Anbusea was unlike Ylosea, being a tourist city with few entertainment venues. The largest was Dragonstone.
At three in the morning, Dragonstone was bustling. A group of voluptuous women stood at the entrance, waiting for their respective bosses.
To avoid drawing attention, Callie had everyone wait outside and only took Kieran inside.
This was the peak of debauchery. They found a corner to sit in and observed. Despite the apparent chaos, many professionals patrolled the area, tattoos covering their arms, looking fierce.
“Since Mike is the boss, he probably wouldn’t attend such an event,” Kieran said, opening a bottle of wine.
“Look closely at what they’re checking,” Callie observed carefully.
The patrols were thorough, inspecting each booth.
Kieran thought for a moment. “In this kind of place, it must be contraband.”
Callie agreed. “So how do we meet Mike?”
They exchanged a glance.
Callie took a swig from the bottle, almost choking on her tears, then pulled out a small packet of powder from her pocket.
Kieran was shocked. “Sis…” He even forgot to call her by her title.
Callie raised her hand. “It’s popping candy. I had someone buy it before we came in.”
Kieran smirked. “What are you planning…”
Callie opened the packet and, just as the patrol approached, she poured it into her mouth. The candy crackled loudly as she feigned enjoyment and collapsed onto the sofa, her face flushed.
Kieran immediately shielded her.
The obvious act caught the patrol’s attention. They rushed over and pushed Kieran aside. “What are you doing!”
Callie, looking intoxicated, batted her eyes seductively.
“Stupid woman!” One of them yanked her up. “Daring to play in Mike’s place!”
Callie slipped like an eel, kneeling and clutching one of their legs. “Sir, please don’t tell…”
Even Kieran, who had seen much, was stunned by her performance.
But these men were used to such women and showed no mercy, kicking Callie away. “Call the police.”
Callie winced in pain but continued her act. “No, don’t call the police. I have a record…”
“With a record and still daring to take drug here? You’ve got guts!” One of them grabbed her arm. “You look unfamiliar.”
Callie’s eyes lit up. “I know Mike. If you don’t believe me, ask him!”
They hesitated, exchanging glances. “Everyone knows Mike’s name. You say you know him?”
“I really do!” Callie crawled on the floor, hair disheveled, exuding charm. “I knew him over ten years ago when he was still a hospital director…”
She had no real leverage but this one piece of information.
Their actions paused, their gazes turning complex as they began to waver.
Callie pressed on. “Really, go ask him…”
The leader immediately told his subordinate, “Go inform him.”
He then squatted down, gripping Callie’s face. “Stupid woman, if this place gets raided because of you, you’ll face the consequences!”
He shoved Callie away roughly. She clung to him again. “I won’t dare again, sir.”
Ten minutes later, the informant returned. “Mike said to bring her up.”
