Chapter 1170

Book:Surprised With Her Real Identities Published:2025-2-5

She never expected that her tragic half-life was due to her twin sister.
She could have been healthy and happy, but for Fatima, she was dragged into a frail body, living in dark corners like moss, while her sister Fatima was lively and energetic.
Her tears fell like broken pearls, “Don’t you think you’re being too cruel to me?”
Adeline’s heart was filled with sorrow and grievance, “How could you do this to me? When I was born, I knew nothing, understood nothing. Did you ever ask for my opinion? How could you make such a cruel decision to take away my life?”
Brittany walked towards her in grief, wanting to hug her, but Adeline pushed her away, “Don’t come near me.”
Seeing her daughter’s resistance, Brittany felt extremely sad and heartbroken.
“Adeline, I had no choice at that time. Think about it, Fatima and you are both my flesh and blood. How could I watch her die? Could you watch Fatima die? Could you do it?”
“But why did it have to be at the cost of my health? Couldn’t there have been another way?” Adeline still couldn’t accept this cruel fact.
Not only could Adeline not accept it, but Fatima was also very shocked. She kept examining her body, realizing that everything she had today was because she stole Adeline’s health.
“How could this be?”
She shook her head in disbelief, “How could this be? Adeline, I knew nothing about it. If my health came at the cost of yours, I would rather not have it.”
She grabbed Adeline’s hand, “Adeline, believe me… we are the closest people in the world. I didn’t lie to you.”
“It’s useless, it’s already useless.” Adeline shook off her hand, “The happiness of the whole family was exchanged by me. No wonder our parents always favored me out of guilt. Now I see it clearly…”
“If you want to blame someone, blame me. It was my lack of skill back then that caused the aftereffects and made you weak and sick.” Reginald painfully apologized to Adeline, “I failed as an elder. Adeline, it’s my fault that you’ve suffered so much all these years.”
Sylvia crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow after watching for a while, “Did you call me here just to watch this melodrama?”
Brittany wiped her tears and looked at Reginald and then at Sylvia with confusion in her eyes, “Reginald, why did you invite Miss Andrews here…”
Reginald sighed, “Miss Andrews, I can see that you might have had contact with Master Newman. So I want to ask if you can help me find Master Newman’s heir. They might be able to help us or help Adeline.”
Sylvia lazily glanced at him with a few traces of indifference.
“Isn’t it just an Exchange Life formation that wasn’t done properly? I happened to study it recently; I’ll give it a try.”
“You… you? Try?” Brittany’s mouth dropped open as she stared at Sylvia, “Miss Andrews, you can’t do this. This isn’t skiing where if you fall it’s your own business. This is about the lives of my two daughters! If you don’t handle it well, both my daughters could…”
She couldn’t bear to think further; it was too terrifying.
She cried bitterly, “I already have one frail daughter; if both were harmed because of this, I would go mad. I wouldn’t be able to live.”
Adeline gave a bitter smile, “I’m already like this; how much worse can it get? At worst, I’ll die. Dying is better than living in such pain. Miss Andrews… I’m willing to let you try.”
“Adeline!” Brittany screamed in despair, “No! Don’t joke with your life. What if…”
“Weren’t you afraid of accidents twenty years ago? And now you’re afraid? Don’t you think your words are ridiculous?” Adeline glanced coldly at Brittany.
Brittany felt a chill in her heart; she had never seen such a look in her daughter’s eyes… so unfamiliar, so indifferent… It felt like being stabbed by steel needles.
She wailed and cried out in pain, “Adeline, you’re resenting me, aren’t you? You’re hating me…”
“Please don’t hate your mother. She had no choice; she has always put you first…”
Adeline sneered, “That’s because you owe me. You feel guilty.”
“Adeline…” Brittany cried bitterly, clutching her aching chest.
“I also want Miss Andrews to try.” Fatima ignored her mother and walked solemnly to Sylvia.
“If Miss Andrews can really help Adeline live a normal life, even if it means sacrificing myself, I don’t mind. After all… I’ve been healthy for twenty years because I stole it from Adeline. I don’t want to be a thief. My happiness is built on Adeline’s pain; I’d rather not have it.”
“Are you two crazy? Both of you want to die. Just because she skis well doesn’t make her a master. If she were a master, I’d be a celestial master!” Brittany was both angry and distressed. “Miss Andrews, please don’t harm my daughters. They’re young and impulsive…”
“If you don’t want me to help, then I won’t.” Sylvia looked at her indifferently, “After all, if my clients don’t trust me, why should I help?”
Reginald panicked; it was clear Sylvia had a connection with Master Newman. If she knew formations…
He quickly stopped Brittany, “Don’t say more. If she can save the children, it’s better than Adeline’s current state.”
“Reginald, even if the children don’t understand, how can you?” Brittany looked at Reginald in shock, “Can she really do it?”
“Just be quiet.” Reginald pushed her aside and said to Sylvia, “Miss Andrews, please proceed. I’ll bear any consequences.”
“Brittany doesn’t trust me; maybe I should just leave.” Sylvia smiled faintly, “I don’t want the Gentry family blaming me if Brittany has a heart attack.”
“No, no.” Reginald was convinced Sylvia could do it and quickly assured her, “I trust you; the children trust you too. Please proceed.”
“Alright then. Since you’ve said so much, I’ll give it a try.” Sylvia began drawing formations in the air.
She seemed to draw a complex pattern resembling an ancient totem.
No one else understood except Reginald who looked shocked and amazed, “This is… Master Newman’s…”
Sylvia didn’t take long; about five minutes later she finished drawing the formation.
Once done, she had the sisters stand in the center of the formation.
“I will continue the formation; just close your eyes.”
She drew a formation on Adeline and then on Fatima.
“This is… Symbiotic Formation.” Reginald couldn’t believe his eyes as he stared at Sylvia, “I never thought I’d see such an advanced formation in my lifetime.”
Brittany wiped her tears and asked Reginald in confusion, “What does Symbiotic Formation mean?”
Reginald explained immediately, “The formation I used before transferred part of Adeline’s life force to Fatima… But Miss Andrews’ formation allows Adeline and Fatima to coexist; they will share each other’s fate.”
“Coexist? Does that mean if Adeline is well, Fatima will be well too? If Fatima gets sick, Adeline will too? They were already twins; now they’ll be even more connected? Is that what it means?” Brittany asked urgently.
Reginald nodded heavily, “Yes, that’s what it means. So Adeline won’t have to worry about being frail anymore because she’ll be like Fatima.”
“Really?” Brittany felt like she was dreaming, “Really? Will it really be like that? If it’s true, that’s wonderful.”
“My poor children… If Adeline can regain her health, I’d die without regret.”
She continued crying and complaining.
Reginald was annoyed, “Shut up and don’t disturb Miss Andrews.”
Sylvia concentrated on the formation.
Though it seemed like she was just drawing formations repeatedly.
In reality, she was exhausting her strength and ability significantly; sweat began to bead on her forehead.
About ten minutes later she finally stopped and sat down on the sofa.
Brittany nervously watched her daughters standing in the center of the formation; they had their eyes closed without any movement.
Her heart almost stopped as she stared at them with trembling voice, “Miss Andrews… will they wake up?”
Tears streamed down her face again, “Please don’t let anything happen!”
“Can you calm down? Stop talking nonsense,” Reginald said irritably. “Nothing will happen.”
Sylvia lazily sipped water and said faintly, “Open your eyes.”
