Lilith
“Are you that foolish? If I told you that I was Calix, would you let me become close to you? Don’t be dumb, bro. And lastly, don’t ever call me Raphael. My name is Calix Black, your worst nightmare,” he bellowed, growling as he bared his teeth.
“Well, well, remember how I told you that if you see my mate, you will be shocked, I guess you are beyond shocked,” Daphne laughed before snorting.
Wow!
Somebody, wake me up!
Pinching myself, tears rolled down my eyes when I found out I wasn’t dreaming.
The whole drama and twist were too much for me to bear; I almost started hyperventilating.
“You wanted to ruin my plans when you decided to move in with Alpha Casper all of a sudden!”
“I knew you shouldn’t be trusted. I sensed it in my gut,” Alpha Casper interrupted, spitting at her in disgust.
“But we’ve been together for years, and you didn’t figure out that I was a double agent, stupid,” Casper replied, smirking.
“So you were never kidnapped after all, you planned this, you bitch. You set me up!”
“Are you just figuring this out? Why are you so dumb like your stupid Alpha?”
“Okay, but you can take me to Rodrigo, but leave my family out of it, including Alpha Casper,” I pleaded, clasping my hands.
“Unfortunately, you’ve implicated your family. Liam would be trained to be in the gang after you’ve been sold to Rodrigo, Rose would strip for the club or she would be sold alongside you to a potential client since beauty runs in your family. While your knight in shiny armour will be killed. Such a tragic ending for a family,” she faked tears, pouting her lips before bursting into laughter.
“Why would you kill him?”
“That’s between Alpha Calix and him.”
“Alpha Calix? Very funny,” Alpha Casper sneered.
“The same way I will laugh when you are being lowered into the earth 6 feet under. It will be very funny, right Dad?”
“Excellent, son. You’ve finally proved to me that you are capable of accomplishing the tough mission. You can have Casper’s pack. You are the Alpha already. Easy peasy.”
“That was the reason you kept telling me I wasn’t prepared to rule my pack. But in the beginning, it was you who insisted I check out my pack. You act nice and supportive, yet you stab me behind my back. You always wanted Lilith gone because of the evil act you wanted to carry out. You are my enemy.” Alpha Casper turned to Alec with a look of disdain.
“It was you all along, you bastard!”
“Aunt Daphne, save us, please!”
“Get your hands off me, or my dad will kill you like he killed those men,”
“Don’t go close to her. She is evil. She did this to us.” I tried to explain. But while Rose was trembling, Liam was standing strong, unperturbed, and brave like his father.
“But why? You and mummy were best friends, and you promised to spend time with me-”
“Can someone shut these kids up before I do something nasty to their lips!” Calix screamed, breathing hard and fast in anger.
“Touch my kids, and I’ll kill you, traitor!” I yelled, struggling against it, but the men held me down. “Don’t yell at my kid!”
“You!” I turned to Daphne. “You did this to me? You delivered me to the hands of my enemies?! Just like your traitor mate, you hated me all these while but pretended to support me? You guys fit each other.”
“Well, I love money like every other girl and I’ve done you a huge favour by giving you money for your mum. I am doing this to avenge their deaths!”
“They died in an accident…” I corrected it.
“No,” she shook her head as her voice cracked. “They died on their way to get your mother a new cleaning job because they wanted the best for her after your father threw her out of the house. I was made an orphan because of you people. If you guys hadn’t shown up, my parents would still be alive.”
” I didn’t let it bother me all this while, and I still loved and supported you until I was mated to Calix a few years ago after you left this town. He made me understand that you have to pay with your family for wiping out mine.” Daphne narrated, wiping the tears on her cheeks before hugging Calix.
“You make me sick. You were Calix, who kept sending all those threatening messages,” I spat at him, eyeing him in disgust.
Calix gritted his teeth, turning to Aloha Caper. “Yes. Maybe I am sick. I plotted those attempted kidnaps. I wanted her fired and tried to get into your head. I delayed coming the day you got stabbed with a silver knife because I wanted you dead on arrival, but you already had a mate, so you healed quickly.”
“I saw your message the day you were cursed, but I deliberately came 8 hours late because I knew you wouldn’t survive this year’s pain. I tried poisoning your kind against Lilith to keep her out of the way so my mission to kill you will go smoothly. I had all the information about her but withheld some that would make you pity and support her… I want your pack and your life, Casper.”
“Shoot him already,” Alec yelled, grabbing his gun to point it at Alpha Casper.
While all this was going on and attentions were shifted to us, Liam freed Rose, while Rose handed a gun to Alpha Casper behind him so others wouldn’t notice.
“One more word, I’m sorry, Dad.”
Alex looked perplexed as he glared at Calix. “What do you mean-”
Before he could finish his statement, Calix fired three shots at his head, making him fall to the ground as blood oozed from his head.
“What have you done? Get him, boys,” he ordered with his last strength, wincing in pain.
“Save the stress for your forever vacation in hell. Your boys work for me now,” he smirked, firing him on his chest. “That is for always undermining me and reminding me that I will forever be nothing but a bastard son to you. This next shot is for taking over the trafficking business. At least I did my part, delivered the girl, and I’ll kill your nemesis’ son.”
“You backstabbed me?” Alec tried to speak, but his voice was slightly above a whisper as he lost strength and blood.
“I’m the new boss,” he answered coldly before shooting his chest while watching his father’s head fall on the floor lifelessly.
While all this was going on, Rose and Liam had stumbled out of the warehouse quietly without being noticed, according to Alpha Casper’s orders.
Before Calix and everyone’s attention could be shifted, Alpha Casper swung into action, shifting into his massive wolf form while I shifted into mine as he took down all the men, wasting no time in killing Calix on sight.
He possessed the super strength of a hundred men, dodging the flying silver bullets as he used the unsuspecting guards as a shield before launching on his next victim.
After minutes of fighting, everyone was dead, including Lilith.
We walked out of the warehouse, hugging each other before Rose and Liam joined us.
“I thought you died in there,” Rose wailed, tightening the hug.
“Is this over?” Liam asked, putting up a bold face as he wrapped his short hands around us.
“We are fine now. No one would attack us again.”
The End.
