As Alpha Kilian made his way back to his room, he unexpectedly spotted Nelly. Concern flickered across her face when she noticed his troubled expression. “What’s wrong?” she inquired gently.
He looked at her intently. “Nelly, something feels off!”
“What do you mean?” she asked, tilting her head in curiosity.
He studied her closely. “Tony is pretty skilled with computers, right?” Nelly hesitated for a moment before nodding. A shadow crossed Alpha Kilian’s face as his mind raced. After a long pause, he blurted out, “Wait, don’t tell me-Tony is Anonymous!”
Nelly fell silent, her eyes widening in surprise.
Alpha Kilian thought to himself, I knew this secret couldn’t stay hidden forever, but it’s Tony’s job to explain it.
Noticing Nelly’s lack of response, he narrowed his eyes. “Your silence tells me I’m onto something.” She quickly shook her head. “I didn’t say anything!” But her reaction only made him more suspicious.
Tony was undeniably clever. Alpha Kilian had always wondered how Tony became involved with Darknetz. He had planned to ask him about it when he got the chance, but his busy schedule never allowed it. If Tony really was Anonymous, everything would finally make sense.
Why had Tony shown up at the hospital so quickly after Nelly’s trouble? Why did Thalia go to such lengths to protect him? How did he manage to access the information Nelly had sent? And why did he step in when no one else responded to Alpha Kilian’s call for help against the Midnight Fang pack? Most importantly, Tony always reacted strangely whenever Anonymous was mentioned.
Finally, the pieces fell into place for Alpha Kilian.
He had considered this possibility before, but the thought of a top hacker being just a child was hard to accept, even if Tony showed exceptional intelligence.
The idea seemed almost absurd.
A smile crept onto Alpha Kilian’s face as he pondered this revelation. Should I feel relieved or frustrated? This is my son! My cherished son!
His expression was a mix of disbelief and pride.
Given how confident Alpha Kilian was in his theory, it would be nearly impossible for Nelly to change his mind.
After a moment of thought, she suggested, “Why don’t I call Tony in here? You two can sort it out together.”
“There’s no need for that,” he replied curtly. Nelly was taken aback.
He continued, narrowing his eyes. “Since he kept this from me, I won’t go easy on him.” The look in his eyes told her that things were about to get serious.
Just as she considered stepping away, he tightened his grip on her. “Nelly, are you going to warn him?”
“Absolutely not. This is between you and him. I won’t interfere,” she assured him.
Satisfied with her answer, he looked at her closely. “Where are you going, then?”
“I… my stomach feels a bit off.”
“Does it hurt?” he asked, his brow furrowing in concern. She nodded slightly.
Worry etched across his face as he gently laid her back on the bed, making sure she was comfortable. “You should rest. Just wait for me.” He got up to leave immediately.
“Where are you going?” she asked, watching him with concern.
“I’ll be back soon,” he said, leaving without looking back.
She lay there, feeling the discomfort in her stomach but also a sense of warmth from his care.
A few minutes later, Alpha Kilian returned with a mug in his hand. “Here, Nelly. Drink this.”
She sat up, eyeing the mug. “Is this hot chocolate?”
He nodded. “You’ll feel better after you drink it.”
She took the mug from him and sipped cautiously. “It’s just the right temperature. I’ll finish it,” she said, giving him a grateful smile.
After she finished the drink, a warm sensation spread through her stomach, easing the pain.
Seeing her relaxed expression, Alpha Kilian asked, “How do you feel now?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore,” Nelly replied, relief evident in her voice.
A faint smile appeared on Alpha Kilian’s lips as he placed his hand gently on her stomach.
“What are you doing?” she asked, a bit surprised.

Meanwhile, at the Midnight Fang pack, Boss was on a call. After hanging up, Gavin rushed in, looking anxious. “Boss,” he said, his expression serious.
“What’s going on?” Boss asked, putting his phone away.
Without saying a word, Gavin opened his palm to reveal a necklace. Boss picked it up, surprised. “That was quick. Is it fixed?”
“No,” Gavin replied, looking concerned.
Boss frowned at the broken chain. “What do you mean?”
“There’s a chip in the necklace,” Gavin explained.
Boss raised an eyebrow. “A chip? What do you mean?”
“The jeweler found it while fixing it. If it hadn’t been sent for repairs, no one would’ve noticed,” Gavin said, twisting open a small protruding piece to reveal a tiny chip.
Boss examined it closely. “What kind of chip is this? What’s it for? Have you looked into it?”
Gavin nodded. “I had someone investigate it. The expert said it can function as a computer when connected to other components.”
“A computer?” Boss echoed, skeptical. “This tiny thing?”
“It needs to link up to other parts to work properly. Usually, chips like this are used by hackers,” Gavin explained.
Boss’s expression darkened. A hacker…
He stared at the small chip, a thought crossing his mind.
Did someone put this on Nelly intentionally, or could it actually belong to her?
“Gavin,” Boss said suddenly, “you mentioned your daughter got into university, right?”
“Yes,” Gavin replied, slightly confused.
“She sounds smart. Your kids must be pretty clever too, huh?”
“They take after my Luna. She’s very intelligent, but she couldn’t attend university because of family issues. Otherwise, she’d have excelled too.”
Boss nodded. “Do you think intelligence is inherited?”
“Definitely!”
“What about talent?” Boss pressed.
Gavin thought for a moment. “Are you suggesting that Ms. Jackson might have inherited Theodore’s hacking skills?”
“Exactly. You’re sharp,” Boss said, impressed.
Gavin mulled it over. “I’ve never experienced something like this before, so I can’t say for sure. But I believe talent can be passed down.”
“Do you think she got Theodore’s talent for hacking?” Boss asked.
“I’m not certain,” Gavin admitted.
“Look into it. And send this to our hacker team. I want them to investigate this chip and find out where it came from. I need to know the truth!” Boss commanded.
Gavin nodded and took the chip, leaving the room.
Boss’s gaze returned to the necklace on the table, his thoughts swirling.
Memories of his time with Nelly flashed through his mind. He had always wondered why she was so confident.
If his deductions were correct, everything would finally make sense. Could it be true?
As he contemplated this, he felt no anger, only a growing sense of anticipation.
He sensed that she would return to him one day, and that day felt closer than ever.
As his thoughts settled, Boss looked into the distance, a glimmer of hope in his yellow eyes.
Meanwhile, Nelly woke up to find the room empty.
She sat up, relieved to discover her stomach no longer hurt. Remembering how Alpha Kilian had lovingly rubbed her stomach, a smile appeared on her face.
When he shows care, he can be so sweet, it makes me feel all warm inside.
Just as she was about to get out of bed, the door creaked open, and Ben peeked in.
“Hey, Nelly, you’re awake!” he exclaimed.
“Yes, come in!” she replied, smiling at the little boy.
Ben opened the door wider and stepped inside.
Before she could stand, he rushed over and handed her slippers. Nelly chuckled at his thoughtfulness. “Are you feeling better now?” he asked.
“Yes, much better!” she said, feeling grateful for his kindness.
