Lilia’s Pov
What was meant to be a blissful blessing for me by going out every day, became a curse in disguise.
I hid my discomfort from Raven, I knew he would stop me immediately or confront Isabella but there was more to my work right now.
I was being tossed here and there like some garbage truck and seen as nothing but an intern of the whole enterprise but something piqued my interest each passing day.
Almost half of the workers were nonhuman, making me believe the majority would be from the Mid Nightshade Pack which scared the wits out of me, another thing was the dubious acts and crimes involved.
I might not be a business expert but I know illegal deals and signatures on files that have nothing to do with the company’s revenue. Isabella wasn’t left out as I carried files from all corners for signing, the men knew I was a wolf and that tripled my suffering.
I took awareness of all of them, aside from the front desk lady working for Lex specifically.
She was a human, sweet, and scared of losing her job.
“This looks perfect Jake, We can sell this out to Jinx Metals on behalf of the CEO!” Isabella squeaked as she stared at her system and I was there, standing like a robot waiting for the next command.
“Yes, but we haven’t heard from the Alpha yet. We need to be sure we’re still affiliated with the Green Howling Pack after the death of Alpha Ryker! The rumors I’m hearing are bad and I don’t want the Alpha to get pissed.” Jake, the accountant said, massaging the bridge of his nose as he spoke to Isabella.
“That won’t be an issue, you know Lex never goes back on his word.”
“Well, I can’t say. He promised never to get married but he did and his wife is someone you don’t even know! He can bend his rules!”
Isabella swallowed hard and hissed, packing her hair nervously.
“Seraphina remains the only one in his life, she’s just a liability to fill up space and status.”
Who the heck is Seraphina? I felt curiosity eat me deeply.
“But you should have been the liability and not some random bitch!”
A scoff escaped my lips and they realized that I was still in the room.
“I don’t like her eyes, Bella, how did she get into the company?” Jake scoffed.
“Take this file and sign it Lilia, you will be receiving a package in the evening,” Jake told me and I shook my head.
“I’m exhausted and I can’t sign what’s not authorized,” I said quietly and he stood up abruptly, his eyes now blazing as if he was waiting for an opportunity like this where he could relay his true colors.
“Excuse me?”
“I’m just stating that-”
“Shut the fuck up and take this thing out now!” He roared and I didn’t flinch.
“I won’t sign it, with all due respect.”
“Take it, Lilia, I know you don’t work for him but it’s an order from him.” She said and I laughed out in amusement.
“I don’t work for any of you! I’m not signing an illegal file!” I dropped the Bombshell and the slap that echoed in the room was deafening, it made me see stars before I realized that I was the one.
Isabella slapped me hard.
“How on earth do we have a wolf in our midst Bella? Can you imagine what she just spewed?” Jake ruffled his salty brown hand with one hand and ruffled the other one.
“I’ll handle her Jake!”
“I won’t do it, Isabella! If it’s so important to you, get it done and leave me out of your mess. Just as you’ve always said, I’m just an intern!” I yelled at her in fury, pushing all my self-control out to her face.
I was tired, I walked out hastily only to bump into Jacinta but she pushed me so hard enough to land my ass heavily on the pavement of the tiles.
“What sort of clumsy attitude was that, huh?” She bellowed and I could only wince from The impact of the pain and watched her eyed me disgustingly before she left.
I sat down there unable to move, thoughts flooded my brain wondering if this was how Lex ran his company successfully.
“He’s an Alpha you fool, his father is the President too, what do you expect?” Lee cackled at my unbelief and I saw a hand stretched out to me.
“You need to get up from that place before another one bumps into you,” She said and held me up, making me smile.
“Are they always like this?” I asked the lady, her brown hair was packed In a bun and her bright eyes blinked cutely at me. Her hands were so soft, just like her smile and we both walked out from there.
“Yeah, welcome to the highest grade of a bully,” she chuckled, arranging my hair.
“You are very beautiful, are you a model?” She asked me and I almost blushed.
“I wish I was.”
“I’m sorry Lilia but the stunt you pulled out there would lead you to trouble. Nobody talks to Isabella in that manner.”
She said sweetly and we walked to her ebony silver desk.
“So what am I supposed to do? Collect the file and sign?”
“Yes.” She shrugged sadly. “I did that severally to secure a job here, I’m still doing that to keep me here. I don’t have a choice but Isabella is well-connected and I don’t want to lose my Job. Rumors had it that she was dating the Boss before he recently got married. If you want to work here, Lilia, don’t complain or try to correct them.”
“But it’s wrong! She even slapped me! She had no rights. Goodness, what’s going on here?”
I groaned in fury.
“A lot has been going on, from the bullies to the harassment, rape, illegal activities, lies, and more lies that meet the eyes. They act like a saint before the oh-so-busy Boss and become Devils in his absence ”
She explained and sat down while I shook my head in disbelief.
“Don’t tell me you’re a victim of what you just mentioned!”
“I was, I’m trying to escape but Lex’s Enterprise pays me too fucking well to think of leaving or endangering my Job.”
She expressed herself and took out a gum from her bag to chew, passing me and I collected it.
This is not right, not that I care but Lex still needs to know what’s going on before they sell his company off one fine day.
A loud bang on the desk brought me back to life and I turned to meet Isabella’s fiery gaze.
“Come to my office now!” She fired aggressively and walked away in the direction of her office.
“I’m Lucia, I hope you don’t get fired, Lilia. See you later.” She stretched her lips into a pitiable smile and I nodded, following the direction of Isabella.
“Who the Fuck are you?” She spat on me immediately after I entered.
“Are you some sort of Queen to act like one when you’re nothing? You have no right to interfere in anything that goes on in this company!”
“I wasn’t interfering, you were indulging me by asking me to sign something ill”
“Shut up!” She yelled and smiled, her lips smeared in red lipstick now sinking in her teeth.
“You just messed with me Lilia and you will pay!” She scattered the files on the table and everything went flying to the floor and dropped her handbag.
“Get this to my car immediately! If I get there before you, you will get a query and write it in fifteen pages before you leave.” She ordered and left.
Using a rare acrobatic skill in me, I expertly packed the papers into a single file and ran after her like a maniac but she was nowhere to be found.
I entered the Elevator to meet a guy whom I knew to be in the Technical department and tried to breathe calmly.
“Sorry!” I muttered when I almost stepped on him and watched the elevator close before us.
A loud smack on my ass jerked me up in surprise and I turned sharply to stare at the idiot.
“Are you insane!” I screamed at him and he scoffed. He was cute no doubt with his green wavy hair and ash eyes that made him look like a fantasy sculpture but he’s a stupid pervert and this is harassment.
“Chill, you’re sexy. Don’t act all saintly, I know it’s you on that video. I saw how you moaned, how he fucked you hard. I’ll pay double, just be nice!”

Lee took over in fury and slammed his head hard other the iron monument of the elevator, he was caught off guard and he yelled in shock and tried to attack back but the Fury in me was stronger than that as I rained punched to his nose and dapped a strong uppercut to his neck hearing a crack.
What dropped next was his body and the elevator door opened with three people waiting in line to join.
