Chapter 47

Book:Resisting The Dangerous Mafia Lord Published:2024-12-6

Dominic got to the hospital in no time. Elena had completely fallen unconscious, resting in his arms. Every second as he raced to the wards, his eyes kept flickering to hers.
“I need a doctor! Right this instant!” He yelled loud enough for the hospital staff and some patients who dallied around to show him a look.
A doctor who was conversing with a nurse saw him and his eyes widened in recognition.
Quickly, he made his way to Dominic who was already heading towards the nearest ward.
“Dominic? What is going on? What happened to her?”
The Doctors eyes settled on Elena studying her with a creased brow. He quickly motioned for some nurses on standby, and they quickly brought out a stretcher.
But before they could bring it to Dominic, he had already made his way into an empty ward and placed Elena in it.
One rule of the Mafias was they never go to the hospital no matter what. Except in a situation of life and death.
This was why the doctor, upon recognizing Dominic, was quite surprised when he saw him in there.
Angelo never comes to the hospital or brings in anyone due to the nature of his job.
His enemies are everywhere. Which was why he had a special doctor back in California who did his deeds for him.
But they were in Peru now, and Nicholas, the doctor wasn’t summoned this time, as Angelo never saw an incident like this happening.
As soon as he placed Elena on the bed, the doctors began work on her.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Eva was being rushed to the hospital as well by the guard in the Mansion.
Each of them spotted a grim look on their faces as they drove with maximum speed.
They could not dare to think what the boss would say or do when he found out what had happened.
How it had happened, they asked could not tell.
Not to talk of the Don himself. The news was better off not getting to his ears, or they are damn sure they would not live to see the next minute.
“Ma’am, ma’am, We are almost there. Please stay strong. Please be strong,” one of them called as he stared down at her, sprawled in his lap.
Eva on the other hand, was clutching her wrist in utmost pain. The cut was a sharp one as it kept dripping blood down her body.
It was the only way she could get herself in that hospital as Elena. She knew she had to finish what she had started.
No way was she letting that bitch get well. No way was she letting any loose ends.
It was almost like Eva knew she would be taken to the same hospital Elena was taken to. But it was only because it was the nearest hospital in the district, and they were a bit familiar with the management.
She was bleeding profusely at the moment, but that was less of a concern to her.
Just as the car drove right through the corner that led to the hospital, a black sleek car passed by them.
And then the driver pulled the brakes while horning harshly.
The guards in the car with Eva stared back, in a double take as their eyes widened in horror and recognition.
Angelo!
It was Angelo!
“Stop the car! It’s the Boss. We have to….”
“Don’t you dare stop the car? Keep moving!” Eva yelled at them, with gritted teeth as she tried to rein in her pain.
She bit her lips, knowing fully well that Angelo might very well follow them to the hospital. So, she didn’t want to risk it.
They listened to her and made their way to the hospital in less than a minute.
However, Angelo was in the car when the driver suddenly halted the car.
He was in an incredibly sour mood, as the plan he had for the day hadn’t gone smoothly.
“What is it this time, Marcus?” He asked calmly, his hand resting on his forehead as he stared out the window.
His attention was not on his surroundings, but on the scenarios that kept playing in his head.
His only desire at that moment was to get home to a nice rest. Maybe a fuck, and a drink, and height be able to relieve some of the stress.
A familiar feeling surged in his chest as he thought of the object of his fantasy. He knew he had begun to fancy the girl. The daughter of a traitor. His traitor.
Don’s words kept echoing in his head. He had given him some day’s ultimatum to get rid of her or he might do it himself. But Angelo wanted to prove he was not in the least attracted or see her in that way.
Oh, how he was so wrong.
“I think something is off, Boss. That…that is the official car.” The diver said hesitantly, as he stared at the retreating car from the rearview mirror.
The car in question had tinted glasses, but he could easily point it out anywhere as he had often ridden it for Angelo.
“What do you mean by that?” Angelo asked, seeming uninterested.
“That is your car, Boss. The official one.”
Slowly, Angelo raised his head as he stared at the car as it retreated. But not so, fortunately, the car had swerved off to a different route.
However, Angelo could recognize his car model anywhere. His eyes shot up in annoyance as he quickly sat upright in his seat.
“What the hell!? Go after it. Right now!?”
What was going on? He thought.
He NEVER uses that particular ride for anything, except for important events. So he could not understand why it had suddenly been driven by someone.
“It must be someone from the house,” he mused in annoyance.
The driver nodded as he stated the ignition and raced after the car, “Yes, Boss. It seems so. Also, it was coming from the direction of the house.”
Roughly a few minutes plus, they halted in front of the hospital, where the car was parked at the side.
Angelos brows furrowed as he stared and wondered what must have brought whoever that was, to the hospital.
He quickly alighted from the car. But in the next minute, he was frozen in his tracks.
“What Is that car also doing here!?” He pointed to the other side, gesturing at the so familiar car parked to the side as well.
The driver, who had also got down from the car, stared at the two cars, his gaze darting from one to the other in a confused look
Suddenly, Angelo’s brows furrowed deeply, his eyes widened as he dashed into the hospital doors.
