Contracted to the wrong Alpha
Chapter 99
Seraphina’s pov
In less than two hours, I arrived at the village which was as calm as a graveyard. Tall trees covered everywhere but the cottages and gardens were a scene I loved to see all the time I came here.
Now these cottages were identical, one couldn’t tell who lived here due to the same designs and sizes of the buildings and cottages but with the frequent visits, the ability possessed in them and the unity they share is more than enough to know who has which cottages and that was how I found myself in Lexxuster’s home. The woman who saved me from my dying state in the hospital and gave me a life to work for her.
“You don’t look too great today, Seraphina!” She giggled, pouring some tea for me before passing it and I nodded.
“Yeah, I look like shit and I think it’s time. I’m done thinking and trusting that Alexander would love me again like before. It’s fruitless.” She smiled in satisfaction and sat down, staring at me amusingly.
She was a very pretty woman full of life, with bright Brunette hair and emerald eyes that depicted a hidden royalty. She had a body to kill for when she’s indoors but she looks like an ancient old lady when she’s out disguising her normal look all thanks to the effect of her witchcraft.
“Did I tell you something like this when you got up from that bed?” She asked in a mocking tone and I swallowed.
She had warned me that Alex would never look at me the same way and to make things move smoothly, I needed the powers of seduction and compellment.
It was a deadly power that would send him in pain and listen to all my demands but I kicked against it because I believed in our Love and couldn’t bear to see him in pain.
“Yes, and I was foolish not to accept that. I need It now. He’s way more into her than his life and I don’t want that. I want him, all of him alone and to declare me as his Luna, that way I’ll be able to get what you need me to do about his demon powers during the full moon.”
I told her and she smiled at me, urging me to drink the hot tea before it gets cold and I did that immediately.
“I’ll give it to you before you leave but there’s a problem.” She suggested and I stared with keen interest.
“You need to kill, Seraphina.” My eyes widened in dread at her words.
“I’m not killing Alexander, that wasn’t the plan.” I gasped in dread.
“I never said you were killing Alex, you’re taking down his Beta because he’s aware you come here every day. You’re taking off that Vampire that pokes his nose everywhere!” She spat out and I gulped hard with a trembling hand.
Killing Raven was like saying, making the ocean run dry. That guy was deadly and scary like what I couldn’t fathom.
“How do I do that?” I asked her in worry.
“I’ll get a Vampire Poison, visit his home, and raise a false alarm about knowing about their precious Lilia, he will come over and I want you to use the opportunity to get closer to him. I would have said poison his drink or meal but we both know that Raven is not stupid.”
“So…so what do I do then, kiss him?”
She chuckled at my words and shook her head.
“No, you’re going to stare at him straight in the eyes. Nothing fucking works on the vampire skin or drink or any bullshit. It’s the sun and the power from the eyes or poisonous blood. I’ll give you a contact lens with dark powers, the moment you look deeply into his Irises, his power buds will weaken and destroy him to death.”
She explained and I nodded, if killing him was going to be through a simple stare then I was equal to the task.
“Alright, leave that to me but may I ask why you’re doing this? Why are you so keen on making sure the Wilsons suffer?” I asked curiously because this woman had nothing to do with the wolves, her world was so strange and different so how was she connected to them?
“Nope, I’m not destroying them. I’m taking back what belongs to me and what was stolen.” I frowned and kept shut because it seemed she had more to say than what she just spewed.
“My mate was stolen from me, her son was given the spotlight instead of mine and when I thought I could wipe him off the face of the earth while growing up, he took a precious power from me instead. I couldn’t be with my mate because of the personality I have as a witch. No one wanted me and Midnight Shade is the worst pack when it has to do with their preferences and beliefs.” She explained, masking her bitter emotions, and smiled instead.
“Are you saying you got rejected because you’re a witch or did your mate reject you?” I needed to be sure because I knew she was referring to the royal family, she was referring to Alexander and Felix and I was more than stunned to realize that Felix was her son.
“No Seraphina, I ran. I fled because the pressure was too much on the Alpha and the threats about my life got worse so I left only to discover a few weeks later that I was pregnant. I came back to drop my baby with the Alpha because he had all it took to take care of my child and I had nothing. He was already married to a Luna he accepted and loved so I couldn’t dare try to stay even when he wanted me to.
I only had one wish though, to make my son the Alpha.
That way, I’ll come back to my son without any controversies but he didn’t answer. He declared Alexander as his heir. When I got extremely pissed and angry for vengeance, I sneaked into the palace and tried to kill Alexander off but I only fortified him with the deadliest power in existence!
It’s way too deadly and precious but I couldn’t take it back because the process of getting that power back was a tedious one.
I thought for years about how to get It but I couldn’t have a solution until I heard about you and I knew you would be perfect.”
She grinned at me and I released a shaky breath, amused at how far a woman went for her revenge scheme.
“And the day you mess with me Seraphina or try to help instead of destroying what I want you to destroy, I’ll send you back to the grave, and this time with your brother?” She said softly and smiled but chills ran through my body in dread as I nodded, feeling more determined to visit Raven’s home.
****
“Oh my God, Luna Seraphina! Welcome, what are you doing here!” A maid squeaked in excitement which alerted the others and Raven’s mum came out too.
“What do you mean, I’ve rarely been here. Is it a crime to visit the Beta’s home?” I asked, feigning annoyance and she apologized.
“Oh dear, don’t mind her. Please come in honey.” She looked at the maid and snapped. “Prepare something really warm and nice for her please.”
She smiled sweetly and I gave her the bag of fruits I bought along the way.
“Just something little for you, where’s your husband?” I asked as if it was my business when I knew how much I disliked Raven’s father. He was too calculated and smart like his son.
“He went for a general meeting but would return soon.”
I nodded at her and went straight to the point knowing it was going to affect her. She looked so tired and stressed through her eyes and I could tell that she had been crying over a daughter she had barely reunited with again after a very long time of searching and giving up.
“Please can you call Raven for me?”
“Oh dear, he’s not around at the moment.” Her brows twisted in worry and she tucked the honest curls that threatened to fall and cover her Sapphire eyes.
“But it’s important, tell him I received a tip concerning Lilia stating her whereabouts and they need him alone, something worse might take place.”
She gasped immediately and tears fell from her face, in no time she shakily reached for her phone to dial Raven’s number.
“Calls can be tapped and tracked, don’t tell him about Lilia through the call. Just tell him to come back home.” She nodded at me and I sighed feeling satisfied and staring at the aesthetics of the house when I trembled at the voice behind me.
“Raven is not returning to the Pack in three days because I sent him on an errand!”
My eyes widened in horror, ” Alexander?” What the fuck is he doing here?
I swallowed hard and rubbed my fingers nervously as I watched him collect the phone softly from the woman who already had tears. He was pretty, no sexy as fuck with a red polo shirt and sweat pants as he leaned by the door and darkened his gaze at me.
“Don’t worry, we’re on it. I’ll talk to her instead, just go and rest!” He told her tiredly and the moment she left, he grabbed my arms harshly and led me outside.
