The girl felt everyone’s eyes on her, and she pressed her lips together as her cheeks flushed red.
“Agnes,” the old lady looked at her seriously and expectantly, asking again, “When do you plan to get married?”
Agnes’s heart raced. She blushed and turned her gaze, then took Tom’s arm and smiled at the old lady. “Grandma, I need to discuss this with him alone. After all, marriage isn’t just my decision. I’ll come downstairs and give you an answer later!”
As soon as she finished speaking, she pulled Tom Fritz upstairs. “Come on, let’s talk.”
Tom didn’t resist and followed her with a smile.
Everyone in the living room watched their backs. Despite the height difference, they looked adorable together, and smiles of contentment appeared on their faces.
They truly seemed more compatible the more they looked at them. Marriage was just a matter of time; their gazes were filled with tenderness and affection.
Upstairs, Agnes led Tom into his bedroom, a place she was quite familiar with by now.
After entering, Agnes closed the door before letting go of him.
She stood in front of him, looking up at him with her brows slightly furrowed. She had organized many words in her mind but didn’t know how to ask them.
For example-
Hey, why did you leave such an important question for me to answer?
Grandma is pressuring us so much, and you haven’t said anything. How should I respond?
Hey, what are your thoughts?
Mr. Kitten, are we… getting married?
But in the end, she said nothing and just stared at him, her eyes filled with countless unspoken words.
She loved him so much. Every word and action of his constantly occupied her thoughts. She never dared to dream of marrying him; he was so outstanding that she didn’t dare to hope. Just receiving a message from him could make her happy for a week.
So at this moment, Agnes’s heart was in turmoil.
“I’m already 35 years old,” Tom said seriously as he met her gaze. “Would you give me a home?”
Agnes’s eyes widened in shock at his opening statement. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“Miss Agnes, how long do you need to consider this?” Tom asked again. “Would you give me a home? I want to hear your true feelings.”
Agnes looked at him as tears blurred her vision. “Can we… really get married?”
She loved him so much that her voice trembled with excitement.
Tom stepped forward and gently hugged her. “Let me take care of you for the rest of my life. Let’s get married. I want to marry you. I love you.”
Agnes was deeply moved. She slowly reached out and grabbed his shirt at his waist before looking up from his embrace. “Mr. Kitten, are you sure you want to marry me? Are you sure… I’m the right choice for you?”
“Yes,” Tom nodded. “I’m serious, as long as you don’t mind me.”
“No, how could I mind?” Agnes blurted out. “I… I just feel… happiness came too suddenly.”
Tom reached out and gently stroked her cheek. The more time he spent with her, the more adorable he found her.
A thought suddenly popped into Agnes’s mind. She blinked her beautiful big eyes. “How about… we have a quick wedding?”
“Sure.” Tom wasn’t surprised by her suggestion at all. He nodded seriously with deep eyes. “Shall we get the marriage certificate tomorrow?”
“Sure, I have all the necessary documents with me.” Agnes didn’t hesitate and then added after thinking for a moment, “This afternoon, I’ll take you to meet my sister and Spencer first.”
