“Don’t worry! I guarantee this Heaven Book is absolutely genuine!” Nathanael Lowery continued.
“You better not deceive us, or you’ll regret it!” Sanaa thought for a moment and then looked at Billy. “Give me your knife!”
“Miss Sanaa, I think I can break this formation!” Billy smiled.
He knew Sanaa intended to awaken the soul consciousness of the fury blade to forcefully break the formation.
“Are you sure?” Sanaa was taken aback. “Then hurry up!”
“Yes!” Billy nodded and once again released his mental power to get to work.
About a quarter of an hour later, Billy opened his eyes and with a flick of his wrist, a blade light flashed towards a pillar on the right side.
However, to Billy’s surprise, the blade light exploded directly, leaving the pillar unscathed.
“Is the formation eye there?” Sanaa spoke while pulling out a thin sword from her storage ring. “Let me do it!”
In the next moment, a sword light swiftly flashed through the middle of the pillar.
Although it appeared undamaged on the surface, it had actually been cut in half.
Immediately, a powerful aura spread from the center of the hall, and the formation barrier instantly vanished.
“Hahaha…” Nathanael Lowery laughed loudly upon gaining his freedom. “I’m finally out!”
“Hand over the Heaven Book!” Sanaa said calmly after a moment.
“Please leave your names. I will remember today’s kindness and repay you in the future when I have the chance!” Nathanael Lowery steadied his emotions and looked at the two of them.
“So you don’t want to give it to us?” Sanaa glanced at him.
“You better think carefully. Otherwise, staying in that barrier might have kept you alive!”
“How about this?” Nathanael Lowery thought for a moment before speaking. “Come back with me to the Abyssal Clan, and I’ll let you choose any treasure from our vault…”
“I’ll give you three seconds to decide. If you don’t hand over the Heaven Book, you’ll be on your way!” Sanaa interrupted him.
“Heh, little girl, such tough talk!” Nathanael Lowery sneered coldly. “Do you think you can stop me…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Sanaa had already made her move. A sword force tore through the void towards him.
“Overestimating yourself!” Nathanael Lowery shouted angrily and threw out a mark with his raised hand.
Their attacks collided, and a violent wave of energy swept outwards. Fortunately, the treasure vault was reinforced with formations; otherwise, it would have turned to dust in an instant.
Sanaa and Nathanael Lowery were both thrown back, crashing into the wall behind them. Billy was also sent flying backwards.
“I underestimated you!” Nathanael Lowery continued walking towards them.
“This place is too small. Let’s go outside and find a better spot. If you can defeat me in ten moves, I’ll give you the Heaven Book!”
Before he finished speaking, Billy attacked with a Thunder Blade.
Sky Burial Blade!
“Hmm?” Sensing the power of this strike, Nathanael Lowery’s pupils contracted instantly.
Realizing he couldn’t dodge, he immediately used all his strength to defend himself.
After a loud bang, Nathanael Lowery was slammed into a wall column by the shockwave, spitting out a large mouthful of blood. He was seriously injured and his face showed intense shock.
From the beginning, he hadn’t taken Billy seriously. A seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm opponent was not worth his attention.
But he never imagined that Billy’s strike could threaten his life. It was unbelievable.
Without time to think further, Nathanael Lowery knew staying any longer would mean certain death. He turned and dashed towards the staircase on the other side.
Just as he reached the staircase, a sword force from Sanaa struck him from behind.
Unable to dodge, Nathanael Lowery was sent flying again, spitting blood into the air. His injuries worsened significantly.
However, he managed to disappear at the staircase entrance.
“Can you escape?” Sanaa chased after him with Billy close behind.
Soon, they emerged from the treasure vault’s first-floor entrance, spotting Nathanael Lowery a kilometer ahead.
“I hate people who break their promises!” Sanaa’s face darkened as her aura surged again. “If you want to die, I’ll oblige!”
In the next moment, a thin sword shot out like lightning, tearing open a dark rift in the void as it passed.
“Stop being arrogant!”
At that moment, a man’s voice rang out as a powerful aura surged from the sky.
A thunderous explosion followed as the newcomer’s attack collided with Sanaa’s sword force, causing the void to collapse into a massive black hole.
Nathanael Lowery was thrown forward several kilometers by the shockwave. Already severely injured, his condition worsened further, leaving him with only thirty to forty percent of his combat strength.
Soon after, nearly a hundred people descended from the sky.
Billy squinted slightly as he observed them. Most were Mystic Kun Realm cultivators, including many familiar faces from the Abyssal Clan and Cloud Valley groups they had encountered before.
Leading them was Roland Lowery, the current patriarch of the Abyssal Clan and its strongest member with False God Realm cultivation!
It was Roland Lowery who had intercepted Sanaa’s sword force earlier!
“High Priest, you’re out? What happened?” Roland Lowery asked Nathanael Lowery.
“Patriarch,” Nathanael Lowery replied after catching his breath and explained what had transpired without hiding anything.
After finishing, he took out the Heaven Book from his storage ring and handed it to Roland Lowery. “Patriarch, I’ve verified this Heaven Book; it’s genuine!”
“Good work. Tend to your injuries first.” Roland Lowery put the Heaven Book into his storage ring and led his group towards Sanaa and Billy.
“Mr. Billy, hello!” Kallie Lowery greeted Billy first.
“Is this how your Abyssal Clan handles things?” Billy asked calmly.
“Mr. Billy…” Kallie Lowery began but was interrupted by Roland Lowery. “We can’t give you the Heaven Book, but we can offer you something else.”
As he spoke, he removed another storage ring from himself and handed it to Billy after canceling its ownership.
“There are several items inside that are no less valuable than some of the lower-ranked Sacred Objects. You can choose any two.”
“Not interested,” Billy replied. “I only want the Heaven Book.”
“Mr. Billy, one shouldn’t be too greedy. You already have three volumes of the Heaven Book…” an elder from their group began to speak.
“It’s not your turn to speak. Shut up!” Sanaa scolded sternly.
“How dare you speak to me like that…” The elder frowned but didn’t finish his sentence as Sanaa slapped him away with her palm.
“Get lost!” The elder hadn’t taken Sanaa seriously and punched back but was sent flying with blood spraying from his mouth. His aura weakened and his face turned pale.
He was an eighth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivator but stood no chance against Sanaa due to underestimating her initially.
“Bastard, you…” Another elder from their group frowned but was interrupted by Sanaa’s stern voice.
“Stop babbling. If anyone is dissatisfied, come at me directly!” she said coldly. “I’ll kill as many as come!”
