“Heh, if you can come, why can’t I?”
The elder in white named Charlie Cooper smiled faintly and then looked in Sanaa’s direction, speaking loudly.
“Miss Sanaa, I apologize for being late. Please don’t take offense!”
“You decided to show up?” Sanaa glanced at him indifferently.
“I was delayed by something on the way here, so I arrived a bit late,” Charlie Cooper replied.
After speaking, he turned to Billy. “Mr. Billy, I’ve heard much about you. It’s a pleasure to meet you!”
“You’re too kind!” Billy smiled faintly.
Yesterday, after leaving the Cooper Mansion with Sanaa and listening to her analysis, he had guessed that someone from the Ancestral Grounds would show up today.
Moreover, he could also predict that they wouldn’t appear too early; they would definitely take this opportunity to assess his strength.
Sure enough!
“Charlie Cooper, this matter has nothing to do with you today. You’d better not interfere!” Derrick George said sternly, looking at Charlie Cooper.
“Heh, that’s not quite right!” Charlie Cooper laughed coldly again.
“Miss Sanaa and Mr. Billy are honored guests of our Ancestral Grounds. Now that I know they are in danger, do you think I would stand by and do nothing?”
“What a joke! Since when did they become your honored guests?” Derrick George responded coldly. “If you want the Nine Dragons Cauldron, just say so. Why come up with such a lame excuse!”
“Do we need to report to your Grand Hall about who we befriend?” Charlie Cooper retorted.
Then he looked at Billy. “Miss Sanaa, Mr. Billy, would you care to join me in the courtyard?”
“We’re fine with that!” Billy shrugged. “But I wonder if the people from the Grand Hall will allow it!”
“Mr. Billy, rest assured. Since I am here, no one can harm you!” Charlie Cooper made a gesture of invitation. “Miss Sanaa, Mr. Billy, please!”
“Charlie Cooper, he was invited by our Grand Hall. Without my consent, he can’t go anywhere!” Derrick George frowned.
“Derrick George, let me reiterate, Mr. Billy is an honored guest of our Ancestral Grounds. If you intend to make a move, you’d better think it through!” Charlie Cooper responded sternly.
“Don’t forget, there is a ceasefire agreement between the Grand Hall and the Ancestral Grounds unless you wish to provoke a war between us…”
“Don’t use the ceasefire agreement as an excuse!” Derrick George interrupted again. “Today, if you interfere, be prepared for our Grand Hall to declare war…”
Before he could finish his sentence, a thin sword shot out from Sanaa’s hand, tearing open a rift in the void with unstoppable force.
“Hmm?” Derrick George’s pupils contracted slightly as he raised his hand and punched out.
A loud bang echoed as the void collapsed. Derrick George was sent flying thousands of meters back, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
Sanaa didn’t stop. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she sent out a second substantial thin sword.
“Vice Sovereign, watch out!” Tommy George shouted as he raised his hand to block the attack.
After another loud bang, both the palm strike and the thin sword dissipated into nothingness, and the void collapsed again.
“You truly deserve death!” Derrick George’s face turned livid as he spread his arms wide, creating several afterimages in the void.
In an instant, an ancient beast as large as a small mountain charged towards Sanaa, causing the void to crack wherever it passed.
“Attack!” At the same time, Charlie Cooper gritted his teeth and raised his hand to meet the attack.
For him, if given a choice, he actually didn’t want to clash with the Grand Hall.
After all, his intervention would mean the official end of the ceasefire agreement between the two forces.
But he also knew that if he didn’t intervene, the Ancestral Grounds would lose any chance of forming an alliance with Billy, and it would be almost impossible to make amends in the future.
He could clearly sense that Sanaa hadn’t used her full strength against Derrick George earlier; otherwise, Derrick George would have been severely injured if not dead.
It was evident that Sanaa was testing his attitude, leaving him with little choice.
With his words falling, Bobby Cooper led three others towards Tommy George and the rest.
“Bobby Cooper, I hope you know what you’re doing!” Tommy George frowned as he met them head-on.
In an instant, both sides were locked in fierce combat.
Meanwhile, Sanaa waved her hand, releasing four souls from their spatial prison in mid-air.
The souls didn’t hesitate and quickly fled in all directions.
However, Dark Puppet had been waiting for them and absorbed them into its body before they got far.
Billy then stored Dark Puppet into his storage ring.
Having absorbed so many Mystic Kun Realm souls at once, Dark Puppet had plenty to refine again.
Sanaa and Billy then landed on Platform Seven to watch the commotion.
“Miss Sanaa, should we intervene?” After a while, Billy looked at Sanaa and asked.
After a brief adjustment, his true energy and mental power had returned to their peak state; he was ready for battle again.
“No rush. Let’s watch for a bit,” Sanaa replied calmly.
“Alright!” Billy nodded.
After about fifteen minutes, both sides had sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Overall, those from the Ancestral Grounds were more seriously injured due to being outnumbered.
Of course, the Grand Hall members weren’t much better off either; Derrick George and Tommy George had significant injuries as well.
“Charlie Cooper, I hope you won’t regret your decision today!” Derrick George said sternly to Charlie Cooper before turning to his own people and shouting loudly. “Everyone, retreat!”
He knew that if they continued fighting, even if they could kill Charlie Cooper and his men, they themselves would be severely injured.
At that point, if Billy and Sanaa decided to intervene again, they wouldn’t stand a chance.
“Understood!” Tommy George and the other Grand Hall members responded at the same time.
With that said, everyone quickly scattered in all directions.
However, they were clearly overthinking it!
From the beginning, Sanaa had no intention of letting them live; she wouldn’t allow them to leave alive.
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she manifested hundreds of substantial thin swords behind her using her mental power.
In the next moment, countless thin swords rained down on their opponents like a storm, tearing open numerous rifts in the void.
Without much surprise, except for Derrick George and Tommy George, everyone else perished without exception; their souls were annihilated.
“You truly deserve death!”
Seeing this scene, Derrick George cried out in pain with a twisted expression.
However, he didn’t linger long and continued fleeing.
He had already experienced Sanaa’s strength and knew that staying meant certain death; he had to leave first and foremost.
Tommy George naturally followed suit at full speed.
“He’s yours!” Sanaa pointed in Tommy George’s direction and said to Billy before flashing towards Derrick George.
“Alright!” Billy responded before moving swiftly.
Since these Grand Hall members had come for his life from the start, he wouldn’t show mercy either.
Moreover, there would definitely be a battle with the Grand Hall in the future; killing one now meant one less opponent later on.
Tommy George had barely run four or five kilometers when a blade light flashed across his body.
Sky Burial Blade!
After the blade light passed, Tommy George’s body split in two and fell from mid-air.
“Mr. Billy, spare my life! I promise not to trouble you again…” Tommy George’s soul shouted loudly as it fled.
“Sorry, it’s too late!” Billy replied calmly.
With that said, Dark Puppet chased after him.
“Ah!” Soon after, Tommy George let out an unwilling scream of despair.
Then the void returned to silence…
