he was her superior. Now that Ulric was also her superior, he wanted to try Lion’s approach.
If Rosalind could tolerate Lion, why not him?

Ulric returned to Easthaven Bay with his groceries. As soon as he opened the door, he saw Jake fiddling with his computer on the living room sofa!
Hearing the sound, Jake quickly put it down like a thief and pretended to watch TV!
Ulric smiled indulgently. “You can play as much as you want. I’ve locked my meeting channels; you can’t get in.”
Jake pouted. “I’ll crack it sooner or later!”
“You can try.”
Ulric laughed as he carried the groceries into the kitchen. Rolling up his sleeves, he began methodically chopping vegetables and cooking.
Jake followed in his slippers, watching as dish after dish was prepared and placed on the table.
Looking at the delicious food with its enticing aroma and appearance, Jake was skeptical until he put a piece of fish in his mouth-
“Mm!!! This is delicious!!! If my sister were here, she would love it too!”
Ulric paused with the plate in hand, raising an eyebrow slightly. “Your sister?”
