Angel
I noticed Louisa taking Thea out of the hall, I had decided to endure however she decided to treat me, I deserved that but this didn’t settle well with me, especially seeing how she had been dragging Thea the entire evening.
I was alert, I knew Louisa wasn’t innocent. She would take Thea away from me if she could so I followed her after a while of contemplating.
I couldn’t sight them in the hall so I followed my instinct. I began calling Thea but she wasn’t picking up. I was getting worried by the second and my search intensified. I had searched for a while untill I started hearing it ring close by and right at the same time I heard a heel clicking towards me.
I still held the phone in my hand when I raised my eyes to see Louisa watching me with Thea’s phone in her hand. I pulled my phone down from my ear slowly as I watched her as well. Curiosity getting the best of me seeing that she had Thea’s phone and purse in her hand.
“Louisa….” i called taking some steps forward with my eyes keen on her. She had this nonchalant expression, one that made me scared for what she might have done. “Why are you with Thea’s phone.” I asked feeling the words shake as they made their way through my lips. Her lips curved into a sneer, then in a matter of seconds, it was gone and she wore a mean face now.
“Can’t you leave my daughter for one minute? Is that how much you control her life?” She asked, her voice a mixture of anger and hate. I clenched my jaw, my heart beating hard against my chest. I was really scared to know what she must have done with Thea. I wouldn’t let it pass by me that she was capable of doing something cunny.
“I don’t know what your plans are Louisa but if it involves taking Thea against her will I won’t let you….”
“All of a sudden you’re a saint, a hero?” She said cutting me off then she erupted into a laugh of mockery. She stopped abruptly and her face squeezed into a frown. “You took my daughter away from me for over a year. How did it feel to watch me suffer Angel?” She asked, her disgust for me oozing from her tone. I couldn’t say anything, I was just speechless.
“There’s nothing I can do to make up for it Louisa but can we not do this to Thea again? Can we let her live her life on her own terms?” I pleaded with her, my words were most sincere.
“Really?” She scoffed and shook her head as if she were amazed at my audacity. “So now she’s a human being with a choice? I thought we were kidnapping her. I mean, taking turns doing that.” Her words struck me and my eyes widened in fear.
“Don’t tell me….”
“That she’s somewhere else, away from you? Where you’d never see her?”
“Louisa!” I yelled getting angry.
“So what if I did that? What are you going to do now?”
“Where is Thea?” I was getting increasingly frustrated and desperate. She chuckled clearly enjoying my anger and frustration.
“Goodluck finding her.” She simply said and began to walk away. Instinctively I grabbed her arms and her eyes widened in shock.
“Thea would not forgive you if you make her go through such experience.” I said through gritted teeth. I was trying hard to keep my temper down.
“How do you know that?” She countered, a tone of certainty coating her voice. “She forgave you after all. Besides, I’m her mother. I bet it’d be easier to forgive me.” She said and I knew she was right. Somehow I was hoping that wouldn’t be the case, because then I could use it to stop her from doing what she wanted with Thea. If Thea could still love and forgive me after everything, Louisa would have it easier.
I didn’t realize how tight I had been gripping Louisa untill she winced in pain. I released her hand, feeling bad for treating her that way.
“I’m sorry.” I apologized. “… But I can’t promise to behave if you truly took Thea against her will.” Louisa stared at me for a moment. Her expression filled with hate then she smiled suddenly.
“I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.” She said and moved closer to me then whispered into my ear. “You’ll find her at the rooftop…. Monster.” Her last word hit me hard. Her despise unhidden. I felt like she had stabbed my heart. I deserved this but why did it hurt this way? Maybe because I really wanted Louisa to accept me and accept my relationship with Thea. I knew Louisa meant a lot to Thea and her acceptance would also make her happy but I didn’t see that happening.
Louisa brushed against my shoulder and walked away. I didn’t look back, I moved forward though her words still stung me. I took the elevator up to the rooftop. The door opened and I had been really curious as to what Thea was doing on the rooftop alone. Why did Louisa take her there? When the door finally opened, I found Thea surprisingly moving in my direction, she was about leaving but who was that man behind her? My gaze was severely curious, the realization that she was here with another man for what ever reason got me stirred up. I was angry and Jealous and all these emotions heightened when I saw who it was. I was shocked beyond expression. How was he here?
_________
Thea
I was in shock when I almost bumped into Angel, he looked disappointed and also in disbelieve then he chuckled bitterly. His expression full of hurt.
I wanted to explain things to him but my lips kept parting and shutting back up.
“Tell me you didn’t agree to this.” He said, his voice breaking out.
“I didn’t know.” I managed a whisper.
“Then why are you alone with him? Why isn’t your mum here with the both of you?” He said raising his voice but there was something else to his tone. I scoffed feeling slightly disappointed. We didn’t need to go through this again. I understood his temper was controlling the way he spoke but I didn’t appreciate the fact that his tone was suggestive about me and Alfred. That I was willing to speak with Alfred behind his back.
“I understand you’re mad at me right now but allow me to explain. You know I wouldn’t just agree to this.”
“So you let your mum manipulate you into accepting this.” He mocked.
“It’s not Thea’s fault.” Alfred said. I didn’t need him interfering too. That would piss off Angel the more. I was right because his eyes went twice darker with anger.
“Alfred don’t butt in.” I quickly said and turned to Angel.
“Let’s talk and I hope you try to understand. I don’t want you to act rash about this.”
“Act rash? Can’t you tell what your mum is trying to do here Thea?”
“You can’t blame me for letting her do it. I’m just trying to make up for everything to her.”
“This isn’t the right way to go about it.” He was right but my hands were tied.
“I needed to make things clear to Alfred too…” I said. “Lets talk somewhere private.” I took Angel’s hand to lead him away seeing he wasn’t saying anything now but Alfred grabs my hand stopping me from moving further.
“What is wrong with you?” I scolded but before Alfred could respond
Angel attacked him, grabbing his collar and throwing him to the ground. Alfred stood up immediately groaning his way up.
“Angel!” I yell hoping to stop him from causing more harm. Did it have to resort to violence? “Let him go now!” I yelled while he still held Alfred. He let’s him go panting deeply. His anger was visible.
“Is this whom you love? A violent man?” Alfred said wiping the dirt off his face.
“I’ll punch you till you bleed to death if I hear one more word spill from your mouth.” Angel threatened.
“Angel?” I called. He wasn’t the type to bluff about things like this but I wasn’t going to let him do that to Alfred.
“You must be crazy.” Alfred cursed, getting annoyed as well. “You must have some guts to speak to me like that. You have no idea who I am.” He yelled.
“No one cares who you are Alfred so just shut it! And Angel control yourself!” I yelled at the both of them. The both men remained quiet but then the elevator door opened and my mum came in view. My face dropped quickly realizing things. She was behind it all.
“Really mum?” I was disappointed knowing she was behind Angel coming here. She stepped out of the elevator and came in front of me then she said, “can we talk privately…. Please?”
