Chapter 535: Revenge Begins Now

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2025-2-7

A woman agreeing to be with another man in front of her husband-what could hurt a man more than this? No matter how strong you are, what use is it? In the face of money, strength amounts to nothing.
Yes, to everyone watching, it wasn’t Mr. Falcon’s charm that made Georgia leave Kayden-it was his wealth.
At this moment, Georgia filled everyone’s hearts with disappointment. This woman, they thought, truly loved vanity.
Luther was utterly stunned by what had just happened. Was it real? Did Georgia really say yes to him?
Happiness came so suddenly that he couldn’t process it. He had finally succeeded. His confession had worked. After chasing her for so long and planning so carefully, he had finally moved Georgia’s heart.
Luther convinced himself it was his piano piece that touched Georgia, making her leave Kayden and decisively choose him.
Gripping Georgia’s hand tightly, Luther said, “Did you hear that? If you’re smart, you’ll get out of here right now. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you’ll never survive in this city.”
“I’ll let this slide because of Georgia,” Luther added with a menacing glare at Kayden. “You hit our bodyguards, but I won’t make a fuss about it. However, don’t you ever show up in front of us again.”
Kayden’s anger was pushed to its limits. Luther’s words were like fuel to the fire.
Pointing a finger at Luther, Kayden roared, “I don’t know what tricks you used to manipulate my wife, but I promise you, your end will be miserable.”
Slap!
Before Kayden could finish his sentence, a sharp slap echoed in the air. Georgia’s hand had struck his face. In this world, only Georgia dared to hit Kayden-only she could.
Who was Kayden?
He was Seclela’s war god, its pride and honor. A man of such stature, untouchable, unreachable, invincible.
Countless people wanted him dead, but no one could get close enough to harm him.
Yet, he let his guard down completely around Georgia, the woman who was his everything. And because of that, he was caught off guard as the slap landed heavily on his face.
“Kayden, I’m warning you! If you dare do anything to Luther, I will fight you to the end!” Georgia’s voice trembled, tears beginning to well in her eyes.
She grabbed Luther’s hand and said firmly, “Let’s go, Luther!”
With that, she pulled Luther out of the Empire Club. The other patrons scattered, leaving the place in eerie silence.
Kayden’s ears still rang from the slap, its sting lingering.
What had happened recently to make Georgia change so drastically? Was she being threatened by Luther? Or was there something else she didn’t want him to know?
Whatever it was, Kayden knew this wasn’t simple.
He decided to drop everything else and get to the bottom of it.
Unknowingly, Georgia’s place in Kayden’s heart had risen to the very top.

After leaving the Empire Club, Georgia got into Luther’s car.
The moment she sat down, tears began streaming uncontrollably down her face.
Luther glanced at her but said nothing. He started driving aimlessly through the city, letting her calm down.
Georgia couldn’t make sense of why Kayden had come back. Hadn’t he already sent someone to hurt her once? Did he want to hurt her again?
Why? Why did he have to be so cruel to her?
The more she thought about it, the more suffocated she felt. And the more suffocated she felt, the harder it was to stop her tears.
Luther finally broke the silence. “Georgia, it’s okay now. Don’t worry. I’ll always be here for you from now on. That guy won’t do anything to you again. As long as I’m here-”
“Can you stop talking? Just let me be quiet for a while,” Georgia interrupted between sobs.
Luther nodded and continued driving in silence.
After a long while, when Georgia’s emotions had finally settled a bit, Luther asked, “Georgia, where should we go now? How about we head to my place?”
Now that they were officially in a relationship, Luther couldn’t wait to take Georgia to his home.
Georgia took a deep breath and looked at Luther’s slightly eager face. “Take me home, Luther. Thank you for today,” she said softly.
Luther froze for a moment, unsure of what to make of her reaction.
Unbeknownst to him, he had become Georgia’s shield to push Kayden away. Yet, Luther still naively believed it was his piano piece that had moved her. After all, she had cried when he finished playing it.
He thought to himself that he shouldn’t rush things. They had just gotten together, and after the incident with Kayden earlier, it wasn’t the right time to push for more.
“Alright, I’ll take you home,” Luther replied, though deep inside, he was seething with hatred for Kayden.
That idiot dared to compete with him for Georgia. Did he even know how he was going to die?
Luther felt a surge of pride as he recalled confessing to Georgia in front of her husband-and her saying yes. It reaffirmed his belief in his own irresistible charm.
At Georgia’s apartment complex, Luther stopped the car.
“Georgia, let me walk you upstairs. I can meet your parents, too. I even have some tea in the car that I bought recently. I’ll bring it for your dad,” Luther offered.
“No, thank you, Luther,” Georgia said, her voice heavy with sorrow.
She stepped out of the car, paused, and added, “About today-I hope you won’t take it to heart. I’m sorry.”
Then, without waiting for a reply, she walked away.
Luther stared blankly at her retreating figure, muttering to himself, “Don’t take it to heart? What does she mean by that? Is she talking about agreeing to be my girlfriend? Or Kayden attacking my men?”
“Of course, it’s the second one,” Luther decided. “She must be apologizing for what Kayden did.”
Relieved by this thought, he grinned.
To him, winning Georgia was now just a matter of time. As for when they would truly be sleeping together, that was only a matter of patience.
But Kayden? He hadn’t forgotten about him. The man had humiliated him. Luther decided to bring in two more skilled fighters from Zlando. Kayden would soon pay for what he had done.
This was just the beginning.
Now, the revenge would start.
