“Greetings, Ancestor!” Romeo Osborn bowed towards the four shadowy figures in the distance.
“Why have you summoned me? Has something major happened in the Dark Court?” one of the figures asked.
“Ancestor,” Romeo Osborn continued bowing, then pointed towards Sanaa and Billy. “These two intend to destroy our Dark Court. I had no choice but to summon you. Please, Ancestor, help us survive this calamity!”
“Why do they want to attack the Dark Court?” another figure asked.
“They demanded I hand over the Demonic Token. When I refused, they attacked,” Romeo Osborn responded.
Hearing this, Billy finally understood what Sanaa wanted from them. The Demonic Token was evidently related to the Nightshade Clan.
“Do you want the Demonic Token?” one of the figures asked the two.
“Are you unwilling to give it up?” Sanaa asked.
“Do you have anything to exchange for it?” the figure continued.
“Hand over the Demonic Token, and the Dark Court will be spared from annihilation. Is that enough?” Billy replied on behalf of Sanaa.
“Arrogant!” The figure glanced at the two.
After a brief pause, he looked at Billy. “A mere seventh-rank Controlled Kun Realm dares to cause trouble here? Do you think all the members of the Dark Court are dead?”
“Ancestor, that guy is a bit tricky. Be careful!” Romeo Osborn warned.
After speaking, he seemed to remember something and added, “By the way, he has the Nine Dragons Cauldron and three volumes of the Heaven Book!”
“Is that so?” The figure was taken aback. “In that case, leave both the person and the items here!”
“Are you sure you want to fight?” Sanaa asked.
“You have one last chance. Hand over the token willingly, and the Dark Court will be spared. If you choose to fight, there will be no more Dark Court in the Abyssal Depths!”
“Such arrogance!” The figure responded coldly. “Since you choose death, we will oblige!”
As his words fell, a black iron chain detached from two pillars and swiftly swept towards them.
“I’ll try!” Billy said in a deep voice.
As he spoke, a Slaughter Sky slash was unleashed.
After a loud noise, Billy was sent flying several thousand meters back.
The chain, unaffected by the shockwave, returned to its original position without a single scratch.
Seeing this, Billy’s pupils narrowed slightly.
That Slaughter Sky slash could kill a sixth-rank Mystic Kun Realm, yet it couldn’t cut through a single chain!
“Miss Sanaa, these chains might be reinforced with formations. Give me some time; I’ll try…” Billy began.
“No need for such trouble!” Sanaa interrupted him. “Take out those four figures, and the formation will break naturally!”
As she spoke, she dashed towards one of the figures and said in a deep voice, “Don’t fight head-on; dodge!”
Whoosh! Whoosh! As she spoke, four chains swept towards them from different directions.
Sanaa quickly dodged the chains.
Billy also avoided them this time, using his Nether Wings to dodge and then quickly charged towards one side of the cube.
There were large gaps between the chains; he wanted to see if he could get out.
As he moved, Billy swung another Slaughter Sky slash towards one of the gaps.
The blade light hit the gap without obstruction, creating ripples but nothing more; the slash couldn’t get through.
After one slash, aside from causing a slight tremor in the cube space, there was no other reaction.
Undoubtedly, all six sides of the cube were covered by barriers.
Meanwhile, Sanaa’s thin sword slashed an arc-shaped sword light towards one of the figures.
“Overestimating yourself!” The four figures spoke simultaneously.
As they spoke, two of them attacked the sword light while the other two struck at Sanaa.
Boom! After two loud noises, the sword light dissipated halfway through its path.
Sanaa was sent flying five or six thousand meters to the side. Her expression changed slightly, her breath a bit disordered but otherwise unharmed.
“I underestimated you!” One of the figures remarked.
“Is this all the strength of the Dark Court’s Ancestors?” Sanaa retorted.
“You’ll soon see our true strength!” The figure responded coldly.
Whoosh! Whoosh! As he spoke, three chains swept out from each of the six sides of the cube towards them.
Sanaa and Billy didn’t attack but dodged again.
However, after returning to their original positions, the eighteen chains didn’t pause and swept out again in an instant.
The four figures didn’t attack either; they just channeled powerful mental energy into the four pillars while watching Sanaa and Billy dodge the chains.
“Miss Sanaa, this isn’t working,” Billy said after dodging a chain.
If they kept dodging like this, their true energy would soon be exhausted, and they would be captured easily.
Of course, for him, there was another way: he and Sanaa could hide in the Nine Dragons Cauldron together and be completely safe.
However, that clearly wasn’t their style.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Before he finished speaking, all the chains on the six sides of the cube swept out simultaneously, filling the entire space with chain shadows.
Billy was hit hard on his back by a chain and was sent flying forward.
Before he could fly far, another chain hit him from the front, sending him flying backward again.
Fortunately, his physical resilience was strong enough that he wasn’t injured despite being hit.
Without wasting any time, he activated his Nether Wings and dodged a chain coming from his left side.
“Give me your sword!” Sanaa said after repelling over ten chains with a wave of her hand.
“Alright!” Billy hesitated for a moment before handing over his sword.
“You four old fools made a grave mistake today. This mistake will lead to the Dark Court’s exit from the Abyssal Depths!” Sanaa declared loudly after receiving the sword.
“Ignorant!” One of the figures responded coldly. “Say that again when you can get out of here!”
“You’ll see soon enough!” Sanaa replied confidently.
As she spoke, a surge of mental energy flashed from her forehead into the sword’s hilt as she chanted incantations.
Soon, the sword turned blood-red, enveloped in a layer of blood-colored flames.
In an instant, a powerful thunderbolt shot out from the sword’s blade, tearing through space with a terrifying force.
The thunderbolt struck one side of the cube’s barrier without much suspense; it tore open a crack several thousand meters wide instantly.
But it wasn’t over yet. Almost simultaneously with the thunderbolt’s appearance, Bloodshadow Fury Blade flew out of Sanaa’s hand towards one of the elder’s figures in front of her left side.
“Hmm?” Seeing this, Billy was taken aback.
This scene seemed familiar!
Back then, in the seventh-tier star domain, he encountered someone named Duskreaper. Just as he was about to fall into despair, his sword broke free from his control and severed one of Duskreaper’s limbs on its own.
That was his first time witnessing Bloodshadow Fury Blade having its own consciousness!
Today was the second time!
However, last time it acted on its own accord; this time, it was clear that Sanaa had awakened its consciousness through some method.
This made him very curious. It seemed that Sanaa understood this sword better than he did!
