My gaze homed on Rex, waiting for him to say something or do anything but nothing. He didn’t even release me from his tight hug.
Just when I thought Rex would release me, he moved his jaw to my head and inhaled. It was like he really want to fill his lungs with my scent for the last time before letting me go.
I relaxed.
Although I was not satisfied with what they are doing but I felt safe in my mate’s arms. I know he would not want to harm me, or let anyone arms me. I know he would protect and love me just as I had always wanted.
“I love you, Rain” Rex kissed my head “You know I will not want to anything that would hurt you or my baby.”
My baby.
I wanted to remind him that he wasn’t the one carrying the child. I wanted to tell him that the baby was in my womb but I stayed silent.
“You have to trust me, Rain” Rex said “I love you, so…”
“Can you please stop being pathetic? Just tell her what she need to know already and we will be on our way” Klaus interrupted
We all turned to look at Klaus.
Infact, all of us had our gaze at him in the middle, looking like a crooked celebrity.
I found Klaus’s gaze on my bare lefts, looking as if he was searching for something. That action caused Rex to growl and stood in a defensive position.
Silence.
No one said a word, the place was like something trapped in a paused movie until Mira bowed, and slowly left the room.
I looked at Hawk who’s gaze met mine and I was assured that he asked he to go.
“If we need privacy, I understand” Klaus said “Just make it past so I can have my sister” he added with a shurg.
Rex exhaled.
He moved his fingers into his hair and walked a few steps towards Klaus. Although his back was at me but I was sure that he was glaring at Klaus because his growing claws and furs said it all.
“Leave us alone!” Rex said.
I was expecting Klaus to leave but he didn’t. He bent, look at my face and asked;
“You don’t want to know what your husband is hiding from you?”
I needed to know. Frankly, everyone in my position would want to know so I didn’t want I thought I wouldn’t be able to do.
Use my Luna right for the first time in a way that Rex wouldn’t like.
“Leave us, Hawk” I said with my gaze at Rex and Klaus “We need to talk alone”
At first, I thought Hawk wouldn’t leave because he hesitated but one look at Rex and a slight nod, he closed the door behind him.
While I waited for both of them to get it together, I adjusted on my seat and cleared my throat to get their attention.
‘You are making a mistake, Rain’ Rex mind linked me.
I glared at him.
My brows raised and fall as I touched my belly.
‘I am your mate, and your Luna!’ I mind linked him back ‘If you want me to trust you, it has to me now!!!’

I could see the level of anger in Rex’s eyes as he glared at me then Klaus. He walked to the door, opened it and I was sure that he went to survey the area for people like Mira who listens to every wall.
Coming back to stand behind me, He fold his arms across his chest.

He was checking my bare legs before, now my arms? What should I expect next?
As if Rex was reading my mind, he removed his shirt and wore it over my head. It served as a mini gown.

I frowned.
Although it sem refreshing to hear that you have a family but not the younger one. It wasn’t even as if I had agreed that I really have a family.

Crossing my arm over my chest, I kept my gaze on Klaus.
The story can’t be over yet.
“And I am here to take you back because Rex has defiled the law of the werewolf and Lycan” Klaus said.
I found his gaze at Rex, looking and waiting as of he was expecting Rex to help him complete the statements. When Rex didn’t say anything, Klaus rolled his eyes and walked closer.
“He claimed you, Ashina!” Klaus snapped.
His nonchalant attitude was no more, just his self and an angry face.
I was more concerned about the name he called me, Ashina. Only one person know that name; only Rex.
“Ask him” Klaus point at Rex “He knows you are not getting your power right because he marked you when he knows he isn’t supposed to. Or did you accept to be his mate when he marked you?”

Rex seem anxious over it. He claim my body and marked me. I never wanted it to happen and till now, it doesn’t make sense!
Tear filled my eyes remembering that day, it was supposed to be a memorable day for me but Rex messed it up to the point that I didn’t want to remember anything about it.

Impatiently, I began to tap my bare foot on the floor. The water was almost dried up and I was beginning to feel cold and hungry.

My gaze locked with Rex who them attempt to walk to the door.

