Elder Bloodmoon waved her sleeve, and a massive blood-red wave surged towards Leo.
Leo gripped his sword with both hands and slashed at the incoming wave.
The wave split in two, and Leo’s figure flashed through, heading straight for Elder Bloodmoon.
Feeling the overwhelming sword intent emanating from Leo, Elder Bloodmoon’s face stiffened.
In that brief moment of hesitation, Leo’s Dragon Sword was already slashing down towards her.
If this strike landed, Elder Bloodmoon would be split in half, just like Fierce Fire.
“Trying to kill me? Impossible!” Elder Bloodmoon shouted fiercely, a crescent blade appearing in her hand.
She swung the blade, deflecting the sharp sword light. Leo’s expression remained cold as he continued his relentless assault, swinging his sword repeatedly at Elder Bloodmoon.
Forced to defend with all her might, Elder Bloodmoon raised her crescent blade to block each strike.
Meanwhile, Puppet General also charged at her.
Outnumbered two to one, Elder Bloodmoon quickly found herself at a disadvantage. It was only a matter of time before she would be defeated.
Realizing her dire situation, Elder Bloodmoon decided to retreat.
Her eyes flashed coldly as two blood-red streaks shot out from her sleeves, targeting Leo and Puppet General.
Leo’s senses told him that these were two red spindles, high-grade spiritual weapons capable of piercing Puppet General’s armor.
Leo commanded Puppet General to dodge while he prepared a small black shield to block the attack.
Elder Bloodmoon’s eyes gleamed with malice as she shouted, “Explode!”
The spindles exploded with a powerful burst of blood-red energy, spreading rapidly.
Leo and Puppet General retreated hastily, but the energy wave was faster, hitting them both.
Leo felt as if his chest had been struck by lightning, forcing him back a hundred meters before he could stop. Puppet General was pushed even farther back.
Leo’s expression turned icy as he looked at Elder Bloodmoon.
Her face was pale and sickly, a side effect of using such a self-destructive technique. “Boy, this ends here tonight. You’ve offended the Bloodsoul Sect and are doomed. I will personally ask the Grand Elder to kill you. If you go to the Bloodsoul Sect and beg for forgiveness, you might still save your life!”
With a final fierce glance at Leo, Elder Bloodmoon turned into a blood-red streak and fled.
Seeing her attempt to escape, Leo’s face grew colder. He wouldn’t let her get away.
In a flash, he stepped onto his Dragon Sword, which shone with an icy white light, and chased after her.
Puppet General followed closely behind. “The mighty Elder Bloodmoon of the Bloodsoul Sect is running away?”
“What an incredible turn of events!”
“Who would have thought it would end like this?”
“Elder Bloodmoon is a peak lower-tier Spirit Saint Cultivator, yet she fled after just a few rounds.”
“She’s even worse than the Water and Fire Dual Heroes, so cowardly…”
As they witnessed Elder Bloodmoon’s retreat, mocking voices filled the air. Under the night sky, three streaks of light-one red, one white, and one silver-raced across the mountains. The distance between the red and white streaks gradually closed.
Feeling Leo getting closer, Elder Bloodmoon grew increasingly frustrated.
Since becoming an elder of the Bloodsoul Sect, she had never been chased so miserably, especially by someone so young! If word got out, it would be utterly humiliating.
When the distance closed to one kilometer, Leo formed a spell with his hands.
A massive crescent-shaped wind blade appeared in front of him.
With a push of his hands, the wind blade shot towards Elder Bloodmoon’s back at terrifying speed.
Sensing the danger behind her, Elder Bloodmoon changed direction to avoid the attack. Leo waved his right hand, and the wind blade curved like a shadow, relentlessly pursuing her.
Elder Bloodmoon’s face turned cold as she was forced to deal with the wind blade.
With a swing of her sleeve, she gathered blood-red spiritual energy into a large blade and struck the wind blade.
The wind blade shattered with a loud bang. This was exactly what Leo wanted-time for an attack. As the wind blade broke apart, Leo appeared in front of Elder Bloodmoon.
Holding his Dragon Sword, he slashed down mercilessly. “Old witch, die!” Elder Bloodmoon’s face changed drastically as she retreated and reached into her Spirit Pouch at her waist. She pulled out an object resembling a red lantern and threw it at Leo.
Seeing the object flying towards him, Leo’s eyes narrowed as he tried to retract his sword but it was too late.
The Dragon Sword sliced the object in half with a loud crack. A swarm of blood-red wasps emerged from within-it was a wasp nest.
Thousands of blood-red wasps swarmed towards Leo and Puppet General at incredible speed.
Sensing that these were not ordinary wasps and best not attacked directly, Leo realized he had already angered them by destroying their nest.
As the wasps neared him, they flicked their tails simultaneously, launching nearly invisible stingers at Leo. His face turned cold as he punched forward, unleashing extreme cold from within. The stingers froze instantly and fell to the ground along with the wasps that turned into tiny ice sculptures.
Puppet General ignored the stingers entirely; they were ineffective against a lifeless puppet. As countless stingers struck Puppet General’s body, it flashed forward and slashed at Elder Bloodmoon with its long sword.
