Chapter 741: Attacking Callie with Murderous Intent

Book:Married The Day We Met Published:2025-2-7

Callie’s eyes and mouth were covered, and she could feel herself being placed into a vehicle. The vehicle moved smoothly, and there were loud noises outside, but gradually, it became quieter. She panicked and tried to move her feet, but soon a blow struck her, hitting her bones.
She winced in pain.
This was a deadly attack.
In Anbusea, who would want to kidnap her, even to the point of killing her?
Could it be Mike holding a grudge? No, he had already made a deal with Jaquan, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to dig his own grave.
Then who could it be?
The fog in Callie’s mind grew thicker, and she became more and more afraid.
After an unknown amount of time, the car finally stopped. The driver got out and said something to someone, then the car door opened. Callie was dragged out by the man, forcefully.
The door opened, and a chilling breeze hit Callie as she was pushed to the ground with a thud.
Someone said, “Boss, let her mouth open, don’t suffocate her.”
“Got it.”
The cloth in Callie’s mouth was pulled out, and she took a deep breath. Then they removed her blindfold. She hadn’t adjusted to the brightness yet when she shouted loudly before they left, “Who ordered you to kidnap me! Do you know who I am?”
“Save your energy!”
A dismissive remark shut down Callie’s words. The door closed, and she only had time to get a rough idea of the height of the two men.
Callie stood up and looked around. This seemed to be a warehouse, filled with all sorts of miscellaneous items. There were many closed large boxes, and she didn’t know what was inside.
She examined carefully and was glad that she had done her nails today when accompanying Jaquan, which now helped her to cut through the tape.
She opened the box, and inside were bottles of liquor and some high-end cigarettes. After unpacking a few more boxes, the contents were the same.
When Callie switched to a different position and opened another box, she found pills packed in plastic bags.
Upon closer inspection, they were likely the kinds of substances used for enhancing the party atmosphere in nightclubs.
While possession of such substances in small quantities is not illegal, the warehouse contained more than a dozen boxes, far exceeding any reasonable amount. How daring.
Callie was certain that those who kidnapped her were connected to Dragonstone. Who could it be?
The warehouse was cold and damp, and she was dressed lightly, trembling uncontrollably from the chill.
She didn’t know how long she had been there when she suddenly heard a creak, indicating someone opening the warehouse door.
Callie squinted and saw a short, thin man approaching her against the light, moving with clear purpose.
“Who are you…” She regained her senses and tried to back away.
“You bitch, I’ve seen you a few times. Your figure is really good.” As he spoke, he reached to touch her lower back with a greasy voice. “Give me some fun.”
Callie struggled fiercely, resisting his assault, shouting, “If you touch me, you’re dead!”
“You’re just a woman who’s going to die anyway. What do I have to be afraid of?” His actions grew bolder, his body pressing against hers.
Callie screamed, her voice echoing in the warehouse, but no one responded.
She couldn’t see the man’s face clearly, only that he was not particularly large and was not among those who had escorted her today.
Pushing hard, her hands instinctively moved to her waist, feeling a cold object, which gave her a sense of security.
Callie swiftly pulled it out, and with a swift motion, pressed it to the man’s head. “Try moving one more inch!”
“You!” The man’s lick-and-touch actions froze instantly; he never imagined she would have a gun!