“YES!” klaus half yelled, making me flinch and growled at him.
He didn’t seem to care much as he said;
“She meant you need to say your part now so… you know” He scratched his head when I eyed him.
Then waiting for Rex, I held my arms to show him that I was visibly catching cold already.
“You won’t blame me, mate” he mumbled “I did it to survive”.

My brows crooked as I waited for more when came.
“I had to. And I want us both to survive that’s why I am putting you on your med, again” he whispered.
Rex was obviously ashamed, like he had really fucked up but I couldn’t get the main reason.
“What do you mean, Rex?” I asked.
“He is trying to say you have 80% possibility that you would die when giving birth” Klaus uttered.
I was in shock.
Shocked to hear that I would be expecting another death after I just escaped one.
“We are the last of our kind, Ashina” Klaus said calmly as he walked free steps towards me.
He had to stop when Rex growled, reminding him of whose Territory he had entered.
“It would have being better until Rex contaminated your blood! This son of a fucking bitch” Klaus pointed at Rex “This fucking asshole knew we were the last one when he was checking about what you where! And yet!!!”
Silence.
That kind of silence that would deafen the dead.
“This asshole knew I would come looking for you so he marked you and got you trapped with him for the rest of your life” Klaus roared.
I could see he was angry.
Pissed.
His claws grew and his skin changed to furs. He didn’t even had the mode of half shift as he was a a full beast, clothed, but standing on his two’s. A normal Werewolf would be on fours but Klaus was different.
His eyes shone red, as red as blood. His teeth were Long and I could see the those like fangs hanging in tact.
“You fucking bastard!” He yelled as he rushed to Rex who quickly hid behind my chair “You bastard!!!!”
I blinked.
If Rex was really really scared of Klaus, something might be really on.
“Tell her why you did it!” Klaus growled “Fucking tell h…”
“I will!!” Rex yelled back.
It was like they were having their different discussion and I was just ‘there’.
“Don’t you dare yell at me again!” Rex growled back “You dare not disrespect me in my park because I am the fucking Alpha!!”
Breathing hard, he walked away frome and pushed Klaus on the check. Dammnn, Klaus had changed, back to his human form and it was like he wasn’t just a weird looking beast before.
If he was my brother, wasn’t I supposed to look like him? I meant his wolf.
“She fucking bit me and I wasn’t healing” Rex said with visible saliva out from his mouth to Klaus’s face “I was going to die, and I had to do it! I had to fucking do it and I had no choice you fucking bag of shit!!!”
Breathing heavy, Both Klaus and Rex seem to have settled. All they did was glare at themselves with nothing but pure hate and anger.
“You knew about me being her brother, Rex” Klaus said calmly “I want you to tell her the main reason why you marked her and hid her away from me”

I was already traumatized about me.
About how much my mate could hide from me and literally ruin my existence.
Having not decided if I should cry or be strong, I held my heart in my hand as I expected the worst from my mate but he didn’t say anything.
His eyes were fixed on Klaus’s and they were staring daggers.
“This son of a bitch had a mate who rejected him!” Klaus started with a sly smirk on his still angry face “He knew you might die immediately of he mark you but he took the chances!” He looked away from Rex and stared at me.
He had this pitiful look in his gentle eyes. His eyes held nothing but love, care, and emotional support.
“He was scared that you might reject him too like his previous mate so as a coward, he fucking risked your life to make himself immortal and have you forever!” Klaus said.
I had no idea when tears before to drip into my cleavage. My lips quivered as I realized that I had always being the pawn in Rex’s life.
How come we were Mated?

With heavy heart, I slowly got off the chair and walked towards them. My gaze rested on them for a while before I slowly walked to the door.

“That’s enough, Klaus?” Rex Interrupted “You are hurting My Mate?” He growled.
Noise of bones snapping and growling were heard abs before I looked back, They were both in their beast mode. They were ready to tear each other apart.

“You knew she might die and yet you marked her!” Klaus growled.

“Are you going to attack me in from of her or you want her to get traumatized by watching me rip you into…”
I fell on my knees.
My heart ache and watching them hurt me like I had been stabbed a million times in the same spot.
I snorted unattractively and began to get discomforting hiccups. The corner of my eyes began to go dark, darker until I could barely breathe.

Although I wasn’t sure of who said it, I tried to stay awake before darkness consumed me.
