Chris nodded and said, “Yes! Now that everything has been resolved, it’s time for me to go back.”
The matters in Star Continent had been settled, and there was no reason for Chris to stay any longer. Besides, he had promised Esther that he would accompany her on a visit to the Jefferson family.
Aiden Enyart sighed lightly and said, “Mr. Shelby, once you leave this time, who knows when we’ll meet again?”
Chris smiled and replied, “Aiden, if you have the chance, you can visit me on the East Coast.”
Aiden looked at Chris with a complex expression.
This was the second time Chris had saved him.
If not for Chris, Aiden would have already been dead this time.
With a serious expression, Aiden said, “Mr. Shelby, you saved my life. If you ever need me or the Wizards for anything, just say the word. I’ll go through fire and water for you.”
Chris smiled and said, “Aiden, the Wizards took a heavy blow this time. What you need to focus on now is recovery.”
Aiden nodded. “I understand, Mr. Shelby!”

The next day, Chris and Tiger, along with others, arrived at the Star Continent airport.
To see Chris off, Aiden arranged for a convoy of over a hundred luxury cars.
By the time Chris returned to the East Coast, it was already evening.
This trip had taken him away from the East Coast for about half a month.
Now, the East Coast felt like home to Chris because his wife and child were here.
After stepping out of the airport, Tiger and the others left first.
Chris hailed a cab and headed straight to Cloud Bay.
When he arrived at the villa, he saw his father-in-law, John Jefferson, sitting alone in the yard, reading a book.
John looked up and smiled as soon as he saw Chris. “Chris, you’re back!”
Chris walked over, smiling. “Dad, I heard you recently went on a world tour. How was it? Did you enjoy it?”
John, having handed over the affairs of the Chester Group to Esther, had spent his time traveling the world with Susan.
John chuckled. “Not bad! Your mom’s having so much fun she doesn’t even want to come back.”
Hearing this, Chris smiled faintly.
To Chris, as long as Susan wasn’t around to bother him, it was a relief. Whatever else she wanted to do was none of his concern.
Previously, Susan had developed a gambling problem, but after being harshly disciplined by Chris, she didn’t dare gamble again.
Now, Susan was somewhat afraid of Chris. For the time being, she was traveling abroad and living a carefree life.
Chris walked into the villa and found Esther and Juliette sitting on the couch, watching TV.
“Darling!”
Esther’s face lit up with surprise when she saw Chris.
Chris, rubbing his stomach, said, “Honey, I’m a bit hungry. Can you make me something to eat?”
After sitting on a plane for several hours, he hadn’t had a chance to eat.
“Of course, I’ll cook for you,” Esther replied, standing up and heading into the kitchen.
Recently, she had been learning to cook from the housekeeper, and her culinary skills had improved.
Although she wasn’t on par with professional chefs, she could manage simple dishes far better than her first attempts.

After dinner, Chris and Esther headed to their room.
As soon as they entered, Chris quickly locked the door behind them.
Curious, Esther asked, “Darling, why are you locking the door?”
Chris walked over and wrapped his arms around her. “I’ve been holding back for so long.”
Hearing this, Esther’s face turned bright red as she playfully scolded him. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
Chris smirked mischievously and pulled out a gift box. “I bought you a present from Star Continent. Open it and take a look.”
Esther took the box and opened it. Inside was a pair of jade-green bracelets.
Her eyes lit up with surprise. “Did you buy these for me?”
Although the bracelets were worth only a few hundred thousand dollars-not overly expensive-they were clearly chosen with care.
Chris smiled. “Yes, do you like them?”
Esther was deeply moved.
She hadn’t expected Chris to think of bringing her a gift from Star Continent.
“Darling!” Esther exclaimed, throwing herself into his arms.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.
“Chris, Esther, are you two still awake?”
Hearing Juliette’s voice, Chris couldn’t help but feel exasperated.
Does Juliette have some kind of grudge against me? Why does she always interrupt at the worst moments?
Esther bit her lip and replied, “Juliette, do you need something? We’re already in bed. Can it wait until tomorrow?”
Juliette responded, “Esther, I can’t sleep tonight. Can you come and talk with me?”
“I…”
Esther looked conflicted.
She hesitated before saying, “Juliette, you should head back to your room. We’ll talk tomorrow. You have work in the morning.”
Unwilling to give up, Juliette said, “Esther, can I sleep with you tonight?”
At this point, Chris was completely speechless.
He was sure Juliette was doing this on purpose.
Esther looked at Chris helplessly. “Darling, what should we do? Maybe you should step out, and I’ll let Juliette in.”
Chris frowned. “How am I supposed to go out like this?”
Because of the heat earlier, Chris had taken off his shirt. Now he was only wearing a pair of shorts.
Esther pointed to the window. “Darling, you can go out that way.”
Hearing this, Chris was thoroughly annoyed.
This was his own room, yet he was being asked to climb out the window? How was this fair?
Esther pouted. “You wouldn’t want Juliette to see something awkward, would you? And climbing out the window is no problem for you.”
“Fine,” Chris muttered, sighing in defeat.
Dressed in nothing but his shorts, Chris climbed out the window.
A cold breeze hit him, and he shivered.
Meanwhile, Esther quickly got dressed and opened the door.
Juliette walked in, glancing around. “Is Chris not here?”
Esther stammered, “He… he went out!”
“Out?”
Juliette glanced at the open window, a sly smile playing on her lips.
She teased, “Esther, were you and Chris up to something naughty?”
Blushing furiously, Esther protested, “Juliette, what nonsense are you talking about? What could we possibly be doing?”
