Chapter 762: The Woman Outside Isaac’s Door

The next day, Callie woke up early. She dressed in a women’s suit and stepped out in high heels, exuding confidence.
Regan had kept her company all night but left early in the morning. Just as Callie was about to enter the elevator, someone approached and blocked the door with their hand. “You must be Regan. Can we talk?”
Callie raised an eyebrow, seeing a woman in front of her who was dressed modestly. The woman looked at her cautiously, with an unusual possessiveness in her eyes.
“And you are?”
“I’m Bryanna. We spoke on the phone last time.”
Callie didn’t understand who this person was, and Regan hadn’t given her any heads up.
The woman continued, “Since we happen to live in the same place, why don’t we have a conversation that covers everything? It’ll be better for both of us, and for Isaac too.”
Isaac.
Callie smiled and understood what this was about. It was a love affair.
The house that Jamir introduced was in a good location, with a great view of the river. Bryanna felt the spaciousness as she walked in.
“Let’s get straight to the point, Bryanna. I’m busy,” Callie slouched on the couch, exhausted and lazy.
Bryanna also didn’t want to waste time with her and went straight to the point. “Five million dollars, and you divorce Isaac.”
Callie frowned and almost choked on her saliva. She chuckled and asked sarcastically, “Five million dollars?”
Bryanna stared at her warily. “What do you mean by that?”
“Do you know how much this house I live in costs?” Callie teased. “Fifty million dollars. Paid in full. I have several properties like this in Ylosea.”
In fact, she didn’t have any houses, but she was good at bragging.
Especially when it was for Regan.
During the pause in their conversation, Callie discreetly messaged Regan to ask what was going on.
Bryanna’s chest heaved.
“Five million dollars is the price of a piece of clothing to me. Are you looking down on me or looking down on Isaac by offering me a piece of clothing in exchange?” Bryanna asked defensively.
Callie said this with a relaxed posture, confident in her demeanor. She had a natural air of a young lady, and Bryanna suddenly felt inferior and didn’t know how to respond.
“So what if you’re rich? You know very well that Isaac and I are a perfect match. You insisted on marrying him despite his family’s objection. If you were in my shoes, how would you feel? Isaac told me that the Ellison family won’t agree to a divorce, but as long as you show the same persistence as when you were pursuing him, the Ellison family will give in. And once everything is settled, I’ll give you five million dollars. You’ll make a profit!” Bryanna said excitedly, completely unaware that what she was saying wasn’t true.
“Ten million dollars, now that’s an interesting deal,” Callie pretended to consider seriously for a moment. “How will you give it to me?”
Bryanna took out a bank card from her bag. “There’s five million dollars inside. Consider it a deposit.”
Callie picked up the card and played with it for a moment before snapping it in half.
“You!” Bryanna stood up in disbelief. “What are you doing?”
“Do you think I’m a fool?” Callie raised her gaze, speaking sternly. “If I accepted this card, you could easily go to the bank and show them the transaction records. You could tell Isaac or even the Ellison family that I transferred your assets. With my current reputation, they would believe it without question. And then you could boldly enter our lives! You’re quite audacious!”
Bryanna had heard that Isaac’s wife was a difficult young lady to deal with, but she hadn’t expected her to be so assertive.
