In a short while, six or seven people landed on the ground one after another.
As for Derrick George, his body and soul had both turned to nothingness.
“Thank you, Miss Sanaa, thank you, Mr. Billy!” Charlie Cooper bowed as he approached with Bobby Cooper and a few others.
“Aren’t you afraid of falling out with Grand Hall?” Sanaa asked calmly.
“Miss Sanaa, you jest!” Charlie Cooper bowed again.
After a brief pause, he continued, “Miss Sanaa, shall we go inside the mansion to talk?”
“Let’s go,” Sanaa nodded.
A quarter of an hour later, they entered the Cooper Mansion.
“Miss Sanaa, with Derrick George dead, Grand Hall won’t let this go easily. You and Mr. Billy need to be careful,” Charlie Cooper said after they were seated.
“And those other top sects might also…”
“Our affairs are none of your concern!” Sanaa interrupted him. “You should think about how Ancestral Grounds will explain this to Grand Hall!”
“Thank you for your concern, Miss Sanaa. Since we’ve taken action, we’ve considered all the consequences!” Charlie Cooper responded. “If they insist on war, we will accompany them!”
“What is your Sect Master’s current cultivation level?” Sanaa asked.
“Sorry, Miss Sanaa, I can’t answer that,” Charlie Cooper shook his head. “Besides the two Grand Elders, no one knows the Sect Master’s exact level. I haven’t seen him take action in many years.”
“What about the strength of the Grand Elders?” Sanaa pursued.
“Both Grand Elders are at the sixth-rank Mystic Kun Realm!” Charlie Cooper did not hide this.
“Sixth-rank Mystic Kun Realm, not bad!” Sanaa nodded slightly before changing the topic. “How much do you know about Deadland?”
“Actually, we don’t know much!” Charlie Cooper paused before beginning to explain what he knew.
After a few minutes of description, he turned to Billy. “If Mr. Billy could go to Deadland for us and confirm the Ancestor’s life or death, Ancestral Grounds would be deeply grateful!”
“If I’m not mistaken, you want more than just confirmation of the Ancestor’s life or death, right?” Billy asked.
He had suspected this yesterday.
The Ancestor of Ancestral Grounds had entered Deadland many years ago. If it was only to confirm his life or death, Ancestral Grounds wouldn’t be so persistent.
There must be other reasons!
He had asked Sanaa about this, but although she had similar suspicions, she didn’t know the specifics either.
“To be honest, there are indeed other reasons!” Charlie Cooper took a deep breath and continued.
“Ancestral Grounds has a secret realm in Foldspace. The entrance to the teleportation channel is fortified with arrays that only successive Sect Masters know how to break.”
“The Ancestor had an accident before he could pass on the method to break the array to the current Sect Master, so no one in Ancestral Grounds can enter that secret realm.”
“What is inside the secret realm?” Billy asked.
“We don’t know exactly because even our Sect Master hasn’t been inside,” replied Bobby Cooper from the side.
“You don’t even know what’s inside?” Billy looked at them.
“And your Ancestor was quite interesting. Before entering Deadland, he couldn’t pass on the method to break the array?”
“At that time, he didn’t know he wouldn’t be able to come back,” Bobby Cooper replied.
“Alright then!” Billy shrugged.
“If Mr. Billy could go to Deadland for us, we Ancestral Grounds would be deeply grateful!” Charlie Cooper reiterated.
“That’s enough for today,” Sanaa said. “We’ll come back in ten days and set off for Deadland!”
“Thank you, Miss Sanaa, Mr. Billy!” Charlie Cooper bowed again.
After that, Billy and Sanaa took their leave.
“If you don’t want to enter Deadland, you don’t have to bother with them,” Sanaa said to Billy as they walked down the street.
“It’s fine. I’m free anyway; I might as well take a look,” Billy smiled lightly.
“Alright!” Sanaa nodded. “If anything feels off, don’t force it; just come out immediately!”
She knew that although Billy couldn’t use Nine Dragons Cauldron to fight enemies directly, he could hide inside Nine Dragons Cauldron Space and maneuver it.
That was enough; at least he could retreat safely!
“Understood!” Billy nodded.
In the next two or three days, Billy refined the beast core of the Black Dragon he had acquired earlier.
Although he had expected the energy contained in this beast core to be extraordinary, he was still shocked when he actually refined it.
He was certain this was by far the most powerful beast core he had ever refined!
It was several levels stronger than any Spirit Fruit or pill he had used before.
Even with the support of his bloodline power, it was still very difficult. Without Sanaa’s help, he doubted he would have survived without exploding.
In three days, he had refined more than half of the beast core’s energy.
On the morning of the fourth day, they went to a forest a thousand miles away from the city. Before long, Billy inevitably attracted Thunder Tribulation.
Although there were some minor incidents during the tribulation process, with Sanaa’s help, he passed through it safely.
After Thunder Tribulation, a powerful aura erupted from him like a tidal wave.
Second-rank Controlled Kun Realm!
“Not bad!” Sanaa nodded slightly after sensing Billy’s martial aura.
“All thanks to Miss Sanaa!” Billy smiled.
“Alright then. Stay here and consolidate your cultivation. Also, take some time to practice your blade technique!” Sanaa responded. “I have some matters to attend to; I’ll come find you in a few days.”
“Okay!” Billy replied.
In the following days, Billy continued to train in the forest.
Five days passed in a blink of an eye. On this morning, just as Billy finished his training session, Sanaa descended from the sky and landed on the ground.
Her face was slightly pale, and her aura was somewhat chaotic-clearly signs of a recent battle.
“Miss Sanaa, what happened?” Billy quickly approached her.
“It’s nothing!” Sanaa waved her hand. “Give me a moment; I need to meditate for a bit.”
She then sat cross-legged on a patch of grass.
About an hour later, she opened her eyes and stood up. Her aura had stabilized and her complexion returned to normal.
“Miss Sanaa, who were you fighting…” Billy began to ask.
“Don’t worry about that now; we’ll talk after you return from Deadland!” Sanaa interrupted him. “Let’s go to the Cooper Mansion!”
She then led Billy towards the city by air.
Soon they arrived at the mansion where Charlie Cooper and Bobby Cooper were already waiting.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, the four of them flew to an open area outside the city.
Charlie Cooper took out a long knife from his storage ring and slashed forward with full strength, creating a rift in the void.
Following Charlie Cooper’s lead, they all entered the rift one by one.
After an unknown period of time, they emerged from the rift into an unfamiliar star domain shrouded in a faint mist…
