“Yes Mum,” they nodded in agreement.
“Well done, boys.” She gave a smirk, reached out for their heads, and gave them a pat on their heads.
“Ouch, mummy!” Leo screamed. Ella quickly rushed to where he was, pulling his legs towards her and checking thoroughly if he had any bruises; Leo had dashed his foot against a stone.

“You would have been more careful.” She looked at the boy, her face revealing how much worry she had.
“Mum, it’s nothing; I am fine,” Leo added; he gave his mum a wink, trying to cheer her up, as she had overworked herself over something unnecessary.

Liam who had been a spectator, stood there, grinning. He ran into his mum’s embrace, and Leo followed suit.
It was a very emotional moment for Ella and her boys, people kept throwing glances at them as they passed. They hadn’t even realized, how much time they had spent.
“Oh my boys, I will be late for work, if I am still clogged into your embrace,” she added, even as she gently pushed herself from their firm grip.

She opened the car to retrieve their launch parks as they moved briskly to the front desk.
The school was enormous and well-structured, inside the school was a hive of activity.
The school doors open automatically.
They approached and the bustling sounds of the morning rush greeted them–students chatting, lockers slamming, teachers directing traffic in hallways.
The registrar welcomed them with a warm smile. She was a tall, dark woman with a slender figure.
She looked at the boys accompanying the lady in front of her. Their eyes skimmed through the school premises; there were a lot of kids around, waiting to be enrolled into the school, and some were dropped by both parents.
“You will like it here.” She smiled at them convincingly, as though she read their thoughts.
She brought out the form for new intakes,
Ella quickly reached out for it, as she filled the form.
There was a space left to append the father’s signatory; she gave a hard stern frolicking with her pen as she went into memory lane, envisioning how she would have walked majestically with Ethan and her twin to do the registration.
Out of the blue, she wished she wasn’t doing this alone; taking responsibility for her boys had taken a lot from her.
Most times, she just needed to act up as though everything was fine, even though it washed, seeing that other women came with their partners destabilized her.
The registrar knocked lightly on the counter to draw her attention as she was lost.
She sighed and shrugged her shoulders, appending her signatory as both the father and mother of her boys; after all, she had been the one taking responsibility for them.
She handed the form over to the registrar, who quickly made a phone call to their classroom teacher.
Before Ella left, she knelt to Leo and Liam’s level. Looking directly into their eyes.
“Remember, it’s okay to be nervous. Just familiarize yourself with the environment and be open-minded, taking everything one step at a time; in no time, before you know it, this place will feel like home.
They both nodded, though their eyes were wide as they took in their new surroundings.
Just then, Mrs Juliet appeared, a tall, friendly woman with a gentle smile. She waved to Ella from end to end.
“Hi, ma! I’m Mrs Juliet. I will be their classroom teacher.”
Ella returned the nice gesture with a warm smile, instructing the teacher on what to do and how they were new to the environs.
Mrs. Juliet bent down to greet the twin. “I am so excited to have you in my class. We’re going to have a lot of fun. Ready to go meet your new classmates?” She said softly, holding out her hand.
They both hesitated for a moment, then took her hand and looked back at her mother. Ella gave an encouraging nod, trying so hard to fight the overwhelming emotions.
“I will see you after school, okay?”
“Okay, mum.” They retorted, their voices more confident now as they turned and walked away with Mrs. Juliet.
Ella stood there for a moment, watching them go, she had always dreamt of this moment.
After leaving the school, Ella drove through the city, her mind swirling with thoughts of her first day in a new school.
But as she approached the towering glass building where her new office was located, she forced herself to focus on the task at hand. As she had piles of activities to take care of. Today was her boy’s first day at a new school -it was hers, too.
She parked in the underground garage, took a deep breath, and stepped out into the cool air. The entrance to global fashion was sleek and modern, with a polished silver sign that gleamed in the morning light.
Samantha adjusted her blazer, smoothed her skirt, and walked in.
The lobby was spacious, with high ceilings and minimalist decor. A sleek reception desk sat at the center, where a young woman with a bright smile greeted her.
“Good morning! You must be Ella?” The receptionist said, glancing at her screen. “Welcome to Global Fusion, ma. The heads of operations will be meeting you shortly to show you around.”
Ella smiled, trying to hide her nerves. “Thank you.” She reached out to take a sit, as she waited, she looked around, taking in the buzz of activity.
“Ms. Ella.” A deep voice interrupted her thoughts.
She turned to see a tall man with sandy hair and an easy smile approaching her.
“Welcome onboard,” he said in a snap smiling from chin to chin.
She shook his hand, relieved by his friendly demeanor.” Thank you, sir. It’s a pleasure to be here.”

He walked her down to her office and introduced her to her team. They walked through the office, and Adam explained the layout and the different departments ***
