Aiden’s POV
Was she missing us? Was she getting enough sleep and food? We tried our hardest not to think about her while we were on the mission, but it was impossible because she was always on our minds, and our father suspected us because we weren’t always listening when they were making plans. We wanted this to be over with as soon as possible.
Our Lycans were missing their mate. We had missed her. We missed everything about her: her flawless face, her beautiful smile, the way she spoke.
“What if she is dating? What if she now has a boyfriend?” Parker inquired.
“Enough. Stop imagining things that will never happen. She will never betray us.”
“Did you forget she isn’t our girlfriend yet? Talk more about mating with her. We never had a chance to confess our feelings to her, and it’s been two weeks since she last saw us,” my Lycan reminded me.
“Ethan, what if we come back and find out that Ava already has a boyfriend? What should we do?” I asked him, my voice tense.
He frowned. “What do you mean, Aiden? That doesn’t even need to be asked. If she gets herself a boyfriend, we’ll kill him and claim back our mate.”
“It’s easier said than done. She will forever see us as a monster. She will never forgive or accept us, so we can’t do it, Ethan. Let’s think of another way to deal with this,” I suggested.
“Who said she’d betray us or have a boyfriend? I don’t understand you.”
“No one. Just what if she eventually gets a boyfriend before we get the chance to go back to school? We don’t even know when we’ll get a hint about what’s going on in our pack.”
“Then, put your imagination away, bro. All we have to do now is to get to work. We must do whatever it takes to find out who is frightening our pack, so that we can return to our mate. I bet she misses as much as we miss her, so chill, brother. No one is snatching our mate away from us. No one,” he declared.
“Okay, we need to work hard,” I agreed with a nod. “I will have to excuse myself. I need to go to bed early.”
“All right, brother. Good night,” Ethan said.
I walked up to my room. I took off my clothes and lay on the bed. I fell asleep within minutes. I was spent and exhausted.
Aiden’s Dreams.
I was lusting after and fantasizing about my mate. She squatted down just enough for her lips to touch mine, engulfing them. I closed my eyes as I hungrily kissed and sucked on her lips.

I clasped her tender waist before heaving her closer to my chest, and as I began to notice fluffy kisses on her neckline, I earned another moan from her, prompting me to relinquish control.
Her body shuddered under my touch. I was satisfied when I smelled her desire and lust in the atmosphere.
“Aiden,” she groaned. “Can I make you cum?”
I nodded as she grasped my shaft, making my Lycan howl with delight.
I was lusting after my mate when I felt an unknown pair of hands grab my shaft. It was different from my mate. I was only half awake when I sniffed the scent, a terrible fragrance that belonged to no one but Anna. She was sucking on my shaft. I jumped to my feet and gripped her by the inlet.

“I-It’s me, Aiden. It’s Anna,” she struggled to say as I tightened my fist around her neck.
“So what if it’s you? What are you doing here? What do you want?” I asked her, growing impatient as my blood boiled with resentment.
“Nothing. Please let me go!” she begged me.
I nudged her to the wall. She coughed out painfully and clutched her neck.
“A-Aiden,” she mumbled, her voice weak. “Why are you doing this? Did I make a mistake?”
“You have done nothing wrong, Anna. I’m just no longer interested in fucking your cunt again,” I said flatly.
“But, Aiden, this isn’t how we started. This is not you. I know you love me, and you’ve always been gentle with me,” she said. “Where did everything go wrong?”
“You know I love you? Can you stop kidding me? Can you stop imagining things? I don’t love you, and this is me. I told you I don’t want to be involved in any kind of relationship. All I need is a sex buddy. I told you from the first day you told me you were in love with me, and you agreed to be my sex partner, and that is the main reason I accepted your proposal. “Despite all of my love and care, you never loved me after all these years. I love you, Aiden. Please don’t do this to me! Don’t whirl me into a laughingstock all over the pack,” she sobbed, begging me.
“You are the cause of everything. You make them know about our hidden relationship. You’re too greedy. I know you don’t love me. All you care for is to be the Lycan Queen. Sorry, bitch, but I ruined your plans. Get out of here before I lose control of my Lycan!” I yelled angrily at her. She became terrified and bolted from my room.
