Lilith
I found myself in his office, slumping on his chair.
It was like I was controlled by another being who directed my movement.
My mind was far from this world.
“I am sorry for your loss,” he started.
“But behind every dark cloud is a silver lining. Your mum might have died, but your sister is cancer-free. I wanted to break the news today, although we noticed it last week. Rose can be discharged to live a happy and normal life.”
“Ok,” I responded slowly, nodding my head with sadness plastered on my face.
This wasn’t the way I intended to celebrate when Rose was cancer-free, but my heart was crushed.
“She will come for checkups often to observe her progress. Now about your mum,” he stated, swallowing, while I watched lifelessly.
“When do you want to bury her? Do you want her cremated, or is there something you…”
“I’m sorry, I’m not ready. I am pregnant. This is too much for me to bear.”
Unable to hear the news of my mum’s death, I stood from the chair and walked out of his office.
Grabbing Rose, I was able to calm her, wiping her face before getting a bus that conveyed us to the estate.
I would hide Rose in my room tonight and introduce her to Alpha Casper tomorrow.
We didn’t reach the estate until it was getting dark.
Sneaking into the estate, I instructed Rose to stay in the drawing room while I surveyed my room.
I didn’t want Rose bumping into Alpha Casper’s naked body. She wasn’t in the right frame of mind to feel uncomfortable.
I hope I tidied the room as I couldn’t remember if I hit the box containing my sexy clothes in case anyone entered the room.
I had barely taken a few steps on the last floor when I perceived 2 scents.
What were Alpha Casper and Raphael doing in my room, and why were they so mad?
Pushing the door gently, I was met with Raphael and Alpha Casper’s blazing eyes.
I hadn’t walked in before Alpha Casper grabbed me by my neck and slammed me against the wall, digging his fingers into my throat as I gasped for breath.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw my costumes scattered on the floor.
My body fled from my soul at the realization.
How did he find out?
Didn’t I cover the box with other clothes to avoid suspicion?
I was doomed!
There was no point in lying. I was caught red-handed.
I regretted not telling the truth before he found out.
“How could you!” He yelled, his voice laced with hurt. I could tell he was about to burst into tears.
“I’m sorry…I tried to tell…you, but…I was afraid,” I struggled to talk, breathing with my open mouth.
“So it’s you. It’s been you all this while!” He screamed, tears rolled down my face as I felt like a betrayer.
“You are a whore? You sell your body for men?”
“No!”
“How much did they offer you? Was it higher than mine? What else did they instruct you to do? Fuck yourself until you cum?!”
“No. Please…” I tried apologizing, but it was too late. I was silenced by his yells.
“Did they invite you over and fuck your brains out for money?!”
“No. Please believe me. You are my first and it’s been no one except you.”
“I will never believe anything that comes out of that lying tongue!” He hissed, pushing me away as I lost balance, hitting my back on the floor.
Wincing in pain, I struggled to stand to my feet. My eyes were fixed on the floor as I couldn’t bear to look at the hurt that laced Alpha Casper’s eyes.
Covered in mortification, I could hear Raphael’s sneers.
I know how happy the bastard would be.
“If someone told me this day would come, I would doubt it because I trusted you, yet you betrayed me. I told you everything you wanted to know about me, including the affair on the app that I didn’t know was you. That explains why you wanted us to slow down on the preparation because you enjoyed performing like a whore for the men!” He spat, fuming in rage as he dipped his fingers into his pocket to bring out a small black box.
“You can have the ring, I guess everything is called off. There is no us anymore,” he said in a firm tone, throwing the box at me.
“You can sell off the diamond ring since all you care about is money!” Mockery dripped in his voice as he released a sad chuckle.
“You gold-digging bitch!” Raphael added, his eyes shooting daggers at me.
“I’m sorry. It wasn’t intentional. I joined the app because I didn’t want to be a burden to you after all you did for me, sorting my mum’s medical bills and all. I needed money…”
“That’s it. All I wanted to hear. You always need money.”
“You hurt me, Lilith. You hurt me so bad. I hardly recovered from a heartbreak, yet you didn’t think twice before ripping my heart apart. I showed you all my soft sides, saving your life while endangering mine, breaking several rules for you and taking you as a priority. Anna and Raphael were close to me dearly before I was even Alpha, yet none of them enjoyed the privilege that I showered you with within months.”
Tears dropped from his eyes and my heart clenched in pain as his emotions hit me.
“I’m sorry. I should have come clean to you-”
“I am happy the Alpha finally understands my feelings. You shouldn’t be trusted. Apart from seducing men for money, you almost broke our bond. Your presence always caused disagreement between us. I almost lost him to you.”
Gritting his teeth and fighting against his wolf, he glared at me with hatred.
I could sense what was coming next wasn’t going to be nice.
My heart thumped in anticipation as fear clouded me.
“I, Alpha Casper Hunter of Blackwood pack, reject you, Lilith Parker, as my mate and Luna.”
“No!”
