“Do you dare to take a strike from him?” Sanaa asked, looking at Bobby Cooper.
“Miss Sanaa, what do you mean?” Bobby Cooper paused and then added, “Mr. Billy has the combat power of the Mystic Kun Realm? But he hasn’t even broken through the Controlled Kun Realm yet…”
Although he had heard that Billy could challenge several levels above his own, he had already checked Billy’s cultivation and found it to be only half a step into the Controlled Kun Realm.
Even if he could challenge across most of a realm, it would be difficult to contend with the Mystic Kun Realm!
“Believe it or not, it’s up to you!” Sanaa responded, “This is your only chance!”
After speaking, she walked towards the door. Billy hesitated for a moment and then followed her.
Bobby Cooper opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but eventually decided against it.
“Mr. Cooper, this matter needs careful consideration!” After Billy and Sanaa left, a man looked at Bobby Cooper and spoke.
“Even if he can rely on the Nine Dragons Cauldron to enter Deadland, his cultivation is too low. With his skills, it will be very difficult to succeed!”
“Indeed!” Another man spoke, “If he fails, we will end up breaking ties with the Grand Hall…”
“Elder Jacob, send a message to the Sect Master!” Bobby Cooper interrupted.
“Mr. Cooper…” Elder Jacob hesitated before speaking.
“Report the situation to the Sect Master and let him decide!” Bobby Cooper responded.
“Understood!” Elder Jacob hesitated again before taking out a Mystic Echo Stone.
Meanwhile, Sanaa and Billy had already reached the street.
“Have you heard of the Ancestral Grounds?” Sanaa asked as they walked.
“This is the first time I’ve heard of it!” Billy responded.
“Once, the Ancestral Grounds dominated this star domain. Later, some changes weakened their power significantly,” Sanaa explained.
“Today, their overall strength is slightly stronger than the Grand Hall, but just barely.”
“I understand!” Billy nodded.
“I once had some dealings with their Sect Master along with Fairy, so I’m doing them a favor. Whether they accept it or not is up to them,” Sanaa added.
“Miss Sanaa, what kind of place is Deadland?” Billy continued to ask.
He naturally knew why Sanaa had brought him here!
Although Sanaa said she was doing the Ancestral Grounds a favor, she was actually looking for help for him. If the Ancestral Grounds were willing to intervene, he would be at no risk.
“It’s a very special place in an eighth-tier star domain!” Sanaa paused before explaining.
“Although it’s called Deadland, it’s not a place for the dead. However, there are indeed many wandering souls and ghosts.”
“To reach Deadland smoothly, one must pass through a void filled with endless death energy.”
“The death energy is very corrosive. Not only does it corrode flesh and blood, but even ordinary weapons and objects are instantly corroded upon contact.”
“Even the defensive energy of Mystic Kun Realm experts can hardly resist the death energy, so ordinary people can’t enter.”
“Is there such a place?” Billy was surprised.
This was indeed the first time he had heard of it!
He had been to many eerie places before, such as the blood domain in the Silent Ruins space and the Inferno base camp, both filled with lots of yin energy and wandering souls and ghosts.
But those places were just a bit more eerie than others and didn’t have the ability to corrode other substances.
“What attracts people from the Grand Hall and Ancestral Grounds to Deadland?” Billy asked another question.
From Sanaa and Bobby Cooper’s conversation earlier, he could easily deduce that there must be something special in Deadland!
“Telling you too much now won’t make sense. You’ll understand when you have a chance to enter,” Sanaa replied.
“Many years ago, before the Grand Hall and Ancestral Grounds became hostile, their relationship was still decent.”
“One day, an Ancestor from each faction went into Deadland but never came out.”
“They want to know if their Ancestors are still alive. So for many years, they’ve been trying to send people into Deadland to find out.”
“How did their Ancestors get in?” Billy asked.
“It’s said that an array master led them in back then,” Sanaa paused before adding, “Of course, that array master never came out either.”
“An array master can enter Deadland?” Billy was surprised.
“Don’t underestimate array masters!” Sanaa responded.
“Don’t forget that the Nine Dragons Cauldron is so magical because of the profound arrays on it.”
“That’s true!” Billy nodded.
Not only the Nine Dragons Cauldron but also the Heaven Book, Heavenly Xuan Array Compass, and Infinite Furnace were all products of arrays.
“Can Mystic Echo Stones be used in Deadland?” Billy asked another question.
“Obviously not!” Sanaa nodded.
“The Ancestors from Grand Hall and Ancestral Grounds should have left soul beads in their sects. Can’t they tell if they’re dead or not?” Billy continued to ask.
“This is what puzzles both factions!” Sanaa replied again.
“Their soul beads haven’t broken but are covered with cracks. This situation has never been seen before.”
“Normally, soul beads only have two states: intact or broken. There’s no third state.”
“So strange?” Billy was surprised again.
“Let’s not talk about this anymore. If you have a chance to go into Deadland, you might find unexpected gains!” Sanaa spoke again.
“Okay!” Billy nodded.
Then they temporarily settled in a nearby hotel.
The next morning, as they walked out of the hotel, a man approached them.
“Are you Mr. Billy?” The man asked as he approached.
“Yes!” Billy nodded.
“Mr. Billy, I’m from the Grand Hall. Elder Tommy sent me to guide you!” The man bowed and spoke.
“Thank you!” Billy responded.
“Mr. Billy, please follow me!” The man said and then led Billy and Sanaa into the air.
About fifteen minutes later, they arrived at a mountain top a thousand miles away from Prime City’s main gate, surrounded by mist.
Not far away was a large open space with seven platforms of about two or three hundred square meters each. Four chairs were placed on each platform.
Except for two platforms, people were already seated on the other five platforms, with varying numbers of people standing behind each chair.
Billy could also sense many hidden presences around the mountain top, undoubtedly some uninvited spectators wanting to join in on the excitement.
“Mr. Billy, we meet again. Thank you for coming!”
An old man stepped down from one of the platforms as he saw them approaching.
Billy looked over and recognized him as Tommy George, whom he had met over a month ago.
“Hello!” Billy smiled faintly.
“Thank you for coming, Mr. Billy. Please take a seat!” Tommy George said while glancing at Sanaa but did not react much.
“Mr. Billy, please wait a moment. We’re about to start!” Tommy George continued as he looked at Billy.
“The people for platform six haven’t arrived yet?” Billy pointed to an adjacent platform.
“That’s reserved for Nameless Sect, but we can’t contact them now. Something must have happened,” Tommy George responded.
“I see!” Billy smiled faintly.
After chatting for a few more moments, Tommy George returned to platform one.
Billy then released his spiritual power to probe everyone on each platform, his eyes narrowing slightly.
All of them were very strong!
