DON’T ABANDON HIM.

“I thought you ran away from Sihwa.” I let out as she hesitated in her tracks. “Why did you come back, especially, with Wendy? And when you saw your son getting beaten up, why didn’t you say anything? You left him out there for Sihwa to beat him up to a pulp.”
“He is Sihwa’s son. Why do I have to interfere?”
“What did you just say to me?”
“You know what I’m talking about, Gerhard.”
“For fuck’s sake, I don’t know what you are talking about, even although I don’t know what you are fucking talking about, Chelsea.”
“Forget it, Gerhard.” She gave a shaky breath. “There’s nothing I can do and don’t involve me in his life.”
“You gave birth to him. The least you could do is help him out. Not abandoning him.”
Her piercing gaze fell on me, and her eyes were on the verge of tears. I could see her tears welling up, on the brink of falling off her sockets.
“Mind your business, Gerhard Grimwolf.” She uttered and clenched both of her fists.
“You want me to mind my business?” I scoffed and started laughing. “You are funny, aren’t you, Star? Or should I call you Chelsea, instead?”
“I don’t care.” She softly whispered, hiding her eyes from me as she faced me. “You can-call me whatever you want to call me. I don’t give a damn, anyway.”
“You don’t give a damn.” I nodded, on the verge of attacking her. “You are so stupid.” I laughed bitterly. “I can’t believe you stood behind Sihwa, watching him beat your son up. You didn’t care to do anything and you are telling me to mind my fucking business. Did you think if I mind my business, I will still be in the Grimwolf’s pack? Do you think I will survive? But no, I can’t.” I walked briskly over to Chelsea and grabbed her neck. Held on to my suit with my other left hand. “You make me sick.”
She didn’t flinch, but her eyes spilled tears down my hand.
“Why are you crying instead of me?” she asked softly. I noticed my eyes were dripping too. Yet, I ignored them and tightened my grip on her neck.
“I had to do what I had to do to survive.” She whispered. “You know how Sihwa is. I can’t escape from him. He’s the Alpha of the Grimwolf pack and all he wants is Wendy. I’m his property now. I have nothing to lose.”
“You have nothing to lose?” I nearly shouted.
“Yes.” she responded. “I don’t have a son. May have given birth to him with blood on my hands, but I don’t have a son. I only gave birth to him, but he is not my son. I don’t have anyone, Gerhard.”
I couldn’t believe my ears, hearing these words from someone I have always looked up to.
“Are you telling me you wouldn’t have cared if he had died?”
“Yes.” She bit her lips. “I wouldn’t have cared because I don’t know him. He doesn’t belong to me, but to his father. I have no say in claiming him as my son, nor do I want him as my son. In life anyway, we will always have something to lose in order to survive.”
“Can you hear yourself? Something to lose in order to survive? I’m very disappointed in you.”
I ignored my tears.
“You failed as a mother and I hope he doesn’t hear this from you-”
“I already did.” He strolled out of nowhere. “I heard everything from you and her, Alpha Gerhard.” He walked up to me and was two inches away from me. “I’m not your son, right?”
I dropped my right hand at my side and didn’t want to look at any of them.
Chelsea didn’t respond.
“I’ve always known you hate me. Guess what, I properly remind you so much of my father. That’s why you hate me. But I don’t care.” He boldly stated, yet I felt the intense pain in his tone. “You were never my mother. Whenever I look at your bloody ass, I want to kill you with my bare hands.”
“Shiva.” I warned him. “Watch your mouth.”
“Sad daughter of a bitch.” He yelled. “That’s what you are to me.” He ignored me. “I can never forgive you for leaving me all by myself.” He scoffed. “When I heard you came back, I thought that maybe something was gonna change. But what did you do? You wore your assassin clothes sexually to murder werewolves and suck up to Sihwa so he could shove his dick inside you. What! Did you miss his dick so much? Was that why you came back?”
Her tears streamed down her cheeks. Her eyes were bloody red. “Shiva-”
“Don’t call me that,” he warned calmly.
“You don’t understand, Shiva.” She took a step. “Shiva, please.”
“Don’t you fucking DARE call my name?” He roared. “Just shut your dirty mouth, slut. Don’t call my name again, bitch. If you do, for one second, pronounce my name, I will kill you without hesitation. I guess Sihwa wouldn’t care if you are dead. He would just find some other assassin to play with. After all, you are an empty vessel. There’s nothing in you for him to come looking for you to stay in his arms.” He laughs. “I was so fucking stupid to think you would reconsider your actions and apologize to me. But you had the gut to tell Gerhard that I’m not your fucking son.”
“Let me explain.” She started sobbing. “It’s not what you think.” She shook her head sideways. “Don’t believe everything you hear…”
“Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Shut it.” His eyes broadened. “Who are you to tell me what to listen to and not what to listen to, Chelsea or Star? I don’t even know your name. But why should I care about your name? You are a fucking nobody.” He slowly paced around. “You are an alpha who sold her body and her siblings to feed her parents. I heard you fucked your father.”
“Don’t say a word.” She murmured. “Please, you know nothing about my life.”
“I know nothing about your life? And I shouldn’t say a word? Fuck. Wait! Are you telling me what to say again and not what to say, bitch?”
“Shiva, that’s enough.” I shut my eyes, hoping for their conversation to not get worse than it is.
“What do you know about me? When I got raped in the ass. What did you do?” Shiva roared furiously, swiping his claws on Chelsea’s face, when Wendy blocked his path with her tears dripping down her cheeks. She held her hands out in front of her.
“Don’t. Please.” Wendy kept crying. “Please, don’t hurt her.”
“Get out of my way.” Shiva’s bloodshot eyes increased his tears. “I’m not gonna think twice when I attack you.”
