“Have you heard of the Nightshade Clan?” Sanaa asked.
“I’ve only heard the name,” Billy replied.
“A long time ago, the Nightshade Clan was the absolute ruler of the eighth-tier star domain,” Sanaa began.
“However, due to some special reasons, they gradually fell into silence. In recent tens of thousands of years, their name has rarely been mentioned.”
“But anyone who has heard of the Nightshade Clan would never ignore their existence.”
“After all, at their peak, ten Dark Courts combined couldn’t match them!”
“So strong?” Billy was slightly surprised.
“Yes!” Sanaa nodded and continued.
“The Nightshade Clan had a powerful battalion named Demonic Ghost.”
“The leader of Demonic Ghost was called Ghost King, the second strongest in the Nightshade Clan after the clan leader.”
“Back then, the Nightshade Clan had nearly a million members, but only two people and one item could command Demonic Ghost. The two people were the clan leader and Ghost King, and the item was the Demonic Token!”
“With the Demonic Token in hand, even outsiders could command Demonic Ghost.”
“Additionally, it’s said that Demonic Ghost was sealed in a different space within Shadowfen Depths, and only this token can open that space.”
“Are the other members of the Nightshade Clan also in that different space?” Billy asked.
“No, the others are in Shadowfen Depths,” Sanaa replied. “But the entrance and exit of Shadowfen Depths are protected by an array. Without breaking the array, no one can enter or leave.”
“Understood!” Billy nodded slightly and continued to ask.
“Miss Sanaa, you mean Ghost King and Demonic Ghost are still around, and Dark Court wants to use the Demonic Token to command them?”
“It’s uncertain if Ghost King is still alive, but Demonic Ghost definitely is!” Sanaa nodded.
“If Demonic Ghost is really that strong, can Dark Court truly command them with just a token?” Billy asked again.
“Uncertain!” Sanaa shook her head. “At least that’s what Dark Court believes!”
“Haven’t they tried before?” Billy asked.
“Dark Court’s goal is to unify the entire eighth-tier star domain. Their plan is to first consolidate external forces before dealing with the major sects within Abyssal Depths,” Sanaa replied.
“And with Dark Court’s strength, as long as they don’t antagonize Abyssal Clan for now, they don’t need external help.”
“So until today, they haven’t contacted Nightshade Clan. Of course, it could also be that they weren’t ready to release Demonic Ghost yet!”
“Understood!” Billy nodded and continued to ask, “Why is the Demonic Token in Dark Court’s hands?”
“When Nightshade Clan had their incident, the token was obtained by an ancient force. Later, that force was completely annihilated, with no survivors!” Sanaa explained.
“Recently, there were rumors that it was Dark Court’s Hall Lord who wiped out that ancient force!”
“I see!” Billy nodded. “Miss Sanaa, why do you want this token?”
“If Nightshade Clan makes a comeback, it will be a disaster for the entire eighth-tier star domain!” Sanaa replied.
“Back then, nearly ten million people died at their hands!”
“Understood!” Billy responded.
Hearing this, he finally understood the matter of the Demonic Token!
“Miss Sanaa, there’s another thing. How can you awaken the divine consciousness within Fury Blade?” Billy recalled. “Can you teach me…”
“No!” Sanaa interrupted him. “It’s not time yet; you’ll know in the future!”
“Alright!” Billy’s mouth twitched slightly; he knew it wouldn’t be that easy.
“Miss Sanaa, where are we going now?” Billy looked at Sanaa and asked.
“First back to Shadowfen City!” Sanaa thought for a moment and replied. “Then we’ll go to Shadowfen Depths to see what’s going on with Nightshade Clan!”
After speaking, she took Billy and flew away.
Shortly after they left, two other figures entered Dark Court’s headquarters from that door; they were Kallie Lowery and Sage from Abyssal Clan.
About two moments later, they reappeared at the entrance.
“They really surprised me; even Dark Court’s four Ancestor avatars couldn’t stop them!” Kallie Lowery said while staring ahead.
After a slight pause, she looked at Sage and said, “Inform our people to release two pieces of news.”
“First, all high-end combat power of Dark Court has fallen; Dark Court is virtually extinct!”
“Second, the Demonic Token was indeed in Dark Court but has now been taken by Miss Sanaa and Billy. They fought with Dark Court and are injured!”
“Understood!” Sage was slightly stunned before taking out a Mystic Echo Stone.
After giving instructions, he looked back at Kallie Lowery and asked.
“Miss Kallie, what’s the next plan? They have taken the Demonic Token and will likely head to Shadowfen Depths. If they control Demonic Ghost…”
“Wait a moment; I’ll send a message to my father!” Kallie Lowery thought for a moment and replied.
Soon after, she put away the Mystic Echo Stone and said, “To Shadowfen City!”
“Alright!” Sage nodded.
Meanwhile, Sanaa and Billy were already rushing towards Shadowfen City at full speed.
“Miss Sanaa, news about Dark Court should have spread by now. Many people will likely target us.”
That day, after exiting the teleportation channel and flying to a starry sky ten thousand miles away from Shadowfen City, Billy spoke up.
“Be confident; remove ‘likely’ from your statement!” Sanaa said calmly. “Someone is already here!”
As soon as she finished speaking, a violent aura swept over from the horizon.
Soon after, a group of about ten people appeared within their sight. Leading them was an old man with white hair and beard.
Billy released his spiritual power to roughly probe their cultivation levels and squinted slightly.
All ten were in the middle to late stages of Mystic Kun Realm. The strongest was the white-haired old man at ninth-rank Mystic Kun Realm!
Besides him, there were two eighth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivators, four seventh-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivators, and three sixth-rank Mystic Kun Realm cultivators!
Billy could tell that these people were not from the same force.
“Are you Miss Sanaa and Mr. Billy?” The white-haired old man asked as they approached.
“State your name!” Sanaa glanced at them.
“Cloud Valley, Jonathan Lopez. It’s an honor to meet you both!” The white-haired old man replied.
“Cloud Valley usually doesn’t involve itself in external conflicts. Are you here to stir up trouble this time?” Sanaa squinted her eyes.
“Miss Sanaa is right; Cloud Valley usually stays away from fame and fortune,” Jonathan Lopez replied.
“But the Nightshade Clan concerns the safety of the entire eighth-tier star domain. As a member of this star domain, Cloud Valley has an obligation and responsibility to intervene.”
“So tell me, how do you want to intervene?” Sanaa asked.
