Arthur sighed and gestured with his hand, “Leo, let’s go inside.”
“Mr. Watts,” the guard at the gate bowed and then opened the door for them.
As they entered the mansion, everything inside was far superior to Lucas Collins’ Lord’s Manor. Even the various plants inside were different species of spirit flowers and spirit grass, though they were the lowest grade.
Walking further in, the fragrance from the spirit flowers and spirit grass was refreshing. Arthur led Leo towards the left side of the Watts Mansion.
Soon, a man-made lake came into view. The water was crystal clear, with fish swimming and occasionally blowing bubbles. By the lake, there was a little girl about eleven or twelve years old.
The girl had bare, snow-white feet, playing with the fish in the lake. She had big, clear eyes that were exceptionally lively. Her delicate face and porcelain-like skin made her a budding beauty.
“Giggle, Arthur, you’re back,” the girl laughed as she saw Arthur. She quickly put on her shoes and ran over.
“Arthur, did you bring me anything fun this time?” She grabbed Arthur’s sleeve with her small white hands and shook it.
Arthur smiled gently and affectionately, “Lyric, I brought you a handsome brother.”
The girl named Lyric then looked at Leo with her beautiful big eyes, blinking adorably.
“This big brother is indeed very handsome,” Lyric said playfully.
Arthur introduced, “His name is Leo. You can call him Leo.”
“Leo, this is my third uncle’s daughter, Lyric.”
“Hello, Leo,” Lyric greeted sweetly.
Hearing her say “Leo” reminded Leo of the equally playful and cute Violet. He smiled and nodded at Lyric.
“Giggle, Leo, you’re much better looking than Arthur,” Lyric laughed.
Hearing this, Arthur rolled his eyes and pretended to be angry, “You little rascal, I just got back and you’re already mocking me. I’m a handsome guy too!”
Lyric stuck out her tongue playfully.
“Lyric, do you not want your gift?” Arthur said with a mischievous smile.
Lyric’s eyes lit up, and she quickly said sweetly, “Arthur, you’re the most handsome. You and Leo are both handsome guys!”
“That’s more like it,” Arthur said with a satisfied smile. He then flipped his right hand, revealing a beautiful butterfly kite. “This is for you.”
Lyric quickly took the kite from Arthur’s hand and exclaimed happily, “Thank you, Arthur!”
She then infused a bit of spiritual power into the butterfly kite and let go. The kite’s wings began to flap and soon it flew up into the sky beautifully.
“Giggle… Arthur, Leo, look, it’s flying,” Lyric pointed at the butterfly kite in the sky with joy.
After playing for a while and retrieving the kite, Leo smiled and said, “Little girl, since it’s our first meeting, I’ll give you a gift too.”
With that, Leo flipped his right hand, revealing a jade hairpin. The hairpin was translucent and beautiful, with some intricate runes carved on top.
“What a beautiful hairpin,” Lyric’s eyes sparkled as she looked at it.
Sensing the invisible fluctuations from the hairpin in Leo’s hand, Arthur’s pupils slightly contracted. He quickly said, “Leo, this is too much.”
“It’s fine. Let her have it; it can also protect her,” Leo smiled.
The hairpin was something Leo had taken from Dorian’s storage sack. It was a high-grade spiritual weapon with automatic defense functions.
“Arthur…” Lyric looked at Arthur for his opinion.
Arthur couldn’t resist Lyric’s pleading eyes and said, “Take it.”
“Giggle, thank you, Leo,” Lyric said happily as she took the hairpin and examined it before placing it in her black hair.
With the hairpin enhancing her look, Lyric’s cute face appeared even more beautiful.
“Arthur, Leo, does it look good?” Lyric asked playfully.
Both Leo and Arthur nodded simultaneously.
At that moment, Leo noticed something from the corner of his eye and turned to look. Not far ahead was a slender figure dressed in white walking towards them.
The approaching person had an elegant figure like Elliana Turner’s. Her delicate face was flawless, and her black hair cascaded down to her slim waist like a waterfall. Her eyes were beautiful with a cold charm like an ice lotus that could only be admired from afar.
As she approached and saw Leo staring at her in a daze, her pretty brows furrowed slightly.
Seeing Leo entranced, Arthur quickly used a secret technique to communicate telepathically, “Leo, she’s the eldest daughter of the Watts family-my uncle’s daughter-one of Zratol’s three beauties. Isn’t she stunning?”
Arthur estimated that probably eighty to ninety percent of men in Zratol knew Amber Watts’ name.
However, Arthur misunderstood. Leo wasn’t captivated by Amber’s beauty but rather found her expression reminiscent of Sophia’s.
Amber merely glanced at Leo before turning to Arthur and asking, “Arthur, how did things go in Clearwind Town? I heard from Elder Steve that Isla Morgan from Everlasting Trade Association has taken a liking to you. Do you like her?”
Amber’s voice was pleasant like a gentle breeze.
Her words made Arthur’s previously happy face fall instantly into despair.
Arthur smiled bitterly and said, “Amber, that Isla Morgan is not like a woman at all; she’s more like a man among women-tall and burly. Do you think I could like her?”
Amber was surprised by this. Seeing Arthur’s bitter expression, she could imagine their meeting scene vividly.
Amber wanted to laugh but controlled herself and said seriously, “Arthur, a woman’s virtue is more important than appearance. You shouldn’t focus too much on looks.”
Arthur’s face grew even more bitter. “Amber, she’s probably miles away from being virtuous. Do you know she tried to force me into bed on our first meeting? I almost lost my dignity…”
Hearing this left Amber speechless.
Beside them, Lyric stuck out her tongue playfully with an embarrassed expression.
