Chapter 86
Lilia’s Pov
I saw a burst of energy that was brighter than the sun itself after he had his fill of my blood and instead of feeling irritated, I only got worried.
His claws suddenly longer and sharper than any blade and he cut the ropes like thread, pushing off the leaves and shade I used in covering him.
“Are you feeling okay now?”
I asked him softly and he nodded, trying to avoid my gaze.
“You’re a Vampire, Raven.” It wasn’t a question, it was a direct statement and he nodded.
“Half.”
“How, you have a wolf. Your mother is l”
“Let’s go to the arena Luna, I’ll tell you everything” he removed his shirt and put on my body, scooping me off from the floor and in no time we were before the mansion in a super fast speed and blur.
We saw an ambulance by the entrance and confusion washed his face.
“I asked for help, your parents were drugged.” He clenched his jaw and swallowed.
“Are they okay?” He whispered and I nodded. “I’m sure they will be fine. I think they were only sedated or something.”
“Let’s go Luna, You’re late and I’ve broken the first rule of the fighting game.” He told me and dragged me outside, not bothering to pick up his shirt to cover his disturbing skin that revealed way too much sinful art.
Jethro was right before us, glaring and puffing out his muscles in red anger.
For a moment, he looked so scary that I thought he was going to hit me.
“You tricked me Luna! And now, I’m being seen as a fool by the Alpha who has been calling me non stop to ask of you! This is your last day, a last chance to be free from this hell hole but you’re with him? Are you fucking with the Beta too?” Raven scoffed and I tore a heavy slap on his face feeling my palms burned as I glared at him.
“What I do is none of your business, but accuse me of such insolence again and I’ll make sure I do all it takes to make you suffer.”
He rubbed his cheeks and grinned coyly without saying a word.
“Get in the car, Alpha Alexander is worried as fuck.”
“She comes with me, meet us at the arena.” Raven said curtly and I wondered how we are supposed to go to the arena without using the car.
“I’m acting on the Alpha’s orders, ain’t going anyway without Luna”
“I’m his beta, he won’t have a problem with that.”
“You’re going to fuck off Raven, this has nothing to with authority or any kind! Stay were you are and don’t fucking Interfere!” He spat out as if they had been long time enemies which wasn’t supposed to be so.
“Get in the car Luna! I’m definitely sure the imaginary bleeding has stopped!” He said, trying to grab my hands and Raven’s eyes darkened with raw blood lust he didn’t care to hide.
“You interfered with mine! I’m not stupid Jethro, let her skin clash with yours and I’ll smash your brains to the wind screen of this car! I hope she wins this fight, it’s going to be a sweet feast for you all.” Raven spat out and Jethro shook, shifting away from him and Raven carried me up.
“Let’s go Luna.” I held his shoulders and nodded at him.
All I heard was a fast sound and blurry objects, he was using his Vampire super speed powers without hiding anything and I didn’t know why it felt great.
We reached the arena and I got nervous as hell.
It looked like a stadium, the crowd roared in anger at my presence and I saw my opponent on the field.
I was going to be fighting with this same stupid Gracie??
Is she the only warrior? I thought I broke her limbs enough to keep her away from me.
“Fucking stupid bitch! You’re late as always. Breaking the first rule and displaying a madness I can’t fathom!” Alveria’s Sharp’s voice rang through my ears and I shook. My hands became cold and my lips trembled both in rage and fear. She was glaring hard at Raven who returned a smirk.
“How can I come early to an event like this without putting on a show for you to watch? Tell me dear Priestess of the moon goddess, how long did you wait?” I spat back on confidence hiding my fear and she grinned.
“Long enough to prepare your fucking doom!”
“LILIA TYSON CONOR IS HERE! LET’S GET READY FOR THE FIGHT!!” She yelled my name and the crowd jeered. I could see Felix, I don’t know why my body always directed me to him, he sat with Tessy who had her hands intertwined together and they both stared at me making me panic.
” I’m sorry Luna, I caused all of these. Just breathe okay? Don’t look at them!” Raven’s voice went from calm to a snappy one and I nodded.
“It’s not your fault.”
“Flower?” I turned sharply to Lex’s voice and I swallowed hard. He looked like a sunflower, his golden eyes were sunk in worry and he stared at Raven before settling his gaze on me.
“What happened? You’re late. Are you okay? Come here…” I went into his arms when he gestured and I felt safe, I didn’t want to get out or leave. I didn’t know what awaited me in that field.
“I’ll explain Alpha, it’s all my fault.”
“It’s her last day Rave! Everything personal would have waited! She wasted one freaking hour!” Alexander didn’t yell or sounded so pissed, he was just disappointed and I bit my lips hugging him tightly.
“Fucking breath for me flower, your heart is racing too much.” He kissed my hair and I nodded before he disentangled himself.
“I don’t know what Alveria is up to by using that warrior again, make sure you remember all her moves okay. I won’t let you die, not in my lifetime.” He stared at me softly with worry and I got confused for a moment.
“She changed the rules.” He swallowed and my eyes widened.
“What rules?” Panic coursed through me instantly.
“You both are fighting to death.” I gasped and shook my head.
“That wasn’t the plan Lex, what if she has something sharp or something up her sleeves to pull me down.”
“I’ll stop it. I’m beyond this as this is the law and my father approved of it. As a rogue wolf, it’s supposed to be plain death but those tests were supposed to cover up and prove you innocent but she doesn’t want that.” I nodded at him and bit my lips.
“She wants me dead.”
“It’s not happening baby, I’ll rather put my”
“You won’t risk your position for me Lex! Don’t say that.”
My name was called out again in anger and tears dropped. I was so nervous and this is so bad.
“You’ll be surprised at the things I’ll do for a woman that I love.” Lex whispered, tucking my hair to the back and my lips trembled.
“What do you mean?”
“I’ll fucking burn this whole pack if they mess with you Lilia, so just go in there play your part and leave the rest. I’ll go anywhere to get you out of there alive because I love you.”
My heart could burst at this genuine confession. I only let the tears spill out.
“Lex??”
“Yes Flower, I fucking love you crazily and I want you to be mine for a very long time.”
He kissed my forehead and that was the only strength I needed to boost me out of my weakness.
“I won’t fail Alexander, I’m not going to let her win because I want to hear that phrase over and over again until I believe it’s real.”
He chuckled and nodded, biting his lips sensually.
“Do that for me, and I’ll take you out of here with this stupid shirt on you. I’m burning it off so Raven will learn his place.”
“I can hear that Alpha, it’s just a shirt.”
We both chuckled at his words and I gave Lex a quick Kiss on the lips, feeling confident without knowing that would be the moment of a fucking disaster.
Everything I thought I would have or the last string of what I had, crushed to the very last piece of dust before my face.
