Vicente Scott’s wife, Neve, nudged him and then gave him a look.
Vicente realized and quickly said, “Dad, didn’t you hear that? Kayden doesn’t care about the family at all… Brodie is young and we can’t delay his marriage because of Kayden, right?”
Neve took advantage of it and rushed to say, “Yes! Kayden doesn’t even consider himself a member of the family. We can’t get him close. Even if he comes, if he makes a big fuss at the engagement party like he did last time, how should we solve it? He will humiliate you.”
“We’ve done what family should by calling him, and if he doesn’t come, it’s not our fault.”

Vicente didn’t answer, and Neve came over and held Brodie’s arm, soothing him, “No! That’s your grandfather being blind! He doesn’t even realize how good you are!”
Speaking of which, Neve sneered and said crossly, “I really don’t know what your grandfather is thinking. There are so many excellent young men in our family, but he chose Kayden instead of them!”
“That’s right! Look at Cole. He’s joined the Protector of the Country!” murmured a plump-looking woman who touched the ring on her ring finger.
The woman was wearing a dress that outlined her perfect figure.
After speaking, she straightened her back and had a confident look on her face.
The woman was Beth, the wife of Dalton Scott, the fourth of Jason’s four sons who also had four sons.
And Vicente, the oldest, had two daughters and a son, Brodie.
Kayden’s father, Ambrose, was the second oldest among his brothers, and Kayden was his only son.
Jason’s third son, Edgar, had three daughters and a son who was now only eight years old and had absolutely no chance of competing for the future heir. His oldest daughter was Ann, who was still in college.
“Oh, Beth, you’re a real joker! You seem so proud of Cole,” Edgar’s wife, Julian, said with a mocking smile as she folded her arms.
Beth laughed, “Cole is excellent, don’t you think so?”
“Yeah, sure! An ‘excellent’ young man! Protector of the Country? Have you forgotten how your son got to Godsent School? Jason got Cole to Godsent School because he couldn’t stand him there. Did you really think Jason did that to train him? No. That was just to send him away!” Julian said with mockery.
“What do you know? I won’t even bother to argue with someone like you!”
“Yeah, sure! All I know is that when Cole was here, all he did was fooling around in clubs! Sending him there was sending him to jail! What are you thinking? How could you be proud of that?” Julian was completely merciless.
Beth nodded in exasperation, then she said in a calm voice, “What’s wrong with young men having a little fun? Even you are still having fun at your age!”
Earlier, Julian had a bit of a fling with one of the bodyguards, and Beth caught it. It reached Edgar’s ears but Edgar stopped it from being spread to Jason.
If this had gotten to Jason, Julian might have been kicked out already!
Beth brought up her bad records, and Julian’s expression changed as she snapped, “Beth, watch your language when you speak!”
Beth realized that she shouldn’t have mentioned it, so she said, ”Forget it! Even if you look down on Cole, I have three other sons. Unlike you, who only has an eight-year-old boy. So useless!”
“Beth! Are you comparing who has more sons?” Edgar stood up from his chair in agitation and growled furiously.
Upon hearing his angry roar, Beth’s face turned pale.
“Edgar, I know you want Brodie to lead the Scott family, but that doesn’t mean Brodie has a chance. Maybe Cole will rise one day?” Dalton said with an evil look on his face.
Edgar stared at Dalton and said, word for word, “No way!”
“Father has never appreciated Cole. Do you think Cole has a chance? Well, that’s just what you think!”
Dalton laughed, ”Is that so? Although Cole was imprisoned, he performed well! Now he has already become Mr. Davies Monroe’s apprentice! As long as he can become Davies’ disciple, he will be a part of Godsent School! At that time, he will become the hope of us all!
