“You, you are crazy, what are you doing!?” Seraphina’s voice trembled.
Leo chuckled and said matter-of-factly, “Isn’t it obvious? Your first kiss should have been mine, now I want your second kiss.”
“You… shameless!” Seraphina’s eyes widened, her face flushed with anger and embarrassment.
Leo moved closer.
“Don’t you dare! No… don’t…” Seraphina closed her eyes tightly, her voice shaking.
Her trembling voice only excited Leo more. He suddenly remembered an old saying that when a woman says “no,” she often means “yes.”
But Leo stopped and said with a mischievous smile, “I won’t kiss you if you promise not to greet me with your sword in the future.”
Seraphina could clearly feel Leo’s breath on her face as he spoke.
“I…” Seraphina kept her eyes closed, filled with shame and anger, unwilling to agree to Leo’s demand.
This scoundrel had taken advantage of her before, and now he was doing it again. How could she give in?
If he loosened his grip even a little, she would not be so restrained.
“What do you mean ‘I’? Your mouth says no, but your body is honest. It seems you still want me to kiss you.” Leo moved closer again.
Their lips were now just an inch apart.
“No!” Seraphina exclaimed, turning her head slightly. “I won’t do it again.”
“What did you say? Too soft, I can’t hear you,” Leo said deliberately.
Seraphina gritted her teeth and forced out the words, “I won’t use my sword against you anymore.”
Seraphina’s words had a hidden meaning; she wouldn’t use her sword, but she could still use her hands.
Being controlled by Leo like this made Seraphina feel very aggrieved. She had never been bullied like this before.
She vowed to herself to train harder so she could teach this scoundrel a lesson in the future.
However, to Seraphina’s surprise, the thin veil on her face suddenly slipped off.
Then, a warm pair of lips pressed firmly against her tender red lips…
Seraphina’s body trembled as if struck by lightning.
Leo did not linger and quickly pulled away.
“You… scoundrel! I agreed to your condition, why did you still…!” Seraphina was so angry she could barely speak.
“You seemed reluctant earlier. Who knows if you meant it? If you dare use your sword against me again, I’ll kiss you every time!” Leo’s eyes were full of satisfaction and pride.
He had to admit, the taste of her lips was exquisite. If he hadn’t had strong self-control, he might have gone for a French kiss.
“You…!!!” Seraphina was furious and wanted to tear Leo apart, but she couldn’t move.
At that moment, Chloe appeared at the edge of the Moon Viewing Platform, worried they might be fighting.
“Seraphina, the Runecarver Sect’s…” Chloe’s words trailed off as she froze in shock.
Seraphina was in Leo’s arms. What was going on!?
Chloe’s face showed disbelief. In her impression, Seraphina had no interest in men, let alone being in a man’s arms.
Moreover, the veil on Seraphina’s face was gone, revealing her stunning beauty that surpassed even celestial beings.
Finally, Seraphina and Leo were gazing into each other’s eyes as if lost in each other.
Chloe rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn’t seeing things.
Chloe’s appearance startled both Seraphina and Leo.
Seraphina quickly regained her composure and said in her unique clear voice, “Mr. Bloomer, your skills are impressive. I am truly impressed. You can let go of me now.”
Leo found it amusing but released her nonetheless; otherwise, she might go mad.
Hearing Seraphina’s words, Chloe breathed a sigh of relief and thought, “So they were sparring… but their posture was too…”
Seraphina glared at Leo, grabbed a new white veil from her hand, and covered her beautiful face again.
She then turned to Chloe and asked, “Chloe, what’s the matter?”
“Seraphina, the Runecarver Sect’s young master Gilberto Benson is here,” Chloe said after glancing at Leo and then looking at Seraphina.
Leo flashed to Seraphina’s side upon hearing “Runecarver Sect.”
The name Runecarver Sect was not unfamiliar to Leo. In fact, most cultivators in the Martial Dynasty and nearby kingdoms knew it well.
Runecarver Sect, Diamond Fortress, and Myriad Shades Sect were the three most powerful spiritual cultivation sects in the Martial Dynasty. Even the royal family had to show them respect.
The decline of the Martial Dynasty’s royal family was partly due to these sects’ suppression.
Falling Blossom Palace and Bloodsoul Sect near Zratol were not as powerful as Runecarver Sect.
“Why is he here?” Seraphina frowned and asked.
Chloe shared what she knew: “Seraphina, a few hours ago, an island previously hidden by spatial power appeared in the vast Star Moon Lake.”
“The island is the abode of a Spirit God realm expert who was also a master alchemist. The island is planted with many precious Spirit Herbs, and his abode likely contains various elixirs.”
“Gilberto probably wants to invite you to explore the island.”
“A Spirit God realm expert’s abode?” Seraphina’s eyes showed a hint of surprise.
A Spirit God realm expert who was also an alchemist was among the top existences in the Martial Dynasty.
Chloe’s words stirred Leo’s interest. A Spirit God realm expert’s abode would surely contain many treasures.
“Seraphina, these are just initial reports. The details need further investigation,” Chloe said cautiously. “Seraphina, the two palace masters and the Runecarver Sect people are waiting for you in Falling Blossom Hall.”
“I understand. You may go,” Seraphina nodded slightly.
