“Damn!”
Hearing this, Chris couldn’t help but curse.
The Jefferson family was truly something extraordinary.
The East Coast Jefferson family, the Provincial Jefferson family, the Middleton Jefferson family, and even the Overseas Jefferson family were all just branches of the same tree.
How vast was this Jefferson family, really?
Esther continued, “This Jefferson family could be called the number one family in Amerosia!”
Chris asked, “So, are you going to visit them during Easter?”
“Sigh…” Esther let out a soft sigh. “I don’t know. All these years, our East Coast Jefferson family has had no real connection with the main Jefferson family. It’s only because our branch has gained fame in Amerosia that they’ve even reached out to us.”
In the past, the East Coast Jefferson family was too insignificant to catch their attention.
But ever since Chester Group became the largest corporation in Amerosia, with Esther as the group’s CEO and the eldest daughter of the East Coast Jefferson family, they had started paying attention.
Looking directly at Chris, Esther said, “Darling, will you go with me? The Jefferson family is so powerful that if I don’t go, it might not be good for our East Coast branch.”
Chris smiled and said, “You’re my wife. Of course, I’ll go with you. Besides, I’m curious to see just how enormous this Jefferson family is, given that so many of its branches are merely offshoots.”
Esther nodded. “There’s still a month until Easter. I plan to return to the East Coast in a few days and discuss it with my dad to hear his thoughts.”
After all, this was something John, the head of the East Coast Jefferson family, had to weigh in on.
Chris chuckled. “If you’re heading back to the East Coast, I’ll go with you.”
Esther hesitated and asked, “Darling, if you go back, what about Candace?”
“Hahaha!”
Chris burst into laughter. “Are you jealous? Don’t worry, there’s nothing between me and Candace.”
Hearing Chris’s words, Esther finally felt at ease.
Before returning to the East Coast, Chris decided to visit Caspian.
The last time at Emberwood Estate, it was thanks to Caspian that everything had worked out.
Now that Chris was leaving, he wanted to inform Caspian in person.
When Chris arrived at the Vance family estate, he found Caspian chatting with another man in the courtyard.
Seeing Chris, Caspian smiled and said, “Chris, what brings you here?”
Chris grinned. “Mr. Vance, I came here specifically to see you and to let you know that I’m planning to head back to the East Coast.”
“You’re leaving?”
Hearing this, Caspian visibly relaxed.
Chris was like a magnet for trouble, causing chaos wherever he went. During his time in Middleton, he had already stirred up countless disputes.
If he stayed any longer, who knew what further trouble he might create?
Caspian was more than happy to see Chris leave-it meant fewer headaches for him.
With a smile, Caspian said, “Going back is a good idea. Middleton isn’t a place for you to settle down anyway.”
Chris, fully aware of Caspian’s meaning, rolled his eyes.
“Jack Butler, long time no see.”
At that moment, Chris noticed the man standing beside Caspian-Jack Butler.
Seeing the combat uniform Jack Butler was wearing, Chris was a little surprised.
The last time he’d seen Jack Butler, he was a three-star warrior.
Now, just a short while later, Jack Butler had already become a three-star lieutenant general.
For someone as young as Jack Butler, achieving the rank of three-star lieutenant general was exceptional. His future in the Amerosia military was undoubtedly bright.
Jack Butler looked at Chris with a complicated expression.
The last time Jack Butler had returned, Chris had been knocked off a cliff by Judge.
In an effort to find him, Jack Butler had even led Team Wolf on a search, though they failed to locate Chris. In the end, Chris had been saved by someone else.
With a serious expression, Jack Butler said, “Chris, I’ve always seen you as my ultimate challenge. Today, I want to test myself against you.”
Chris was the Amerosia Primus, a figure who overshadowed all other warriors in the Amerosia military.
As long as Chris remained in that role, Jack Butler would never have the chance to claim the title for himself.
And Jack Butler’s greatest dream was to become the Amerosia Primus.
To achieve that, he had to defeat Chris.
When Jack Butler issued his challenge, Caspian, standing nearby, did not intervene.
Amerosia needed a steady stream of rising talent to maintain its strength as a nation.
Jack Butler challenging Chris was not a bad thing-in fact, it was beneficial. It would push Jack Butler to grow even more.
One day, when Chris stepped down as Primus, Jack Butler could take his place.
This way, the position of Amerosia Primus would always have a worthy successor.
Chris responded calmly, “You want to challenge me? I have no objections. Just don’t disappoint me too much.”
Chris didn’t take Jack Butler’s challenge seriously.
He wasn’t afraid of the challenge and even hoped that more outstanding warriors like Jack Butler would emerge in the Amerosia military.
“Hahaha!”
Caspian laughed. “If you two are going to fight, just don’t destroy my house in the process.”
Without wasting any words, Jack Butler launched an attack on Chris.
His strikes were fierce and incredibly fast.
Chris, however, stood his ground with no change in expression.
When Jack Butler got close, Chris threw a single punch.
Boom!
With a deafening sound, Jack Butler was sent flying backward.
He skidded back over ten meters before finally catching his balance.
Jack Butler looked at Chris with shock in his eyes.
He had never imagined that he couldn’t even withstand a single punch from Chris.
Chris truly lived up to his reputation as the Amerosia Primus. The gap between them was still immense.
Taking a deep breath, Jack Butler said, “Chris, I’ve lost! But I believe that one day, I’ll defeat you.”
Hearing this, Chris simply smiled without saying a word.
For Jack Butler to aim to surpass him was a good thing. Whether he could achieve it, however, was another matter entirely.
After his defeat, Jack Butler turned to Caspian and said, “Mr. Vance, I have some matters to attend to. I’ll visit you again when I have time.”
Caspian nodded. “Alright.”
Jack Butler then climbed into a dark green Hummer and drove away.
After he left, Caspian turned to Chris and said, “Chris, Jack Butler has great potential. If he continues to grow, he might one day take your place.”
Chris rolled his eyes. “Mr. Vance, I’m only in my thirties. Isn’t it a bit early to be talking about a successor?”
