Chapter 1516: The Battle Against Super Soldiers

Book:The Primus Of The Country Published:2025-2-5

“This time, you’ve walked right into your grave. Here will be your burial place. Once I kill you, I’ll use your body to create a powerful Super Soldier. When that time comes, who in all of Amerosia will be able to stop the Prince’s rise?”
Chris stared at Stephen Rivers, his expression darkening.
Originally, Chris had come here to kill Judge. What he hadn’t expected was to encounter Stephen Rivers in this very place. Judge was already dead, and now, the next target was Stephen Rivers.
Chris smirked coldly. “Healing Hand, you think you alone can handle me? How laughable!”
Stephen Rivers chuckled lightly. “Chris, I know your strength. But have you considered this? This is the Hall of Valerian’s headquarters. Do you think the Prince would go through so much effort to build this place without proper defenses?”
Hearing this, an ominous feeling crept into Chris’s heart.
Clank!
Clank!
Clank!
Before Chris could react, every passage around him sealed shut.
Seeing this, Chris’s face darkened. Gritting his teeth, he glared at Stephen Rivers. “Stephen Rivers, are you trying to trap me here?”
Stephen Rivers smiled faintly. “Chris, don’t be so hasty. You’ll understand soon enough.”
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
At that moment, one of the passage doors suddenly opened.
From the shadows, a dozen or so creatures emerged, neither fully human nor fully beast.
These beings had human faces but the bodies of savage animals.
“What the hell!”
Chris couldn’t stop himself from cursing at the sight.
He instantly realized that these monstrosities were the result of Daniel Williams’ secret research-his so-called Super Soldiers.
Like wild animals, the Super Soldiers crawled on all fours, their blood-red eyes gleaming with a murderous light. They growled like beasts, sending shivers down anyone’s spine.
“Daniel Williams, you’re insane!” Chris shouted angrily. “Creating such creatures-if word of this gets out, you’ll be the enemy of all humanity. When that day comes, everyone will rise up against you!”
Fury burned in Chris’s heart.
Looking at the twisted forms of the Super Soldiers, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of pity.
These were once living, breathing people. Now, they had been turned into something neither human nor beast.
If not for his timely rescue of Seraphina, she might have shared the same fate as these unfortunate souls.
“Roar!”
A sudden growl broke his train of thought.
A female Super Soldier lunged at Chris, her movements unnaturally fast. Her claws were long and razor-sharp, glinting menacingly as they swiped toward his chest.
Chris’s face changed as he dodged, but he wasn’t fast enough.
Her claws raked his chest, shredding his shirt and leaving a deep, bloody gash.
Chris gasped sharply, the pain shooting through him.
Had he been just a moment slower, his heart would have been torn out.
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
More Super Soldiers surrounded Chris, their bloodthirsty gazes locked onto him.
These creatures had lost all traces of humanity, retaining only their primal instincts.
In their eyes, there was only one purpose: to kill.
Chris’s expression grew grim. He couldn’t afford to let his guard down.
Screams echoed through the Hall of Valerian as its members clashed with the Super Soldiers.
The creatures couldn’t differentiate between friend and foe, driven only by their bloodlust.
The Hall of Valerian members fought desperately, but they were no match for the Super Soldiers’ inhuman strength. One by one, they were slaughtered mercilessly.
Tiger and the others, witnessing the carnage, were visibly shaken. They quickly prepared their defenses.
“Blow the passage open and get out of here!” Chris shouted to Tiger. “These things can’t tell ally from enemy. They’re not human-they’re monsters!”
Tiger nodded and swiftly placed several C4 explosives on the sealed door.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
With a series of deafening explosions, the passage door was blown open.
“Boss, let’s go together!” Tiger yelled.
Chris shook his head. “No, you go first. I’m staying here. I have to destroy this place. Otherwise, countless more people will suffer this inhuman torment.”
The sight of the Super Soldiers filled Chris with sorrow.
If this facility wasn’t destroyed, countless others would fall victim to this horrific experimentation.
And if Daniel Williams succeeded in mass-producing these Super Soldiers, all of Amerosia would be plunged into chaos.
As Primus, Chris could not let that happen.
“I’ll be fine. Go!” Chris ordered.
Tiger hesitated but ultimately obeyed, leading the Guards of Death out through the passage.
Meanwhile, the Super Soldiers surrounding Chris snarled like wild animals, drool dripping from their mouths. They were no different from beasts now.
Chris looked up at Stephen Rivers, who stood watching him with a mocking smile.
“Chris, I know how strong you are,” Stephen said. “These Super Soldiers were meticulously developed for the Prince. Today, we’ll see who is stronger-you or my creations.”
“Healing Hand, you and Daniel Williams are nothing but accomplices to evil, using live humans for your experiments. Creating these abominations… Today, I’m putting an end to you. Your schemes will fail.”
Chris gripped the Dragon Slayer tightly, his gaze sharp.
“Is that so?” Stephen replied with a smirk, swirling a glass of red wine in his hand, utterly unfazed.
Chris glanced at the Super Soldiers, his voice cold and resolute. “Living in this world is already unbearable for you. Let me grant you release. May you be reborn into a better life in your next.”
These creatures should never have existed. Allowing them to live would only bring more harm to the world.
The best solution was to eliminate them all.
“Roar!”
“Roar!”
“Roar!”
With a chorus of savage growls, the Super Soldiers charged at Chris.
Without hesitation, Chris raised the Dragon Slayer and struck.
Squelch!
His blade was swift, severing the arm of one of the creatures in a single blow.
But then, something bizarre happened.
