Sanaa had just taken a few steps when the elder flicked his wrist, and a gust of wind swept out from the broom in his hand.
Sanaa’s eyes narrowed slightly. Instead of retreating, she advanced, sweeping out with her palm.
Their attacks collided, and a powerful shockwave rippled out. The nearby trees swayed, and countless leaves fluttered down.
At the same time, Sanaa and the elder each retreated about a hundred meters before stopping.
Both had only used about fifty to sixty percent of their strength, so neither could gain the upper hand.
“Impressive!” The elder steadied himself and looked at Sanaa. “Take another move from me!”
As he spoke, his aura continued to rise, and he swept out another gust of wind with his broom.
Sanaa didn’t use any fancy moves either. She swept out with her palm, and the air surged.
A deafening boom echoed, and a figure was sent flying backward, crashing through a wall and skidding to a stop after retreating several steps in the courtyard. It was the elder with the broom.
After steadying himself, he spat out a mouthful of blood, a look of surprise flashing across his face.
Then, Sanaa led Billy into the courtyard.
“State your name,” the elder said after calming his turbulent blood.
At first, he clearly hadn’t taken them seriously!
But now, he had no choice but to pay attention!
He could clearly feel that Sanaa had held back; otherwise, he would have been in much worse shape!
“Bobby Cooper, I know you’re here. If you don’t show yourself, I’ll tear down this courtyard, believe it or not.” Sanaa ignored the elder and called out loudly toward the depths of the courtyard.
“How dare you!” At that moment, another elder’s voice came from the back of the courtyard.
As he spoke, a mysterious mark whipped up a gust of wind and flashed toward them with thunderous momentum.
“You are way out of your league!” Sanaa’s eyes narrowed slightly. She flicked her wrist, and a thin sword tore through the air at high speed.
The mark couldn’t withstand her attack and exploded instantly. The sword continued forward unabated, slicing through everything in its path.
“Miss Sanaa, please show mercy!” A man’s voice rang out as a fist force surged forward to meet the sword.
The fist force and the sword exploded at the same time, causing a nearby wooden building to collapse in a shower of splinters.
Then, five people emerged from the back of the courtyard.
Leading them was a man who appeared to be in his fifties, dressed in gray.
From his aura, it was clear that his cultivation level was two ranks higher than the elder with the broom-third-rank Mystic Kun Realm.
Among those following him, one was also at Mystic Kun Realm, while the other three were in the mid to late stages of Controlled Kun Realm.
“You finally decided to show yourself?” Sanaa addressed the middle-aged man named Bobby Cooper.
“Miss Sanaa, it’s been a long time!” Bobby Cooper bowed slightly as he approached.
“It’s been a tumultuous time recently. Elder Jacob didn’t recognize you, so please forgive any disrespect.”
“Do you think I believe that?” Sanaa glanced at him. “You were probably hoping I wouldn’t come looking for you.”
“Miss Sanaa, you misunderstand!” Bobby Cooper bowed again. “It’s my great honor that you still remember me after all these years…”
“Enough with the insincere words!” Sanaa interrupted him and pointed at Billy. “Recognize him?”
“If I’m not mistaken, this should be Mr. Billy?” Bobby Cooper looked at Billy.
“Hello!” Billy responded with a faint smile.
“You should know why he’s come to Prime City?” Sanaa continued.
“I do!” Bobby Cooper nodded. “Word has spread about this matter. I’ve heard about it too.”
He then turned to Billy. “But Mr. Billy, if I may be blunt, you shouldn’t have come. You must understand Grand Hall’s intentions!”
“Even if I didn’t come, they would still find me if they wanted to, wouldn’t they?” Billy smiled again.
“True!” Bobby Cooper replied.
“How about making a deal with you? Interested?” Sanaa asked.
“A deal?” Bobby Cooper was taken aback. “What kind of deal?”
“As far as I know, your Ancestral Grounds have been fighting Grand Hall for nearly ten thousand years without a clear winner,” Sanaa replied.
Billy finally understood which faction they belonged to!
However, the term “Ancestral Grounds” was unfamiliar to him; it was the first time he had heard it!
“Miss Sanaa, you want us to help Mr. Billy against Grand Hall?” Bobby Cooper asked.
Given his intelligence, he naturally understood her intention from Sanaa’s words.
“Not help him-help yourselves!” Sanaa said calmly.
“As far as I know, Grand Hall has sent five Mystic Kun Realm experts this time: one fourth-rank Mystic Kun Realm, two third-rank Mystic Kun Realms, and two second-rank Mystic Kun Realms!”
“Although Grand Hall is powerful, losing several Mystic Kun Realm experts at once would still be a significant blow to them!”
“But Grand Hall has already reached a truce agreement with us, agreeing that neither side will…” Bobby Cooper continued.
“Are you sure they’re sincere about the truce?” Sanaa interrupted him.
“As far as I know, their Sovereign has been in seclusion for the past few months. Do you think it’s possible they’re waiting for their Sovereign to emerge?”
“It might be possible!” Bobby Cooper paused briefly before speaking. “But for Ancestral Grounds, starting a war with them now would also come at a high cost…”
“Billy can enter Deadland!” Sanaa interrupted him again.
“Hmm?” Bobby Cooper’s pupils contracted slightly. “Miss Sanaa, are you serious?”
“Do you think I’m joking?” Sanaa glanced at him.
“Grand Hall could have directly taken the Nine Dragons Cauldron from Billy. They have that capability. But they didn’t. Do you know why?”
“Because they know that even if they took it, it wouldn’t work for them. The Nine Dragons Cauldron wouldn’t obey them…” Bobby Cooper replied.
Halfway through his sentence, he seemed to realize something and looked at Sanaa with bright eyes. “You mean Mr. Billy can use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to enter Deadland?”
“Grand Hall has thought of this. Didn’t you?” Sanaa said. “They invited Billy to Prime City because they want him to work for them!”
“Are you sure Mr. Billy can do it?” Bobby Cooper asked again.
“The biggest obstacle for outsiders entering Deadland is the death energy around it and the wandering souls inside. Do you think those can stop the Nine Dragons Cauldron?” Sanaa retorted.
“But I’ve heard that Mr. Billy can’t yet use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to defend himself…” Bobby Cooper said again.
“You talk too much!” Sanaa impatiently glanced at him. “If it weren’t for your Sect Master’s sake, I wouldn’t bother talking to you!”
She then turned to Billy. “Let’s go. Since they don’t need your help, we’ll go talk to Grand Hall. I’m sure they’ll welcome us!”
With that, she made as if to turn away.
“Miss Sanaa, I’m sorry for offending you!” Bobby Cooper quickly spoke up. “I’m just worried that even if Mr. Billy can enter Deadland, with his current strength…”
“Cut him once!” Sanaa didn’t respond to him but turned to Billy and said.
