Callie calmed down, wiped her eyes, and looked like the little girl she used to be. “Professor, you’ve aged.”
The Professor shooed Nelson out of the room. “You go out, I want to talk to Callie alone.”
Nelson gave Callie a questioning look, asking if it was okay.
Callie nodded.
The Professor tentatively asked her, “Nelson treats you well, right? If not, tell me, and I’ll deal with him. After all, I still have some influence over his mentor.”
Callie shook her head. “Don’t worry, he treats me very well, Professor.”
The Professor sighed. “I’m a bit surprised that you two ended up together. I thought you would be with that other guy till the end.”
Callie forced a smile. “It’s probably fate. Some people just can’t stay together till the end. I realized that a long time ago.”
The Professor noticed her change and felt a pang of sadness, deciding not to bring it up again.
They talked for a long time, while poor Nelson waited outside.
His face was particularly striking and recognizable. At this time of day, the campus was bustling with people, and many easily recognized him.
-Nelson? Why is Nelson here?
-Oh my god, this is amazing!
-Who is he?
-Just look at him! He’s so handsome! He was once a student here at Ylosea University but only studied for a year before going abroad.
-Quick, take a picture.

Within a few hours, these photos were uploaded to social media, creating a news buzz: Nelson attended Ylosea University’s anniversary celebration.
In the photos, he had a jacket draped over his arm and wore a white shirt, leaning against the wall with an exceptional demeanor.
But that’s another story.
The Professor just felt that Callie had become too quiet. Her eyes seemed gentle but always felt like they were hiding something, a silence that was unsettling.
Upon reflection, it was much like the man outside.
Callie broke the silence. “Professor, has Jamir ever come back over the years?”
Her initiative to ask surprised the Professor. She shook her head. “No, just like you.”
Callie chuckled lightly. “What happened between Jamir and me is long over and will never change. Professor, I love Nelson very much now. I hope you can help me by not mentioning this past in front of him.”
“… I understand.”
The conversation ended there.
When Nelson saw Callie again, he noticed her relaxed expression and felt relieved as he took her back to the car.
However, due to the earlier exposure, the campus roads were crowded with people wanting to catch a glimpse of Nelson.
In a distant corner stood a man leaning against a tree, coldly watching as Nelson’s car gradually disappeared from sight.
Nelson held Callie’s hand firmly as if determined never to let go.
Callie gazed at the scenery outside the car window and suddenly remembered something from long ago.
Many years ago, in winter, Ylosea experienced a rare heavy snowfall. At that time, the Professor had just learned about her relationship with Jamir. The two of them walked in the snow.
The Professor suddenly asked her, “Do you really like that guy?”
In the silent world, snowflakes drifted down like floating destinies.
Her face was flushed red; she didn’t know if it was from the cold or shyness.
Her answer was clear and resolute: “Yes, I really like him.”
That was a long time ago.
Nelson noticed her pensive profile and seemed to sense she had something on her mind. He suddenly thought of something. “There are no students around here anymore. Want to take a walk?”
Callie stiffened. “Walk where?”
“Show me around your school.”
