Chapter 65
Lilia’s Pov
“Bitch!” The hot coffee was splashed on my face and the cup, slammed on the table before I could reach out to get the coffee presented on the table.
It was a breakfast of scrambled eggs, sliced bread, bacon and coffee all for me alone but Tessy walked in a flash to display a scene this morning. I haven’t eaten for two days now since I stepped my feet here except water and it’s all thanks tony mood swings that keeps making the food look ls like a forbidden item to my stomach.
Just when I thought I could have this breakfast, she surfaced. Her dark curls were neatly packed but her green eyes blazed deeply to her Irises. Raw anger emanates from her reaction that I could almost see her steam up in flames.
I rolled my eyes and stared at my white singlet which was a mess and sighed.
“Do you miss me so much that you won’t let me breathe?” I asked boredly, getting up to let the dark coffee liquid pour to the ground.
“You’re very stupid for such a useless statement, go to the general royal hall right now. Your second test continues immediately right before the President and Luna and make sure to explain to them what you did to their son!” She spat out and my heart dropped in dread, fuck! It affected me so badly that I couldn’t even hide my expression and she cracked an ugly laughter.
“Since you have refused to comply my getting your bitchy self out if the surface of this earth, you won’t see what will hit you Lilia, it would be hard and unexpected. You better get your miserable self out of there before you make your death faster! I still want to see you suffer for a long time before you perish!” She spat out clicked her tongue, raising her weight from the table and turning to leave with her waist swaying to each side as she moved.
I rubbed my hands shakily and sighed. Lex’s father is here.
And he’s here to witness one of the tests which might expose my Identity. He’s an Alpha and he’ll definitely recognise a rogue in one swift stare. We haven’t met since the wedding saga and I don’t need a soothsayer to tell me how disappointed he was, I was scared about Lex’s mum. I wouldn’t like it if she hates me for doing that or detest me for sending Felix unconscious. That woman was sweet to me
I swallowed and took a step forward and murmured, fighting the urge and sense of dependency because I badly needed Lex here. I’ve done a good job by not trying to think about how his presence would have made things easier for me but here I am no, wishing he was going to be there in that royal room with his hot arrogant features staring at the whole scene badly and glarint at anyone that dared touch me.
It was that bad that I get too safe around him, believing that nothing was going to hurt me.
I shook my head from the weak thought and walked to the Royal hall. It’s large, tall and heavily decorated with royal blue and gold curtains, the Italian leather couch formed a round setting of an aesthetic view and the highest chair amongst others was the one the President and his Luna sat down.
The whole place fell silent at my presence and I swallowed, my legs were shaky at every step but Lee told me I was showing too much weakness and I had ti carry my shoulders eyes and stared at them in the eyes even when I felt they were going to burn me up with their stares or words.
I smiled at the Lex’s mum and bowed before turning to the King with the same gesture.
“It’s nice to see you Luna and Alpha.” I pressed my lips, feeling embarrassed at their silence but I continued.
“I’m sorry, If I kept any of you waiting. May we proceed to the reason I’m here?” I asked, turning my gaze to Alveria who was more than eager to see me go down. She was standing right beside the President who was dressed in a rich Russian suit manufactured with wool. The materials was so fucking expensive when I needed one for my fashion line, his watch, shoes and tie were all from Calvin collection and his face wore a striking resemblance with Lex. The only difference was the arrogant stare. Mr Wilson stared at me like a predator and I wondered what Alveria has fed him with.
“What happened to my son?” He asked me and I swallowed, what was I supposed to tell him right him? That I ea threatened to leave the pack, that we were once a thing ajs it ended up ugly.
“Don’t you dare keep the Alpha waiting! sat something!” Alveria snapped and I swallowed.
“I don’t understand your question Alpha, your son is doing perfectly okay.” I muttered and the man who had be sitting quietly near the man I knew to be Mr Brixton cleared his throat. His wore grey shirt, he looked bald but neat and his eyes looked like someone that had been tormented in his nightmares.
Nothing about his eyes were cool, it was eerie that I had to look away.
“She’s lying. ” He blurted out and I turned to him sharply.
“She’s truly a rogue possessed with hypnotising powers because Alexander has never done what he did to me and my family!” He yelled, his wrinkles hands trembled alongside his jaw, as he stared at me with hatred and threw a stack of files to my face which took me by surprise.
“What do you mean by that?” I was forced to ask the man who looked pissed at hell, not bothering to take the papers that has formed a pool beneath my legs. And here I am, thinking they were referring to Felix.
“What don’t you understand you witch? You’re the first person to do thus, bending the will of a very powerful young Alpha. Just tell us who cursed you so that we can help, and not destroying the grace and mentality of others by using your rogue powers!”
I glared fiercely at him as my anger took over, the words thrown at me was way too much and I won’t tolerate it anyway no matter who the fuck he thinks he is, as long as he’s not the President or Lex, he had no rights!
“If you have a problem that needs to be cured, then you should start by seeking help. Alveria here will help you, I know she’s always eager to help but don’t you ever call me cursed or a rogue again. I remain your Luna till as long as this shit continues!” I fired and the shock on his face was real.
Alveria walked over and I didn’t expect the slap she sent to my cheeks, making my hair sweep all over.
“That’s no way to talk to the Minister of Finance you insulting brat! Now turn to him and apologize immediately!” She ordered and that same moment, loud mannerless heels echoed on the marble tiles and we all turned to see who it was only to see Isabelle walking ovee z dressed in a long black dinner gown which made me roll my eyes and connected the dots.
“I won’t say shit, he insulted me first and I didn’t cane here for him. I came to see the Alpha President and Luna and carry on the ridiculous test you’ve imposed on me!” I glared at her and this man stood up immediately.
“That’s enough Brickwood, sit down.” The President said in a straight sharp tone but he did.
“But Alpha, this is unacceptable. I was practically denied access to everything. Alpha Alexander didn’t grant me any access to the Ministry and my family is suffering right now.”
“I said, sit down.” He ordered and immediately, he down like a robot from the effect of the Alpha aura before he turned to look at me.
“I don’t know what happened between my son and your position but I don’t think it’s has anything to do with her.” He said, not leaving his eyes off me.
“I don’t want to believe that Conor would betray me by harbouring a rogue for a daughter..” My heart plummeted badly and I gulped. “Because she doesn’t look like one, she’s feisty, intelligent and smart with the best fashion mall that my son took over lately..”
“But Alpha you shouldn’t be swayed by that, she’s hellish. Your son was attacked last night all because of her.” Alveria growled and he raised his hands.
“I don’t want to know about Felix, he’s not a baby. All you need to do is prove to me that she’s a rogue and I’ll Kill her myself.”
