Book:Mated to the Devil Alpha Published:2024-12-4

Probably I shouldn’t.
I should worry over why I summoned Delta Axon out of his Park just to have some sort of words with him. Originally, it wasn’t my plan, it was Hawk’s idea of meeting with him privately. It then became Axon’s idea not to meet in the park since he needed everything to be confidential and organized.

This day, and the afternoon seem more slowly than I imagined I thought I might not be able to wait for the evening but I did. I was at the edge throughout waiting for the guards to return with Delta Axon as planned. I couldn’t leave my office as I gazed out of the window which leads to the thick paths of the woods. Not out of fear but deep curiosity to know if my guards are able to find Rain just like I instructed them to do so.
‘Rain is an attractive woman, seriously, I felt attracted to her that if you had not been my Alpha, I would have claimed her amd make her proud of being my mate’.
Hawk’s words kept ringing inside of me, I couldn’t believe it. My own Beta is in love with the same woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. My mate, the needed Luna of my park, how could he do this to me?
‘He didn’t say he loves her, he said he finds her attractive’ Mox scoffed.
I have always known that he has something towards Rain, I have always viewed it as nothing but just being helpful to me but hearing him confess his attraction to Rain right in front of me is the highest form of disrespect…..
“Fuck! I am just going crazy” I yelled as I ran my fingers through my hair as I walked a few steps away from the window then faced the door but stared blankly at my chair Rain had once sat on.
My mind drifted to what I did to Brook yesterday. I did really wanted to kill him, I wanted to pluck his heart out and let him see it for a few seconds before he finally dies. But no way!
‘Poor child’ Mox muttered ‘But Rain is even poorer’ he added.
I know that I am not Good, I have treated Rain with so much hatred in my heart because of Olivia but, we can still patch things up.
‘Right mate’ I said in the mind link to her ‘We can still patch things up because I am fucking sorry and I have done lots of bad things but I love you and….’.
What does it matter? She probably hears it all but will not reply.
And all I want right now is to mend things and bring her back to me safely, not just her alone, and Caramel if they haven’t killed themselves. I need the both alive and having the feeling that they might be dead crushed me so hard that I could feel the pieces of my heart turning into liquid.
What if she is pregnant? Just saying, you know since I first raped… had sex with her, her body has been kind of different same as her mood. I even broke it, and I am proud I took her innocence.
‘Including Olivia’s Mox reminded ‘I am sure you should be proud of that too’.
The sound of footsteps alerted me and took my attention away from the door I had been staring at blankly. I turned towards the window only to find some of the awaiting guards walking into the park.
‘No Hawk?’ Mod asked.
My eyes flickered around for any sight of Rain walking in with them but I couldn’t see her, a deep frown rested on my face and I wondered what happened again.
Not like I believe in magic, I am beginning to think I need a witch to help me find her.
The door soon opened as Hawk, and two of the Guards walked in without warning. I know Hawk must have opened the door himself, he just dares me sometimes. My eyes fixed on the guards who at the sight of me immediately bowed their heads in… shame?
“Where is Rain? Or Axon?” I asked without wasting any time, my eyes glancing from one man to another.
At first, they didn’t say a word until the devil who was among them decided to show up. How come I didn’t notice him all this while?
“We are sorry Alpha Axon that there is no sign of your Luna because you had been checking the wrong places” Axon smiled.
That audacity!
He just has this aura of making me pissed as if he actually studied it.
“You searched every nook and cranny of the woods and beyond but we couldn’t find her, it’s like she vanished out of thin air, Right?” He walked a few steps closer “But you have ignored the smallest place you should have checked” he added.
I was about to ask them why they even returned. Why they couldn’t be useful but seeing them alone, I know they want their Luna just like I do. Even Mox could feel it.
Moreover, I sent for this annoying Delta in front of me, and believe me when I say the only thing stopping me from killing him is that I just feel he can help.
“My apologies Alpha Rex” Delta Axon slightly bowed “Greetings and my deepest sympathy for your… Searching?” He asked.
Looking up to Hawk, I am beginning to regret why I ever thought of sending for him.
‘He has something for you, Alpha’ Hawk said in the mind link ‘He has her…’
“Just a cut of her hair” Axon raised his left hand to reveal a tiny black line on his palm “Just a little but I know your lab would do some Justice, won’t it?” He asked looking very puzzled and I couldn’t help but feel exactly that same way.
That’s weird. They now want to cut her hair.
So many thoughts run through my mind, time is slipping away and I can’t just stand and watch this bad news getting to me every time.
“I know you called because you think I can help you, Alpha Rex but you know I can’t help for free” Axon inwardly growled “We have to make a legit deal”.
I moved my head and found Hawk’s gaze on mine standing not too far, he had his eyes fixed on the guards who soon began to leave. He had again acted without telling him, how bold and helpful. As soon as our eyes met, he looked away clearly avoiding my gaze.
‘Helpful Asshole!’ Mox cussed.
“I am not as useless as you feel, most feared Alpha Rex whose mate got kidnapped from his park” Axon added painfully “Don’t you think about the insider that would hate your mate?” He asked.
I raised a brow watching him keenly.
“Who knows if the person might be a male?” Axon asked glancing at Hawk who immediately growled “Just saying, what I meant wasn’t any insider at all can be a suspect, you know? What if they kill her after…” He shrugged.
Frankly, I believe him already!
No way!
My mate can’t be dead!
She is alive!
Not dead! Because he said ‘what if’.
I opposed it so strongly but I couldn’t fail to admit that my legs became wobbly and I tried to hide my shivering hands.

Seeing is believing.
If he can connect and bring me some hair claiming that it belongs to my mate, the lab can still find out. Amd if it happens to be hers, he surely has no idea the kind of mess he had gotten into but what should I say now?
“No problem, Delta Axon,” I said.
Since he hated being addressed as a Delta, maybe I should also learn how to hit the nerves of these milky Alphas and Delta.
“We have a deal once I confirm it to me Rain’s hair,” I said.
