Vincente scanned everyone in the room with a stern face, then snorted and scolded, “Always quarreling! What’s your demeanor? Have you not realized the seriousness of the situation?”
“Father is hell-bent on making Kayden the future head. We should be united now. What are you guys doing? Causing family strife now?”
As the big brother, his words were effective.
“You are so ignorant! Father had never mentioned it over the years, and when he did, he wanted to make Kayden the future family head instead of any of our children. Do you know why?”
The two brothers looked at each other in confusion.
Vicente said, “It’s because Kayden’s father is dead! When Ambrose was still alive, father wanted him to be the future head of the family. After so many years of not mentioning it, he suddenly did. Do you think it’s because we were rushing him? It’s because Kayden has grown up!”
“As long as Kayden is alive, the future heir will be him!”
Everyone in the room was shocked!
They all stared at Vicente, who had a frown on his face and looked angry.
It seemed Vicente wanted to get rid of Kayden.
“Vincente, are you saying we should get rid of Kayden?” asked Dalton with a confused look on his face, his heart thumping as he asked the question.
Vicente’s eyes quickly looked towards Dalton, and he said sternly, ”What are you talking about? I can’t get rid of him even if I wanted to. Do you think he’s that easy to deal with? Even Asad couldn’t do anything about him, let alone me!”
“So what do you say?”
“The most important thing at the moment is, of course, to hold Brodie’s engagement party first and invite Kayden here. That’s the priority! Something is bound to go wrong at the engagement party. If Kayden makes a scene there with so many family present, do you think Jason will let him go?”
“Dad, do you have any idea?”
Vicente didn’t say anything, just gave Brodie a look and asked, “What? You also want Kayden gone?”
Brodie sneered, “Kayden is making all of us look bad.”
As soon as he spoke, a girl’s voice suddenly came from the door.
“Brodie!” a ponytailed Ann ran in through the door.
She came to Brodie and said, “Brodie, I heard about what happened from Grandpa. Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to bring Kayden here.”
Brodie asked, “What do you have in mind?”
“I haven’t thought of anything yet? But there will always be a way! Just don’t worry about it.”
With those words, Ann ran out with a smile on her face.
At Azure Cloud Resort.
Inside a secret room, a one-armed man holding a sword knelt in front of a middle-aged man.
“Mr. Hudson, I was incompetent and failed to remove his arm. Instead, he took one of my arms.” White Wolf fell to his knees in front of Gavin with a look of fear and trepidation.
“Please punish me, Mr. Hudson!” White Wolf lowered his head with self-reproach.
Last night, after having his arm severed, White Wolf rushed back to Western Frontier in the night. He was in pain, but there was no time for him to rest or bandage. He came here first thing to apologize.
More importantly, he desperately wanted to know who that young man was!
White Wolf was a Hermit in the Grand level Hermit and was able to minimize the blood loss. The pain was still there, but he was much more tolerant than ordinary people.
If it were an ordinary person, not to mention traveling all night, holding on for half an hour would have been impossible.
Gavin Hudson stared in disbelief at White Wolf’s arm, which had been removed.
White Wolf was Western Frontier’s most talented martial artist. He was only twenty-eight years old and he was already a Hermit in the Grand level. Throughout Seclela, there was almost no one who could surpass his talent.
Gavin was often glad to have such a genius at his side.
However, that man chopped off his arm! It wasn’t just White Wolf’s arm that was chopped off, it was also his Hand!
He asked with a face full of surprise, “Does he have many powerful fighters around him?”
He really couldn’t see that guy having such extraordinary abilities! His first reaction wasn’t to think that the guy did it, he thought maybe the guy had many excellent fighters.
With White Wolf’s fighting skills, it would indeed take a lot of men teaming up to take off his arm.
White Wolf shook his head and said with a guilty look on his face, “No. He had no men with him! He was a Hermit himself, and my arm was taken off by him! He did it with my blade.”
“What?” Gavin was shocked. That guy looked like just a college student in his twenties, how could he take the arm of one of Western Frontier’s best fighters, White Wolf?
Unbelievable!
Seeing Gavin’s look of disbelief, White Wolf reminded, “It’s true. He’s the one who took my arm! He’s at least a Master. He also knows Scarlet Blade! He turned my word into that.”
Scarlet Blade! Turning the blade into scarlet red was something above the Master level could do.
Could it be that the guy was really a Master?
Gavin couldn’t sit still anymore and stood up from his chair, taking two steps forward, his eyes narrowed.
That guy looked even younger than White Wolf. How could he be a Master? How could Seclela have such a young Master? If there was really a Master that young, it would have been known a long time ago!
There hadn’t been a Master that young in all these years, except for Landon Quinn, the one-in-a-million genius!
Could it be that the guy was also a rare genius?
Who is he?
Just as Gavin was filled with confusion, White Wolf suddenly thought of what Kayden had said and said, “He also said that you would tell me who he was.”
Gavin’s already furrowed brow furrowed even deeper as he heard this, and his memory began to work.
Who is he? Who the hell is he?
Did he know that guy?
Seclela did have many hermits and masters, but there really wasn’t one who could reach the Master level at such a young age!
Azure Cloud Resort was also considered a strong force in Seclela, and it had the most information from various sources.
He was supposed to know this man? Was this man well-known?
Hermits are known for hiding their whereabouts, and since the man said that, it meant he must have met or heard of him!
First, he was sure he had never met anyone like that!
So… he must have heard of him?
Suddenly, someone came into Gavin’s mind.
Could it be him?
