Book:Alpha King's pregnant Ex-Luna Published:2024-12-12

As Alpha Kilian made his way back to his room, he unexpectedly ran into Nelly. The moment she noticed his gloomy expression, her concern immediately surfaced. “What’s bothering you?” she asked gently, her voice soft and caring.
“Nothing’s wrong,” Alpha Kilian replied curtly, trying to brush past her. However, his tone gave away his irritation, sounding much like a child throwing a tantrum when they don’t get their way.
Nelly raised an eyebrow in surprise. Just a few days ago, he had been quite attached to her, showing affection and warmth. So, what had caused this sudden change in his mood? Puzzled and concerned, she decided to follow him. “Are you upset?” she asked again, hoping for a clearer answer.
“No,” he stated flatly, his tone dismissive and unyielding.
Nelly paused for a moment, contemplating his response. After a short while, she nodded, pretending to accept his answer. “Alright, if that’s how you feel,” she said, turning to leave, not wanting to push him further if he didn’t want to talk.
However, Alpha Kilian furrowed his brow at her nonchalant reply and quickly reached out to grab her arm.
Turning back to face him, she met his intense gaze and frowned. “What’s the matter? Is there something else on your mind?” she asked, genuinely curious.
Frustration filled Alpha Kilian as he looked at her, feeling overwhelmed. Suddenly, he pulled her closer, pinning her against the wall. His heart raced in a way he couldn’t control, and he could see the innocence shining in her eyes. “What’s eating at you, Alpha Morris?” she asked, her voice now filled with concern.
“Is it really that hard to calm me down when you know I’m upset?” he questioned, his voice low but oddly captivating, almost drawing her in.
“In that case, shouldn’t you explain what’s wrong in the first place?” she teased playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she blinked at him.
As they locked eyes, Alpha Kilian felt a surge of desire rising within him. He wanted to claim her completely, to ensure that no one else could ever take her away from him. With a dark look in his eye, he leaned closer, his strong body pressing against her softness. “Nelly, I’m tired of waiting for you to understand!” he declared, his voice filled with urgency.
In her surprise, Nelly didn’t know how to react. He lowered his head and kissed her passionately, but when she instinctively pushed him away, he quickly caught her wrists and pinned them above her head.
“Mmm…” she let out, caught between surprise and excitement.
He wrapped his arms around her slender waist, lifting her slightly as he drew her closer. The sweetness of her lips intoxicated him, and slowly, the frustrations he had felt earlier began to fade away.
After what felt like an eternity, he finally broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. He looked deep into her eyes, emotions swirling within him like a storm. Nelly clung to him, breathless and wide-eyed, feeling overwhelmed.
“Nelly, can I?” he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I…” she hesitated, her eyes darting away as if searching for the right words. “This isn’t the right time…” She couldn’t meet his gaze, feeling the weight of the moment pressing down on her.
It took a second for Alpha Kilian to understand what she meant, and disappointment flickered in his eyes at her response. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, sensing the struggle he was facing.
With no other option, he held her tightly against him, resting his chin on the top of her head, needing to be close to her as if he wanted to merge their souls into one.
Nelly simply nestled into his embrace, feeling safe and cherished in his strong arms.
After a while, he broke the silence that hung between them. “Nelly, don’t you have anything to say to me?” he asked, looking down at her.
She shook her head, indicating that she didn’t have anything to say.
He frowned, confused and a bit frustrated. “Don’t you want to know why I was upset?” he pressed, hoping to get her to open up.
At his question, Nelly looked up, resting her chin on his chest. After a moment of thought, she nodded slowly. “I do want to know.”
“Then why didn’t you ask me?” Alpha Kilian’s eyes glinted with curiosity, eager to share his feelings.
“What’s bothering you?” she prompted gently, encouraging him to open up.
He stared at her, feeling a mix of frustration and affection for her. If he didn’t know her so well, her lack of directness might have driven him mad with confusion.
Taking a deep breath, he asserted, “Nelly, you must be doing this on purpose!”
“What do you mean?” she asked, genuinely confused by his accusation.
He lowered his gaze, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside him. “You’re intentionally teasing me!”
Nelly narrowed her eyes playfully, a smile tugging at her lips. “What makes you think that?”
Looking straight into her dark eyes, he asked a straightforward question, “Nelly, is he the reason you haven’t reconciled with me yet?”
Confusion washed over her. “Who are you talking about?” she asked, genuinely puzzled.
“Anonymous,” he answered, his voice firm.
Suddenly, everything clicked into place for Nelly. “Do you have feelings for him?” she thought, her heart racing.
Of course, she did! He meant a lot to her, but she kept this to herself, knowing revealing it would expose Tony’s identity and complicate everything.
Her silence, however, was seen by Alpha Kilian as an affirmation of his doubts. A bittersweet smile crossed his lips as he realized what it meant. “I see now.”
Feeling his disappointment, she tried to ease the tension between them. “Alpha Kilian, it’s more complicated than you think,” she explained, hoping to clarify her feelings.
