Chapter 87
Elena opened her eyes slowly as she tried to understand why her environment smelt dusty and stuffy. She finally opened her eyes to find herself enclosed in a space. A streak of light seeped in from a hole in the wall.
It took her a few minutes to realize that the room she was in was moving, before she could understand what was going on, it came to a sudden halt.
She could feel that her light clothing had become soaked with her sweat as she tried to find a way out of the heat. When her legs hit the walls she saw, they resounded in her ears unlike normal walls would and she felt her heart miss its beat and adrenaline kicked in.
The dizziness that seemed to have covered her eyes immediately dissipated, and she looked around her environment with clearer eyes, it took her a minute to realize she was in the back of a van.
All along, she had been using her eyes to study her environment and had not thought to sit up, but now that the thought occurred to her, it dawned on her that she couldn’t move as she was all tied up.
“What’s this? What’s going on? What…”
“Can you just keep quiet?” Someone said from behind her startling her as she had not known she wasn’t alone because it was so dark she could only see the light ray that struggled to come in.
Was it her captor? Who was talking to her?
“Who are you?” She asked in a low voice that wouldn’t be considered as noise unlike the first.
Unfortunately, there was no response as the van became quiet. Elena began to panic as no one was saying anything to her but she could suddenly hear the uneven breaths of more than two people inside the van.
She tried so much to hold her breath and make sure no one heard her sniff when she began to feel tears sting her eyes.
When had this happened? She was trying to remember where and how she had been abducted when the van door opened, finally allowing in light.
She covered her eyes from the light rays as they were too bright, given that they had been in the dark for a long while. When her eyes finally got used to the light, she noticed that a man had stepped into the van and was looking around at all the people who were held captive in it.
Elena hid her face and tried to look around; for a second, she could see unfamiliar huge men walking around outside the van as they seemed to be very busy bringing down packages from a car.
The next thing Elena knew, two huge-looking feet were stepping into the van, shaking the tires as they stepped in. She shivered in her corner and moved closer to the walls of the van, but somehow, they still ended up in front of her, and the next thing she knew, they were pulling her up.
Elena began to scream as she struggled with them.
“Let me go! Leave me alone!” She screamed and yelled and thrashed but her feminine strength couldn’t be compared to those of the two huge figures that lifted her.
She was confused as to what was going on. She didn’t even know who they were and why they had abducted her.
The two men took her out despite all she did, and she ended up in a room, kneeling in front of a man.
When she was sure her feet were finally on the floor, she lifted her head very slowly to see who she was kneeling before and her eyes met a very huge man, more huge than those that had dragged her into the room.
He sat on a scary chair that had a lion’s mouth on both arms, and it matched his demeanor and all. He had tattoos all over his body, and he was wearing shirtless, leaving all his tattooed muscles and body build to anyone who cared to look.
Her heart did a backflip when she saw the very large blunt he was smoking and his intimidating aura which made her breathless in the silence that followed.
He just sat there, staring at her silently. After a few seconds, which felt like hours for Elena, he flicked his fingers, and two men came from a room.
“Clean her up.” He ordered them with his eyes still fixed on her.
The men came to her again and raised her. Elena was confused. Why did they keep taking her around? She tried to fight them as tears stung her eyes, but she knew it was futile, so she resolved to ask questions and probe them if they would let any information slip.
“Where am I? Where is this? Can you at least tell me what I’m doing here?” She asked them as she struggled with their grip on her, but unfortunately, none of them even gave her as much as a glance to show that she existed.
They took her into a room and cleaned her up, after which they dressed her in a little clothing and then brought her back to the room again.
The tattooed man was still sitting on his scary seat but there was someone else now. A man was standing beside the chair, looking at her, too.
When she looked at him closely, her eyes widened.
She knew this face and her eyes were not deceiving her.
“You?” She screamed in surprise and the man smiled.
“I see you have a very cognitive memory .” He mocked with a short evil chuckle.
“Why are you doing this?” Elena asked as tears built up in her eyes. “You made a deal with him! So why do you have me again?” She asked in anger as her tears fell.
“Is she this much of a talkative?” The tattooed man asked him.
” No. Not that I know of. The last time we met, she was rather unconscious. It’s a surprise she even recognized me.” He responded, but Elena was very paying attention to them as her brain was working its own thing out.
“Theo right? You are Theo. I just asked why you are doing this?” She asked him again and the main scoffed at her.
“As if you have any right to ask.” He muttered and chuckled as the huge tattooed man began walking towards where she knelt, and she, in fear, began shitting backward, away from him as well.
When he got to her, he grabbed her chin and tilted it to look into his eyes.
“You will not speak unless spoken to in my house. Do you get that? “
