“What do you mean?” Judge was stunned.
“The first time someone walks Heaven’s Ladder, if they can persist to the end, it greatly enhances their body’s resistance to damage!” Sanaa explained from the side.
“Additionally, for those with special constitutions like yours, if you complete Heaven’s Ladder, your cultivation level should increase by one tier.”
“Is there really such a benefit?” Judge’s eyes lit up.
Billy and the others were also taken aback, clearly hearing this for the first time.
“Miss Sanaa, those people earlier should have sent a message to the Heaven Alliance in the ninth-tier star domain, right?” Soul Chaser asked as they walked. “Will the Heaven Alliance be waiting for us at the exit?”
“Are you scared?” Sanaa retorted.
“Not really, but didn’t you say we should keep a low profile?” Soul Chaser continued.
“You believed me when I said that?” Sanaa pointed at Billy. “With someone as famous as Billy with us, do you think we can keep a low profile?”
“Alright then!” Soul Chaser shrugged.
“Don’t worry, unless something unexpected happens, the Heaven Alliance won’t be waiting for us at the exit,” Sanaa added after a pause.
“Because the transmission channel above has only one entrance but random exits.”
“We don’t even know where we’ll be sent, so it’s impossible for the Heaven Alliance to know.”
“I see!” Everyone was surprised.
“We won’t be sent directly to a parallel universe, will we?” White Tiger asked.
“No,” Sanaa shook her head.
“The transmission channel connects the eighth-tier star domain and the ninth-tier star domain. It won’t jump out of this universe. To go to other universes, you’d need a wormhole or some special black holes.”
After speaking, she led everyone upward again.
The pressure on Heaven’s Ladder was even more intense than they had imagined, growing stronger as they ascended.
Most importantly, Heaven’s Ladder soared into the clouds, with no end in sight. Just within their line of sight, there were an estimated ten thousand steps, truly deserving of the name ‘Heaven’s Ladder’!
One could only wonder what kind of master created it!
Just when everyone felt they were reaching their limit, they finally saw hope. There were only about a thousand steps left to the end of Heaven’s Ladder.
At this point, everyone’s bodies felt like they were being torn apart.
Especially Judge and Soul Chaser, whose capillaries had burst, leaving fine cracks on many parts of their bodies.
As Sanaa had mentioned earlier, everyone could clearly feel a force surging through their meridians, a sign of impending breakthrough in cultivation.
An hour later, they finally reached the top!
Before them was a vast platform with a three-foot-high stone pillar in the center. The pillar had a circular groove in the middle.
Apart from that, the platform was empty.
“Miss Fairy, is that where we place the Skyward Talisman?” Night Orchid pointed to the top of the pillar.
“Yes,” Fairy nodded in response.
After a brief pause, she looked at everyone. “Everyone meditate here and break through your cultivation levels!”
“Alright!” They all responded simultaneously. They indeed needed to meditate quickly; otherwise, they might not survive to reach the ninth-tier star domain.
Then, everyone found a spot on the platform and sat down cross-legged while Fairy and Sanaa stood guard.
As Sanaa had said, after enduring the pressure on Heaven’s Ladder, everyone’s cultivation levels increased by one tier without exception.
A few hours later, they were all revitalized.
“Is everyone ready? Let’s go!”
Sanaa then led them to the stone pillar and took out the Skyward Talisman from her storage ring, placing it in the groove.
In a few moments, a massive vortex appeared in the sky above them. The entire sky darkened as strong winds howled and lightning flashed.
Soon, the space within tens of thousands of feet around the vortex became extremely distorted and began to crack open.
Lightning flashed and thunder roared in the sky, as if trying to tear it apart.
“This is quite a commotion!” Stout couldn’t help but speak. “Miss Fairy, are you sure this is the transmission channel to take us to the ninth-tier star domain?”
“Not sure,” Fairy shrugged in response.
“Not sure?” Stout’s mouth twitched. “Are you serious?”
Before Stout could finish his sentence, a beam of light extended from the center of the vortex, surrounded by lightning.
The beam enveloped the entire platform.
The next moment, Billy and his companions felt a terrifying suction pulling them towards the center of the vortex. They were then plunged into darkness.
“Miss Sanaa, could there be spatial turbulence in here? Will it tear us apart?” Stout asked again.
“Guess,” Sanaa replied curtly.
It turned out Stout’s worries were unnecessary. Although there was spatial turbulence in the transmission channel, it posed no threat to them.
They didn’t know how long they had been inside when suddenly they were pushed out of the transmission channel by a strong force.
Before them was an endless expanse of primitive mountains stretching for tens of thousands of miles. The roars of wild beasts echoed from within the forest.
As they had guessed, the spiritual energy here was much denser than in the eighth-tier star domain.
“Miss Fairy, are we in the ninth-tier star domain now?” Stout asked Sanaa.
“What do you think?” Fairy replied while scanning their surroundings and releasing her powerful spiritual energy.
“Miss Fairy, do you know much about the ninth-tier star domain?” Stout continued. “How big is it exactly?”
“No one can answer that,” Fairy replied exasperatedly. “No one has ever traversed the entire ninth-tier star domain, nor could anyone.”
“Alright then,” Stout smacked his lips. “Miss Fairy, do you know what powerful factions exist in the ninth-tier star domain?”
“With your current strength, more than half of the factions here would be considered powerful. Do you want me to list them all for you?” Fairy retorted.
Stout’s mouth twitched slightly. That stung his pride a bit!
“Miss Fairy, do you know if there’s any major intelligence agency in the ninth-tier star domain?” Opal asked.
They had come to the ninth-tier star domain to find the old master and the head of the Stuart family. The quickest way was to gather information.
“The largest intelligence agency is Heaven Alliance. They have branches in almost every major city…” Fairy replied but stopped midway because a strong presence was approaching them.
The next moment, a massive bird appeared in their sight. It looked fierce and had a wingspan of over a hundred meters.
Judging by its aura, its combat power was comparable to that of a ninth-rank Controlled Kun Realm!
The bird quickly swooped down towards them, spewing a powerful gust of air from its mouth…
