Chapter 80
Lilia’s pov
A loud gasped escaped my throat as I got up from Lex’s hard body at once and Lex stared with a blank expression. I expected him to do something with his authority as Raven was losing control and throwing heavy punches until Felix retaliated , throwing Raven off him with a force I reckoned to be hereditary, I’ve seen that move before and my heart lurched at my chest at Raven’s fall.
My heart thundered too as I wondered what was wrong. The crowd murmured excitedly and the others were so worried that they waited to Intervene to protect their Beta.
Yes, the guards were on standby to protect Raven at all costs but they didn’t make a move, they wanted a simple order.
“Lex!” I gasped at him, telling him to talk to them but he bit his lips, his toned hard muscles, Flexing at every movement he made.
“Raven is not stupid, he knows when to stop.” He said curtly and I could sense the disappointment in his tone.
“All of you should leave!! NOW!!” Raven ordered and the people all rushed out like a lost scrambled rat seeking refuge. I was curious as hell but I didn’t want to interrupt the men’s talk with my presence, especially with Felix whose existence irritated the hell out of my life.
“Not you Lilia! You need to stay.” He said coolly when I turned to join them and the nervousness and curiosity tripled to a higher degree.
“What the fuck Raven?!” Lex went hot on Raven, immediately everyone was out of sight, his jaw twitched hard and the intensity of his voice screamed disappointment and fatigue.
“I’m sorry Alpha but he needed more than that, I bet you will kill any soul if they dared try what he did!”
Raven said with a stone face, his sapphire eyes darkened in anger and his hair was packed to the sides, making some waves fall to face. His brown shirt was soaked in sweat and It became a see through of Sexiness from his chest to the dip of his abs and waist.
He looked feral as anger was too inferior of a word to use at the moment.
” And you had to display it for the pack members to see? Felix remains a royalty! That’s total disrespect, I’ve told you severally to stop letting your hatred for him cloud your judgment!”
“It’s not that Alpha! Your brother is a fucking Venom and he messed with the wrong person.”
They exchanged words together and Felix stood up, glaring at him before turning to his brother impatiently.
“He was supposed to be stripped off is duties but you let him, despite knowing how much he disgusts me, you made him the Pack’s beta and keep giving flimsy excuses to retain his rotten personality. This would be the highest form of bullshit I’ll tolerate, he’s leaving!!” Felix let loose of his anger and I cowered in dread.
“What the fuck happened Raven, speak and leave immediately. I need to think so adding this here wasn’t part of the plan in any way.”
I stared at them like a spectator, a bigger part of me getting scared that this was going to be directed at me and being a big supporter of Raven. I know something must have triggered him to react that way, he was always reserved, calm and sweet.
“I went through the school security facility, and had worked for it for weeks, day and night, the things I found out after hacking the security system was wild.” Raven explained and my heart jammed rapidly and had against my chest, bringing forth old memories, the pain, trauma and depression.
Raven flickered his gaze at me and continued. “Luna’s tape that got released and taken down is all connected to Felix!” I staggered in shock and tried to hold anything for support but I found none.
Lex stared at Raven as if he had two heads and everything he was saying seemed like an illusion.
“That’s a very heavy allegation, Raven!” Lex growled, he turned to me but I threw my gaze and swallowed.
Only Felix felt comfortable and nonchalant.
“I don’t care what you think Alpha but I hope you find the answers to what I sent to you on your phone. Felix is smart to do anything funny so I’m not risking that on your laptop.”
I was so confused as hell, fidgeting nervously and Lex turned stare at his brother with confusion and uncertainty.
“What? You think I’m scared that you’re going to listen and believe your Beta’s words over mine again?”
Lex shook his head at him and chuckled blankly, his eyes darkened instantly as he spewed the next words.
“I’ve always chosen your words over Raven’s, believing you like my life depended on it. But it’s going to be different this time Felix, not after the bullshit that happened in my company, you will return the money meant for Lex enterprise and I better not find anything that would throw me off guard Felix! Raven would never ever make silly jokes, no matter the hatred and irritation.”
Lex grinded his word hotly and Raven said the next words that threw me off guard.
“Lilia Tyson had better not be my long lost sister Alpha, I don’t know how all of this is connected in place but she had better not be after the DNA results, I’ll kill Felix and drink every drop of his blood so it won’t touch the sands of this earth.” Raven’s growl made me shudder and confused.
I vibrated at his words, feeling so small and useless at every word spewed, it sounded like a bomb in my heart. I was confused. Lee was confused about what makes the Alpha but despite everything, I knew something ugly was about to occur.
Felix didn’t give a damn, an act that scared me because the one I know would do anything to save himself off the embarrassment and shame that’s about to befall him.
Lex stared at me and back to Raven, an act that made my stomach drop in dread, what would be his reaction when he realizes all of this? Why were they so keen on finding all of this when they should have just let it go and act as if none of that happened?
These questions were what I seek answers for but it remained unanswered
