Clifford shook his head, his tone sharp as he confronted Alexie. “You’re her elder brother. How could you let this happen? Didn’t you try to stop it?”
Emily Wong let out a dry laugh. “Uncle, you weren’t there to see it. That Flynn-he was practically a madman, a violent brute. And the crucial part? He’s a Grandmaster. He didn’t even bother to show Rolando any respect. How could Alexie stop him?”
“Grandmaster? That Flynn is a Grandmaster?” Holger froze, his voice filled with doubt.
Emily Wong nodded, recounting the events in detail. “Flynn slapped Jiri Langley across the room and even injured the bodyguards from several families.”
“Grandfather, this isn’t Big Brother’s fault. It’s all because Flynn is out of his mind!”
Everyone fell silent, their faces reflecting a mix of shock and disbelief.
Eduardo murmured, “So, it’s true that Flynn knows Orion Kennedy and the others.”
“A young and remarkable man like that-it’s no surprise Orion Kennedy and his circle would want to associate with him.”
Eduardo’s words made Jakub’s face darken. “What do you mean by that?”
“Remarkable? That lunatic? I see nothing but a madman! Even if he’s connected to those wealthy elites from Niarak, so what?”
“He’s offended the entire Pelens!”
“Does he think he can handle the combined might of the Gray family, Langford family, and Sheppard family? How dare he!”
Jakub’s harsh tone silenced Eduardo, who lowered his head, too afraid to speak further.
Maria cast a cold glance at Jakub before turning to Holger. “Maybe Flynn does have some skill. Why don’t we invite him here and question him properly?”
Scarlet had once told her that Flynn was not just a Grandmaster-he was a Great Grandmaster and an extraordinary healer.
After all, to slap Jiri Langley into the air like that, he had to be no ordinary Grandmaster. Could Flynn be a true dragon among men?
“Invite him here? What are you thinking?”
“We should be distancing ourselves from him as much as possible!”
Holger’s face turned grim. “The Kaur family may not be among the top-tier families in Pelens, but we have our own rules!”
“Scarlet brought him home without the family’s consent-she’s already sparked outrage.”
“And that Flynn, with his explosive temper, dared to cripple the Langford family’s young master.”
“Even if he had status and ability, the Wong family wouldn’t dare to associate with someone like him!”
Maria froze, stunned into silence. She couldn’t bring herself to speak another word in Flynn’s defense.
She knew that even if Holger acknowledged Flynn now, it wouldn’t save him.
The trouble Flynn caused was too great!
Even if it had been Alexie involved, the Wong family wouldn’t have been able to shield him, let alone someone as unwelcome as Flynn.
Holger let out a heavy sigh, his expression clouded with worry. “We have no choice but to visit the Gray family and beg Peter to mediate, so the Wong family can distance itself from this mess.”
“As for Flynn, we may have to help deal with him to prove our stance.”
“You three brothers, come with me to the Gray family.”
Ideally, they should have visited Felix Langford first, given his severe injuries. But Holger felt it was more prudent to consult the Gray family and gauge the Langfords’ reaction before making any moves.
If the Langford family unleashed their fury at the hospital, the Wong family wouldn’t be able to bear the consequences.

Pelens First Hospital
In the intensive care unit, Felix Langford’s father, Adria Langford, paced the corridor, his face dark and cold.
When the incident occurred, he had been in a meeting. He had rushed to the hospital the moment he heard the news.
The Langford family members sat on the hallway benches, their wails echoing through the space. Tears streamed down their faces, and grief consumed them.
“Adria, the doctors said our son will never leave his wheelchair for the rest of his life. That lunatic was too cruel! Felix only provoked him with a few words, and he crippled him for life.”
“Who gave him the audacity?!”
“I don’t care-if this doesn’t end with justice, I’ll never forgive you!” Felix’s mother sobbed, her voice hoarse from crying.
Adria Langford remained silent, but a storm brewed in his eyes.
“Mr. Langford, I failed to protect Felix. This is my fault,” Rolando said apologetically, standing nearby.
Adria forced a weak smile, patting Rolando’s shoulder. “This isn’t your fault. The blame lies with Flynn and his vicious nature.”
“He dared to break my son’s limbs. The Langford family will make sure he pays the ultimate price.”
Rolando nodded. “Mr. Langford, my grandfather has already informed my uncle. He’s on his way to the hospital now.”
“He will make sure Flynn is punished severely.”
Adria felt a flicker of relief at those words. He nodded. “Peter is thoughtful, and Nick’s effort is appreciated.”
“Today, I’ll make sure that lunatic pays a thousandfold for what he’s done!”
A flash of venom crossed his eyes, his expression growing darker.
As Rolando left the hospital, a sly smile tugged at his lips.
Flynn thought he could singlehandedly challenge the Pelens elite?
Let’s see about that!
Rolando didn’t take Flynn seriously. The Gray family alone could crush him.
But Rolando saw this as an opportunity-a chance to showcase the Gray family’s influence and power.
He wanted all of Pelens to witness his connections and the true strength of the Wong family.
With every key player already mobilized-Peyton ready to lend his support, and Jiri Langley reaching out to Ethan Langley-the stage was set.
The Langford family would play the lead, while the others would act as supporting characters in this grand performance.
Flynn’s fate was sealed. There was no escape.
Scarlet would be his, and his alone.

Sheppard Family
“Peyton, what did you just say? Felix Langford was beaten up?” Bobby Sheppard asked, stunned.
Peyton nodded. “Yes, the man was outrageous. After crippling Felix Langford, he even declared war on all the elite families of Pelens.”
“He wants us to bring out all our connections to see how we’ll suppress him!”
“Rolando asked me to stand with him, and I agreed.”
Bobby Sheppard inhaled sharply.
He hadn’t expected things to escalate this far.
Felix Langford was the Langford family’s only male heir, destined to inherit the family headship and take over Emberglow Enterprises. Now, he was permanently disabled?
Even though it was only autumn, Bobby could feel a chill in the air.
This lunatic was determined to turn Pelens upside down during the holidays.
And from what Peyton had said, the Gray family intended to use this incident to flaunt their power.
Wouldn’t that mean every prominent family would get involved?
“If the Gray family extends an invitation, we have to go.”
“Felix Langford is severely injured. The Sheppard family must pay their respects.”
“But I can’t figure out who has the audacity to cripple the Langford family’s young master like that.”
Bobby narrowed his eyes, his expression growing cold.
Truthfully, he didn’t care much for Felix Langford. That brat was a troublemaker and a menace in Pelens. His death wouldn’t be a great loss.
But the man who injured him-challenging the entire Pelens elite-was far too arrogant.
Peyton shook his head, equally puzzled. “I don’t know much about him. All I know is that he’s from Niarak and his name is Flynn.”
