Chapter 383: Did you make a move on your dad?

Book:Wrong Invitation For My Mr Right Published:2024-12-11

Last time, before he even saw a shadow of his scumbag father, he was taken away!
Jake was not someone to be trifled with.
“Ding-”
A message popped up on his phone.
B7: [Did you make a move on your dad?]
Jake smirked and replied, [Mm-hmm! Master, you’ll help me, right?]
B7: [You sure know how to stir up trouble, giving me a task as big as W Group! If it weren’t for you begging me, this job would cost at least fifty million.]
[I’m your last disciple, aren’t I?]
Jake added a tongue-out emoji at the end.
B7 immediately blacked out the chat window.
Jake knew this meant his master had agreed. He was always elusive, but when Jake needed help, he never hesitated.

With Malcolm around, Rosalind finally dared to let herself get drunk.
Worried that no one would take care of her, Malcolm didn’t drink much; it was all her.
This time, he didn’t stop her.
How many times can one get drunk in life?
When feeling this miserable, why not get drunk once?
“Why do I feel so bad? Tell me, why do I feel bad? What right do I have to feel bad!”
On the way back to the hotel, Rosalind clung to Malcolm’s clothes, asking repeatedly.
“This isn’t about rights. And why wouldn’t you have the right?” You bore two children for Ulric; you have every right.
But Malcolm didn’t say the last part.
Seeing Rosalind pour out all her thoughts under the influence of alcohol made him feel less worried.
At the hotel, Malcolm tried to help her inside, but Rosalind waved him off.
“I don’t want to go back to that room. It’s dark. I want to sit here for a while.”
“Alright, I’ll stay with you.” Malcolm went into the hotel and brought out two chairs. “Sit here; the ground is cold.”
Rosalind nodded, obedient like a child.
Malcolm didn’t say much more and remained a listener.
He watched her close her eyes and saw tears fall silently from her eyes. He took out tissues and gently wiped them away.
“We’re over. We were over long ago.”
“I made my choice when we divorced! Isn’t this what I wanted?”
“But it really hurts. It hurts here!” Rosalind clutched her chest and said slowly, “I can’t truly bless him and another woman. I thought I could!”
Malcolm sighed softly. “Slowly, time will heal everything.”
“Really?” Rosalind looked at him with eyes full of hope that time could heal her and make her forget Ulric. “Can I completely erase him from my mind?”
“You can if you try moving forward.”
“I can’t move forward; I’m carrying too much.” Rosalind glanced at him. “I don’t think I’m that drunk; I’m still very clear-headed.”
She wanted to be so drunk that she wouldn’t feel pain and could just close her eyes and sleep.
Malcolm paused. “Should I go buy more alcohol?”
Tonight, she could drink as much as she wanted.
“Sure, let’s drink more.” Rosalind agreed readily.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight.
Malcolm got up to go to the nearby supermarket. Rosalind sat alone near the hotel entrance, watching the cars on the street gradually decrease and people occasionally passing by.
The alcohol only slowed her movements; her mind was still clear!
Suddenly, her phone rang.
Rosalind looked down to see it was Lion calling.
At this hour, what did he want?
After hesitating for a moment, Rosalind answered the call.
“Rosalind, are you in Northville City?!”
“… How do you know?”
“Johnny said he just drove by and saw you! Saw you hugging a man and entering a hotel!”
