As the voice rang out, a massive phantom hand descended on Billy like a mountain, blocking out the sun.
Billy had no time to dodge and instinctively drew a blade light to meet it.
The blade light was instantly obliterated by the phantom hand.
Billy fell from mid-air, crashing into the ground and creating a large pit. He lay there, his breath weak.
Soon, Sonny Joseph arrived with a group of people.
“Mr. Billy, you truly live up to your reputation as a prodigy,” Sonny Joseph said calmly.
His words carried no sarcasm. He had heard that Billy had killed an opponent in the third-rank Mystic Kun Realm at Soul Valley, so he had some expectations. The recent battle confirmed Billy’s strength.
A fourth-rank Controlled Kun Realm holding out against several Mystic Kun Realm opponents for so long was a miracle.
“I admit defeat. Just give me a quick end,” Billy said, climbing out of the pit.
“I have a suggestion, Mr. Billy. Would you consider it?” Sonny Joseph asked calmly.
“If you stay in Shadow Hall, I can arrange a good position for you.”
“You want the Nine Dragons Cauldron, don’t you?” Billy wiped the blood from his mouth. “With Heaven’s Scourge approaching, you want me in Shadow Hall to use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to help you survive?”
“I heard that while you can’t use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to fight, you can open its space. Is that true?” Sonny Joseph didn’t deny it.
“Do you want to see for yourself?” Billy asked.
“Not today. Maybe next time…” Sonny Joseph smiled, then paused, frowning slightly as he took out a sound transmission stone and listened.
After putting away the stone, he looked at Billy. “Consider what I said?”
He then turned to Lawrence Joseph, a fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm elder. “Elder Lawrence, I have something to handle. Please take Mr. Billy to Shadow Tower. I’ll join you later.”
“Understood,” Lawrence Joseph nodded.
“Mr. Billy, see you later!” Sonny Joseph said before leaving with others.
“Mr. Billy, please,” Lawrence Joseph said to Billy.
Soon, they arrived at Shadow Tower. The five-story tower covered two to three thousand square meters and was surrounded by a barrier.
Shadow Tower was protected by a formation; without breaking it, no one could enter or leave.
“Elder Lawrence!” The guards bowed at the same time.
Lawrence Joseph nodded slightly and formed a complex seal with his hands, sending it towards the tower.
A powerful aura spread out as the barrier around the tower dissipated.
Lawrence Joseph led Billy into the first floor of Shadow Tower. As they entered, the formation reactivated, and the barrier enveloped the tower again.
“Mr. Billy, please sit,” Lawrence Joseph pointed to a chair in the hall.
“Janelle Pearson and her sister should be here too, right?” Billy smiled faintly.
“How about this? Take me to them, then disable the formation outside. I’ll give you a way out,” Billy offered.
Lawrence Joseph was momentarily stunned.
“Think about it?” Billy smiled again.
“Mr. Billy, you’re quite humorous!” Lawrence Joseph’s mouth twitched slightly. Was Mr. Billy out of his mind? In his current state, he was offering Lawrence a way out?
“You only get one chance. Miss it, and it’s gone!” Billy continued.
“Mr. Billy, I suggest you consider the young master’s offer. It could save your life,” Lawrence Joseph responded.
“Really not considering my advice?” Billy asked again.
“What do you want?” Lawrence Joseph frowned slightly. Initially, he thought Billy was joking, but now he sensed something off.
He couldn’t understand what Billy was relying on. Billy was already injured, and Lawrence was a fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm. He didn’t think Billy could pull off anything significant.
Even if Billy could match him, this was Shadow Hall’s base! Any disturbance would bring reinforcements immediately. Did Billy think he could fight all of Shadow Hall?
The answer was clearly no!
“I gave you a chance. Since you don’t want it, don’t blame me!” Billy said.
As he spoke, an ancient aura spread out, and Lawrence Joseph found himself in a strange space with completely different surroundings.
“What did you do? Where is this?” Lawrence Joseph asked sternly.
“Heard of Heavenly Xuan Space?” Billy asked calmly.
“Heavenly Xuan Space?” Lawrence Joseph was stunned. “You have the Heavenly Xuan Array Compass?”
“Surprised?” Billy asked back.
“You planned this from the start?” Lawrence Joseph continued after a pause. “You let us injure you on purpose so I’d bring you into Shadow Tower?”
“Congratulations, you guessed right!” Billy shrugged.
Just as Lawrence said, this had been his plan all along!
“I have some questions!” Lawrence Joseph took a deep breath. “How did you know the young master would bring you to Shadow Tower?”
“I guessed!” Billy smiled faintly and added.
“You know that even if I give you the Nine Dragons Cauldron, it’s useless to you.”
“So you wouldn’t kill me immediately because you need me to use the Nine Dragons Cauldron against Heaven’s Scourge. The best place to imprison me would be Shadow Tower.”
“The message the young master received was related to you?” Lawrence Joseph asked further.
“Your Sovereign is in seclusion; he’s now in charge of Shadow Hall,” Billy continued calmly.
“The formation collecting soul water at Soul Valley is under attack. It’s serious; he’d check personally!”
“You have accomplices?” Lawrence Joseph frowned slightly.
“I came to Deadland alone!” Billy replied.
“Then who’s attacking the formation…” Lawrence Joseph paused and realized. “Gate of Serenity?”
“You’re not too slow!” Billy shrugged again.
“Well calculated!” Lawrence Joseph’s eyes narrowed. “But aren’t you overconfident? Do you think bringing me into Heavenly Xuan Space gives you an advantage?”
“I’m a fifth-rank Mystic Kun Realm. Even if I can only use eighty or ninety percent of my power here, do you think you can beat me?”
“To be blunt,” Billy smiled faintly.
“I brought you into Heavenly Xuan Space not to suppress your power but to avoid making too much noise!”
“Otherwise, I could kill you anytime!”
