The museum was not large, but its exhibits were comprehensive, featuring artifacts from Egypt, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Agnes had been fascinated by relics since childhood and had even published a successful book about time travel. Tom had visited the museum before and today he accompanied her, acting as her guide. Agnes observed carefully and listened attentively to his explanations. She felt as if she had discovered a new world, gaining inspiration that she could use in her latest comic book to document their moments together.
“Wow, you’re amazing! I didn’t know any of this,” she exclaimed.
“I just learned it a bit earlier than you,” Tom replied humbly. “Now you know too, and you’re equally amazing. Next time, you can bring your friends here.”
Agnes looked at him and noticed his flawless handsome face, like a masterpiece from heaven. Such excellence, discipline, and humility! He was simply a treasure.
Staring at him, her eyes filled with affection. She wanted to hug him and kiss his lips impulsively. Ever since meeting her Mr. Kitten, Agnes had become quite infatuated. Just seeing him made her feel incredibly happy.
After leaving the art museum, Tom continued as her guide and took her to the famous Cactus Park. Along the way, they saw statues of the school’s founders and their son. Tom shared the touching story behind them, which deeply moved Agnes. Her kind heart was stirred for a long time.
They also spotted some clever squirrels darting around without fear of humans. The cacti in the park were enormous, each one taller than Agnes and uniquely shaped. It felt like she had entered another world. Tom took many photos of her with the cacti, some candid shots included. Some cacti even had huge flowers that were truly stunning.
“Let me see the photos!” Agnes said happily as she approached him.
Tom showed her the pictures on his phone, and they both felt delighted.
“Doesn’t it feel like we’ve stumbled into a land of giants?” Tom asked.
Agnes marveled, “Oh my gosh, the cacti look even bigger in the photos! If I wore green clothes, I might blend right in.”
“You’re so petite; you need to eat more,” he teased.
“Even if I eat more, I won’t gain weight!” Agnes was pleased with the photos he took. “Can I take one of you?”
He hadn’t taken any photos because he told her he didn’t like being photographed. But seeing her hopeful smile, he didn’t want to disappoint her.
Tom thought for a moment and then beckoned her closer. “Come here.”
Agnes stepped forward eagerly. “Should I use your phone? All my photos are on your phone; shouldn’t I take some too?”
Before she could finish speaking, Tom wrapped an arm around her shoulder and used his long arm to take a selfie with the front camera. Agnes wasn’t prepared for it, so her expression was very natural. Because she was beautiful, every shot turned out well.
After taking one photo, Tom put away his phone and released her shoulder without showing her the picture.
“What? You already took it?” Agnes chased after him playfully. “Let me see!”
“No,” Tom teased back. “I’m afraid you’ll delete it.”
“I won’t delete it! I just want to see it!” She worried about leaving an unflattering photo on his phone.
“You can see it later,” Tom said calmly as he pocketed his phone and changed the subject. “What do you want to eat? We’ve been walking for a while; let’s get something to eat first.”
Agnes realized she was hungry but didn’t want to eat because she thought after lunch he would take her back to the apartment where he would work in his study while she drew in the bedroom-she couldn’t find an excuse to stay by his side.
Perhaps sensing her thoughts, Tom added, “We need to eat something first; the campus is huge. Without food, you might not have the energy to continue exploring. There’s also beautiful scenery here at night.”
He was going to show her the night view too? The previously downcast girl suddenly felt cheerful again.
