Chapter 2450: Do Good Deeds

That day, Spencer went to the club early in the morning, while Summer stayed home to accompany her parents. A truck driver helped deliver many flowers, as well as some vegetable seedlings and seeds. Several workers were helping to unload the goods, and everyone started planting flowers and vegetables in the backyard. Since the yard had been planned in advance, everyone just followed the plan to build it.
Mr. Campell and Mrs. Campell enjoyed this healthy and slow-paced life. Even though they were going through menopause, they felt very happy both physically and mentally.
“Summer, you and Spencer will have the healthiest vegetables to eat in the future. It’s good for your health. The vegetables bought outside might be full of chemicals, so try to eat them less,” Mrs. Campell said, having watched a lot of news recently and paying special attention to her family’s health. When a person has everything, they focus most on their health.
“That’s great, but won’t you get too tired? You have to take care of it every day,” Summer was still concerned about her parents.
“It’s just watering. Spencer even wants to install an automatic watering system, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Working out is good for the body,” Mr. Campell said with a smile. “It’s not tiring at all. What’s tiring about it? We feel more at ease eating vegetables we grow ourselves. You just focus on taking care of the baby; you don’t have to worry about anything else. Your mother and I are here.”
At this moment, Mrs. Campell also said, “Growing vegetables and enjoying the fruits of our labor is a joyful thing.”
“Spencer said not to overwork yourselves,” Summer smiled. “If you get tired, you’re not allowed to do it.”
“Yes, yes, let him rest assured that we won’t get tired.”
From the smiles on Mr. Campell’s and Mrs. Campell’s faces, it was clear that Spencer treated them very well, almost like a son.
After a while, a car drove into the yard and stopped in front of the villa. Spencer got out of the car and walked towards the living room when a servant reminded him, “Sir, they are all in the backyard; the flower delivery man has arrived.”
“Okay,” Spencer nodded and turned towards the backyard.
He spent most of his time with his wife now and no longer accepted scripts. He only went to the club when necessary since he had already trained capable assistants.
In the spacious backyard of the villa, workers helping with moving flowers greeted him warmly, “Hello, Spencer!”
The yard was bustling with activity.
“Dad, Mom, Summer and I are going out for a bit to buy some things,” Spencer said as he put his arm around his wife’s shoulder. After saying goodbye to his parents, they left.
About ten minutes later, they arrived at the mall. They had planned to go shopping last night to buy some maternity items like clothes.
Women always have a special fondness for shopping because it brings them good moods.
The maternity section in the mall was quite large. Couples were walking around; some women already had big bellies, and their smiles were filled with joy.
Summer felt envious seeing such scenes because she had just become pregnant and couldn’t feel the baby’s presence yet.
She thought women looked most beautiful when they were heavily pregnant and even wanted to take maternity photos.
Spencer and Summer shopped for two hours before coming out with large bags. After putting everything in the car,
Spencer asked her, “Do you want something to eat?”
“Sure,” Summer replied as she felt a bit hungry too. She looked around and said, “Let’s go over there.”
“Alright.”
As Spencer and Summer took a few steps forward, they noticed two figures sitting by the edge of a flower bed not far away who looked like Rupert’s parents. The elderly couple appeared somewhat disheveled as they sat together with their heads down.
They stopped walking and exchanged glances before Summer stepped forward with Spencer quickly following her.
When they stood in front of the flower bed and their shoes came into view of the elderly couple’s eyes, they slowly looked up and met eyes with the young couple.
The elderly couple seemed slow to react and were momentarily stunned.
Summer noticed that they had aged significantly since she last saw them; their mental state wasn’t good either-likely due to their son’s imprisonment-which must have been a heavy blow for them. They seemed quite pitiful indeed.
